Mother-daughter duo, entered the house at the same time, were open about their relationship, played as separate housemates

thanks, i looked them up, i thought Travers was a third person

i really don't like that, but it looks like it might be the way are going this year. unless all of the HMs are entering like this i find it so unfair for the HMs that enter on their own without a comfort net

another potential twist (seeing as A-Mav loves borrowing from BBUK) - the "People's Puppet" twist.

Cast the "average" Australian - ie: 37-year-old female - who is put in to complete tasks selected by viewer's choice (ie - do/don't sabotage house task, do/don't push for useless product on shopping budget, nominate who Australia picks, do/don't "shred" clothing of housemates).

They are immune from nomination but will be (fake) "evicted" after week 2/3 - but, unlike the UK version, the fact they were Australia's puppet will never be revealed.

so they are not a HM, just a mole? this person does not want to play the game? it would be hard to go in not wanting to stay and play but there would be people happy with that. i suppose if they went in there and did cause drama, lots of drama, and if this was not revealed even when they have their banquet night towards the end, it could be good

why stop at one mole though? moley, moley, moley

the average Australian woman only lives to be 74? 4 years of retirement, crap

BBUK had an actor, so I spose it's just an actress.

And the life expectancy for Australians is 82 years - I think men would drag that figure down..?

[Also(!), I hate to get my (unpopular) economically-right-wing (but socially-left-wing, don't shoot!) political opinion in, but the age 70 thing is just when you access pension (and that's in 2035, as well - which is only a slight increase on Labor's 'age 67 in 2023' policy). It's to stop the increasing trend of people blowing their super as soon as they retire. I'm not a huge fan of talking politics, though - so that's all I'm going to point out]

ah, the actress. well i am sort of warming to it if she does a convincing job, and that we know that is what she is, and that the HMs aren't actors

like i said, why not have more of these come in as intruders and let us in on the fact they are playing a role. we don't need a Justynn conspiracy like last year where everyone was confused as to what happened

He punched on.. and was evicted. Seemed very straightforward to me.
Sadly.. in this modern day of "scripted" reality TV and the lack of "Live" streaming.. We were told a very confusing storyline by the BB crew and shown a bunch of heavily edited clips to make it appear as if nothing happened.

Was the punching Ed thing ever confirmed? I thought we never got a straight answer as to whether or not it happened.

who knows about the punch but the updates were a shocker, NONE. but i referring to him being the actor

Ch9 were total idiots... don't they realise that justynnnnnnnnobhead punching on would have got more viewers? That's the kind of shit people want to see.[DOUBLEPOST=1401140744][/DOUBLEPOST].... especially if he knocked Ed out haha

August is pretty much confirmed at tho point, yes?
also, make everybody a mole, but tell them all that they're the only one, then alex mavikwhatdoesthefoxsayakis can control them like lil puppets, oh wait...

I thought there were some hints being thrown around that they were looking for 'mothers' when casting ...

seriously though - what about some originality?!? why go back to what has already been done? why repeat things - there are surely infinite possibilities available to them - why are they lazy about it?

thats one thing that got me with the BBCAN thing of copying the exact speech for the HOH and POV ceremonies - don't they have their own writers who could come up with something unique to Canada?

its not like the production team don't have time to be thinking of new things during off season - sure I know they must move on to other work - they wouldn't be paid year round by BB ... but if you were seriously invested in your job and the BB series surely ideas would spring to mind - lightbulb moments I call them - the stuff that wakes you in the middle of the night!

where are the creative minds??? the abstract thinkers??? I don't want boring ole formula BB ...[DOUBLEPOST=1401165036][/DOUBLEPOST]oopseys - sorry Tim :S

Well to be fair at the end of the speeches in BBCAN they say the ceremony is complete" and in BBUSA they say the "ceremony is adjourned"

This mother daughter thing is going to be shit! I'm going into this new season of BBAU with very very low expectations. Hopefully I might be surprised and the season will turn out to actually be good, but I won't hold my breath.

I'd say in 4-6 week the first advertising might come out. Not a full promo but little stuff, meaning from that another 4-6 weeks until it might start?

I've actually thought about this for a little while - how these seasons seem to follow the trends Ten did at double-pace.

Season 2012 = Season 2001/02 - Still new, fresh. Trying a few different things, but mostly working on getting an image across. Two intruders, not very gimmicky.

Season 2013 = Season 2003/04 - Trying a few new gimmicks here. Split house ala '03. More intruders. Bit more stunt casting

Season 2014 = Season 2005/06 - Casting people who are single - looking for showmances. Mother/daughter duos getting further in casting. Something NQR ("Think Again").
The 2005/2006 format would not work with the family friendly format though. The 2005/2006 format was all about young, attractive, single people hooking up with each other. Unless Channel 9 want to build on last years Late Night Feast show.

I thought after The Voice The Block would be on and during BB The Voice kids would run on a Sunday like AGT did last year. Guess I was wrong if Nine are running ads for The Voice kids already.

Pretty sure they could still air most content that made the Daily Show those years as "family-friendly". Hell, knowing Nine, they'd turn a Jamie/Katie mock wedding situation into a one-hour special.

Maybe The Voice Kids will air alongside The Block this year instead of alongside Big Brother?
