Couples who work and don't work together are apart 8+ hours a day and have other things and people to focus on. That's not where they are right now. I don't think anyone is saying that long distance would be best long term if this relationship lasts. But if it works okay for now, it does seem like a potentially good learning experience for both of them.
Well said.

i understand that but it's at the stage people want part-time relationships to keep their identity, but i also see the growing number of dysfunctional families. for some, where is home anymore? there has to be a stable place for people to connect if they want to call it a relationship. that's me and my emotional thoughts on this

This is where I start to think that relationship and love get mixed up. Sure it's easier when you date someone who is close by and you can see everyday. But a relationship should not be a convenience it should purely be based on the connection between a person IMO. Focusing on other things is not going to make a relationship strong, but focusing on the primary factors, attraction and connection and love and all their worths is what will determine a good relationship. For many they can have both the convenience and the connection, but for some, they aren't as lucky. My point is no matter how dysfunctional it may seem, the two people in that relationship will decide the worth of it and that to me determines the strength and devotion for one another.

Please note, I'm a hopeless romantic lol

at the end of that day they come home to the same bed, the emotional constant

edit : hopefully not a dodgy rocky one like Tim's :)

I know, I know! But they had no issue with advertising the Italian language (which I loved- that scene where bb and jade spoke Italian was exquisite), they also showed mikkaylas issues with the way she looked due to her Asian background, plus they had theme nights such as Mexican or Japanese. I'd say that the indigenous community deserved a representation of some sort too if they were going to do these theme nights. Anyways, I do understand that they want to perhaps avoid it because it is a sensitive topic amongst many and I can see how it can move away from the bb concept. But just as my opinion, I think it does suck.

I loved how they showed jade's italian side as well! I feel like they could've at least put this sort of dialogue in the live feed clips, i'm sure tim would've talked about his volunteer work for the indigenous community too.
They seemed to only air conversations about aboriginals when it was about racism rather than their positive beliefs.. which I dont see being controversial.

You don't want the viewers to be thinking of anything other than the BB contestants. So you can't show them talking about issues or other things that might take the viewer away from the BB experience.

Don't be silly, what are you all thinking?

oopseys

sowwwwwwyyyy

hanging my head in shame

<yet again!>

the last 2 years of BB the viewers have been shown very little of even basic conversations at all, it might seemed there was some because we compared it with what we were getting from the mute SS

hopefully Channel 9 and BB will take AIRING hms chats to a new level this year, one can only hope

Good point! I think the racism talk is more controversial. The positives probably were viewed as boring because you know the convos they showed were much more enlightening ;)

And people who don't have that option have the phone call or the FaceTime or whatever. Again, it's not ideal in the long run, but the point is that physical presence isn't the only possible constant.

The only thing that's going to allow us to see these sort of important discussions amongst the BB contestants is bringing back the proper live feed. Not someone in MumbaiHQ telling us what's happening with screen shots, but us seeing what the producers see 24 hours a day like we used to.

It's sad that they had such incredible positive discussions about such topics and we never saw them. I didn't like Tahan much from the edited version, but would have loved to hear what she said. Tahan brought a lot of good points to the discussions we did see.

i am talking crap, don't worry. i think of what i have said and then think about forces that aren't in peoples control. there are people in the Defence Forces that don't see their partners for extended periods, and other professions that have the same deal. it just wouldn't be for me personally. hope that doesn't make me a clinger
