Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

@drade thanks for the welcome.

[MENTION=31245]janedoe[/MENTION] thanks for the welcome and i agree wholeheartedly. i have to remind myself how young jade is, sometimes. for me, that is a contributing factor too.

by the way, love the pic of her in the pool, but i had to laugh seeing her pic and the one of ed. talk about night and day.

Sounds like a good deal to me, but don't be expecting a premiership anytime soon ;) Not sure what Ed would have to say about this deal though. :)

Will just have to stick with AFL then, my team is hard enough don't need another lol. I'm sure Ed would be stoked (my tongue keeps getting stuck in my cheek) hahaha

I think within the house, where Ed didn't have access to his party lifestyle, they meshed very well. I think they both have a silly side as well as a fiercely loyal and committed side. I think they are committed to and loyal to dramatically different things, but I think the fact that Ed is the guy that won't cheat once he commits is what clouded Jade's ability to read the situation. She correctly interpreted that behavior and then tried to get him to fall in love with her, not realizing that it wasn't about HER, that no matter what he said, he wasn't emotionally mature enough for a real relationship. Her big mistake was interpreting his emotional immaturity as emotional stability, something she repeatedly cited as an example of how he was too good for her.

Within the house, one of the things that was repeatedly claimed is that Jade changed to please boring old Ed's version of appropriate behavior. I think it's pretty clear now that Jade is actually the boringly sedate one and she thought she had found her match in Ed because he presented that way in the house and I do think that is a PART of him. It's just not the part that he really wants to embrace right now. The thing is, she pretty much knew this other side was there, hence her worry that he would be hooking up with random girls on the outside while she was still in the house. But I think all along she attributed his desire for that lifestyle as a failure on her part rather than on his own immaturity, thinking that if she was good enough he would give up that behavior and be the man he claimed to want to be. So yes, her baggage prevents her from accurately interpreting the cause Ed's behavior but I don't think she was ever completely blind to that part existing.

What I would just want to drive home to her is that Ed choosing to continue that lifestyle is NOT a reflection of her at all! I can't imagine anyone swaying him from it at this point in his life, it's simply who he wants to be, and there's nothing wrong with that, as long as he's willing to be honest about it and let Jade go to find a person who is ready for her right now.

You guys kill me with all of this Australian sports talk because I have no idea what it is! I just smile and nod....like Jade. ;)

I do know what the Australian Open is, though. Do you all think Jade mentioned attending just to cloud all of the Ed speculation?

Yeah it's funny that their contrasting pics only serves to highlight their different lifestyles.
