Now I've watched the full Five(ish) Doctors, plus the Behind The Lens : Day Of The Doctor special (13 minutes), and listened to Graham Norton's 3 hour (!) Doctor Who radio show.
Still to go for me is the docu-drama, plus a special called Me You & Doctor Who, and the after-party.
I've never, ever known there to be so much stuff around, it's amazing.

...I'm back!... omfg!... how awesome was it?... first thing that I must say...as everyone probably already knows... I have NEVER been much of a fan of Steve Moffatt... especially when he changed the Daleks from bronze to big chunky effeminate multi-coloured Daleks and changed the Cybermen from a brilliantly styled robots into walking suits of armour akin the the types that used to joust on horses... well... I'm now officially a pro Moffatt man!... (even though Russell T Davis is better in my opinion)... but yes!... he is now on my personal 'good list' again...
...the entire show was as brilliant as I thought that it was going to be... actually... it was BETTER than I thought it would ever be!!!!!... the big battle... the 3D paintings... the Zygons (yes I liked them... what a blast from the past!)... Gallifrey and the Timelords are still in existence (Sticky punches the air in happiness)... the fact that there were only bronze Daleks and not the chunky effeminate multi-coloured ones in the story... and some great rapport between the characters... some really great quotes... these among them...
..."Why are you pointing your screwdrivers like that!... they're scientific instruments... not water pistols!"... (John Hurt to Tennant and Smith)...
..."oh the pointing again...they're screwdrivers... what are you going to do?... assemble a cabinet at them?"... (John Hurt to Tennant and Smith))...
..."Are you capable of speaking without flapping your arms about?"... (John Hurt to Matt Smith)...
..."I demand to be incarcerated in the Tower immediately with my co-conspirators 'sandshoes' and 'granddad'!"... (Matt Smith describing Tennant and Hurt)...
..."why are we all together?... why are we all here?... me and 'chinny'... (Tennant pointing to Smith)... we were surprised but you came looking for us... you knew it was going to happen... who told you?"... (Tennant to Hurt)...
...'Oi!... 'chinny'?"... (Smith to Tennant)...
..."Yeah... you do have a chin!"(Tennant to Smith)...
...'Timey what?... timey wimey?... (Hurt asking Smith what it means)...
..."I've no idea where he picks that stuff up!" Tennant utters... (he was the originator of the phrase in the 'Blink' episode when he was The Doctor)...
..."Oh we might as well get started... it'll help tp pass the 'timey wimey'...do we have to talk like children?... what is it that makes you so ashamed of being a grown-up?... (Hurt asking Smith)...
..."WE are incredibly clever!"... (Smith)... (the three Doctors have spent ages in trying to figure out how to unlock the cell door and then Clara bursts in)... "How did you do that?"... (Smith asking Clara)...
..."It wasn't locked!"... (Clara answers)...
...(after a few seconds Clara asks)... "Hang on...three of you in one cell and none of you thought to try the door?"...
...(bewildered Hurt replies)... "It should've been locked!"...
..."Oh good one Doctor (Tennant to himself after Queen Elizabeth 1 kisses him)... "so much for history and the 'Virgin Queen'!"...
...(Smith to one of the Museum workers)... "have you got a name?"...
..."Yes!"... she replies...
..."Oh good!... I've always wanted to meet someone named 'Yes'!"...
...there's so much to mention... Billie Piper as 'Badwolf'... she was great... she wasn't actually playing as Rose but then I'm glad that she didn't... the Doctors didn't really need two companions... Clara was great in her part of the story when talking to John Hurt about the red button moment... a really moving moment... ... all the different 'TARDIES'S/TARDI??????'... (lol!... I like that Medusa... so funny)... the Zygon was the horse!... (I never saw that coming lol!)... The Doctor marries the 'Virgin Queen'... what a hoot!...
...one of my most favourite moments for me was when Tennant and Smith turned up when Hurt was about to press the red button to share the responsibility of all the impending deaths of millions instead of loathing him as much as they always have in the past... that really made it for me...such a great moment!...
...Matt Smith has certainly gone out of the series in grand style in his last ever full episode with his long talk with Clara... a brilliant moment for him...
...Tennant and Hurt really carried off theor roles to perfection so well... real highlights of the 50th celebration show!... seeing all the other Doctors from the past and the old 'TARDIES'S/TARDI??????' coming together to defeat the Daleks as a alternative of pushing the red button is a stroke of genius on Moffatts part... I really do tip my hat to him... (never thought I'd ever say that and really mean it about him lol!)...
...seeing perfect replicas of the old 'TARDIES'S/TARDI??????' both inside and out was a boner... (I mean... bonus)... for me too!... finally... Tom Baker as the 'Curator'... I so loved that moment!... a great finish to the whole episode!... pure brilliance!!!!!... "Gallifrey falls no more"... what a magnificent ending!!!!!...
...it's amazing to think that we are now in the 60th years of Doctor Who!... to think... it's our 6th decade of this brilliant show!!!... I love it!...
...to sum up the whole thing in one word... brilliant!... magnificent!... marvellous!... wonderful!... awesome!... fantastic!... fabulous!... superb!...... (okay I used more than one word lol!)...
...I've watched it twice now and will watch it again after 'An Adventure In Space And Time' which has just started... what a great day!... cheers.

Glad you enjoyed it Mr Sticky. In addition to all those moments you mentioned, I also loved that the Tennant Doctor kissed both Queen Elizabeths, one of whom was a Zygon, & the Smith Doctor's "I'm not judging!" response. The whole thing was effortlessly funny, but still dramatic when it mattered.

...didn't David and Matt bounce off each other so well Meglos?... they went so well together... that was another funny moment...
Plus the bit with the girl (Osgood?) in the Tom Baker scarf, where her Zygon double gives her her inhaler back. So there are nice Zygons.
...yeah that was good too... Moffatt really hit a winner with both the poignant times and the humorous side of it... all hats off to him for the writing...
...hey Meglos... the 'Me You & Doctor Who' and the 'after-party'... are they going to be on TV or are they on the internet my friend?... I tried to watch 'Behind The Lens : Day Of The Doctor special' on this link...
http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/the-day-of-the-doctor-behind-the-lens-56037.htm
...and all I got was... 'the uploader has not made this available in your country'... so can you tell me where you saw them/going to see them please?...
...I'm so loving the 'An Adventure in Space and Time' show at the moment... it's really well done.... everything looks so authentic... cheers
A lot of this stuff is not on TV here, I'm using BBC iplayer & stuff to track them down, it's a bit of a pain but worth it.
...oh okay mate... I'll investigate... Google is my friend lol!... cheers.
...wow!... I so loved 'An Adventure in Space and Time'... superb!... my god the way Verity Lambert stood her ground to keep Doctor Who alive!... a magnificent woman indeed... the whole show had an authentic theme throughout the entire running time...perfection to detail on every level... well written and continuous pace throughout... kudos to all involved!...
...seeing the old Daleks as they were was superb... they were the ones that used to terrify me when I was 10 years old... my brother was 7 years old and used to hide behind me whenever they came on lolol!... aaaaah!... such great memories!...
...this show made my day complete to a big extent... I'm going to watch both shows again as of now and I'll be spending the next couple of days watching all of the Dr Who shows that I've taped on Foxtel for the last couple of days!... yeeeeehaaaaaaaa!... this show just keeps on giving doesn't it?... cheers.

Firstly, nutmeg -
See you later stickyfingers, oh the Beatles one they should so do, and Leonardo is very cool.
Tonight it begins
And OMG, I just realised the TARDIS in 3D, that could feel like the next best thing to the ride of your life-time, :O
...it would sure be amazing if they did do one episode like that eh?...I'm glad that you liked them...

I love the little DW community we have here too, past & present, it all adds to the enjoyment.
So excited about tomorrow morning, I almost don't want to sleep in case I miss it. It's my brother's birthday today & we're going out to dinner, I can pretend it's a DW celebration too though.
...after looking at all the names of us Doctor Who nutters on here as of late I've come to realise that I'm the baby of this little group of ours... lol!... awesome!...
Ok, gushing then. I always thought it was moronic to write out Gallifrey. The last Timelord. But now we get them back. Couldn't be happier. OK, maybe it won't happen straight away - but it IS going to happen. YAAAAAY
...totally agree 100% nutmeg... we couldn't have asked for better methinks...
I heard something about Tom & Peter & Colin & Sylvester recording some sort of unofficial reunion thing, but I never thought for a minute that any of them would be in this one.
I'm so glad they retconned Gallifrey back. I think I saw a photo in that Vault of Lalla Ward as Romana, as she is now. In the audios she's been President of Gallifrey, I'd like to think that could be true in the real series too.
Now the repeat and the cool drama following tonight
The Five(ish) Doctors, written & directed by Peter Davison, is about 15-10mins, must see it is sweet and funny & has neat links to the Day of the doctor.
...I watched it... it's bloody hilarious!... it was so good to see them again eh?... the only thing that I didn't get with it was that Paul McGann said to them all at the beginning... "whatever you're planning... I want in!"... but we really didn't get to see him much after that?... hmmmmm... perhaps I should watch it again... methinks that I may have missed something?... cheers.
Oh my god. Day of the Doctor... I have no words. Doctor Who at it's most epic. What an incredible episode. And so glad I stayed offline all day so I could watch it tonight and be completely spoiler free! That glimpse of Capaldi! Tom Baker!!!!! wow!
And the reversal of the whole Time War storyline that has been a part of this series since 2005 - wonderful. I guess the whole notion of the search for Gallifrey has been set up for the next Doctor?
Such an amazing episode. Performances by everyone were perfect. I'll be rewatching scenes from this for years to come, maybe even decades! Do we dare call it the best DW episode ever?
Ditto everything you said Sticky

I was actually thinking that as I watched it.
After the (deserved) hype of the anniversary dies down. this episode is going to be very, very well regarded.
I predict it will be up there with Blink as not just a new series classic but an all-time classic.

...damn right we call it the best episode ever Will... to me it was one of the best episodes ever to explain so much in such a confined time restraint... it answered so many questions and filled in so many gaps at the same time and also gave us so much to think about for the future in regards to other Timelords and Gallifrey... there are now endless directions for this show to head for now... a brilliant script from Moffatt...

...Blink was one of my most favourite episodes of all time but now this episode has given it one hell of a nudge to one side lol!... and Meglos... you saying... 'I predict it will be up there with Blink as not just a new series classic but an all-time classic'... probably sums it up perfectly... it will be an all-time classic because it turned the whole future of Doctor Who into a totally new direction... that will be one of the main things that will endure about this episode... it will always be known for that in my opinion...
I missed it... So, what happened...?
And frankly I'm glad it's over and now the internet can go back to laughing at cats
...lol!... what happened?... the whole world and time-stream has changed forever!!!!!... that my friend is 'what happened'!... lol!...
...that's the thing SeanE... it's not over... we still have the Xmas special to go yet where Matt Smith does his last ever appearance on the show and regenerates into the new Doctor played by Peter Capaldi!!!...
I didn't watch Adventure In Space & Time yesterday but I just caught up with it. How fantastic was that??? It captured the early years of the show perfectly, what an awesome tribute to Hartnell, Lambert, Newman, Husein & everyone else involved.
...I have to agree... as I said in my post above... the attention to authentic detail in their costumes etc... the sets of the original series from the Tardis console to the Tardis interior down to the original TV Cameras of the day... how massive were they?... it really felt like being there in the early 60's... I'd be really surprised and disappointed if it doesn't get some sort of TV award of some type... it was truly inspiring... cheers.
...I found a great interview with Steve Moffatt in regards to 'The Day of the Doctor' on the 'Buzzfeed' website... he gives his take on the episode and as to why he wrote what he did in the story... what he says about the Doctor makes so much sense... a fascinating insight into how his mind ticks over...
...I had to laugh when he said... 'but then there’s a danger he just becomes about farting about a bit'... you can find it here on this link... cheers.

Steven Moffat Explains The Big “The Day Of The Doctor” Twist
The Doctor Who showrunner explains why he has changed the show’s mythology.
posted on November 24, 2013 at 10:17am EST
Dan Martin BuzzFeed Staff
Last night’s 50th anniversary Doctor Who special saw the show’s mythology change completely, with Gallifrey revealed to still exist.
BuzzFeed caught up with showrunner Steven Moffat at the official celebration event at London’s Excel. He confirmed that the Doctor is now definitely on a voyage home. “He has the possibility of going home,” he said. “He can find Gallifrey. It might take him a while, who knows? And who knows what he’ll do when he gets there? Get bored and run away again I would think. But! Yes, he has a mission statement now.”
The show is now effectively rebooted.
“I think there came a point where — it was fascinating when it came back, he was this war survivor dealing with guilt and rage and all of those things and that was his story,” says Moffat. “And of course he slowly gets over that, and you do sort of think — well you’ve got over genocide Doctor, that’s okay! But then there’s a danger he just becomes about farting about a bit, which takes the baseline out of the show somehow. By giving him something to pitch for… it’s not that every episode will be, ‘oh well I nearly found it!’ We absolutely will not do that, but it gives him somewhere to go. Even a character like the Doctor… this is going to sound absurd and I’m trying to work out a way not to sound pretentious, but he doesn’t know he’s a character in a television show, he doesn’t know he’s just having adventures for our entertainment. He’s got to have something to do, and this will be the thing he does.”
Because when you think about it, the Doctor is just not the genocide type.
As Moffat explains: “I remember thinking, ‘what was the most important occasion in the Doctor’s life?’ Obviously it was the day he blew up Gallifrey. Then I tried to imagine what writing that scene would be like, and I thought literally – there’s kids on Gallifrey and he’s going to push the button. He wouldn’t. He wouldn’t. I don’t care what’s at stake, he’s not going to do it. So that was the story – of course he never did that. He couldn’t have. He’s the Doctor, he’s the man who doesn’t do that. He’s defined by the fact that he doesn’t do that. Whatever the cost, he will find another way. So it had to be the story of what really happened that he’s forgotten. Of course he didn’t! He’s Doctor Who. He doesn’t do things like that.”

I am in love................
Weird and scary, I think I am in love with a TV show.
What is going to happen to me?
Will I end up like one of those freaky people who marry bridges and pillows???
Help......................no, I do not need help, anyone not loving Doctor Who needs help, poor bastards

God help them they will never know what they are missing, how sad is that.
SeanE, haaaaaaaaaaaa, haaaaaaaaaaa, haaaaaaaaaa................
"........over..."
haaaaa, haaaaaaaaaaa, haaaaaaaaaaaa,haaaaaaaaaaaa
What like a cricket over?
We just catch our breath & fasten the seatbelts, and go ......again, and again, and again.
I just got back from the movie, and that was my 3rd viewing, amazing.
They had to put on another screening straight after mine, as DW fans demanded it.
Totally buzzing, in case you can't tell

feel a bit like I'm drugged
And I say fellow Whovians, let us petition ABC to give us a doctor Who channel, now they have all those digital channels, give us an ABCWHO, non stop DW, episodes, specials, interviews, spin offs - they have more than enough shit to stuff a station 24 hours, have you seen iview???
Are you with me? Will you sign the petition? (I am going to learn how to set up on the net )
I can't make any sense at the moment, I have blissed out non stop for 3 days on DW.

Blink was one of my fav episodes too, so clever with all the 'timey-wimey' stuff.
But how clever was the 50th special: the sonic screwdrivers calculating for centuries (ok, to open an unlocked door, but still clever); the calcs for the planet freezing also starting centuries earlier; the time-hopping to get the painting into the Archive and then using it as transport; it being Matt's timeline so the other's don't remember, therefore he doesn't know anything until he lived it, even though past selves lived it first. So smart. Swoon.
I'm glad we all liked it so much. And John Hurt had the best lines - so much fun.
There's a nice DW timeline summary on BBC here: http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20131119-doctor-who-travels-through-time
Not sure I fully understand it, but it is interesting. Has clips for the episodes on each timeline too. Fun.
I've already seen the special four times and it has just started again on ABC2. Must ... resist ... watching ... again. Oh who am I kidding, I aint going nowhere.
