Moffat interview excerpt, oh this sounds so cool.
The 50th special will mark the return of David Tennant to the role of the Tenth Doctor, starring opposite the Eleventh, Matt Smith. How was it having two Doctors on set?
It was eye twisting at times. You don’t quite realise how these two men have become hard wired into your brain as the Doctor. Matt and David got on so well and their interaction on screen is a sublime double act. Matt said to me, “It’s a bit like Laurel and Laurel. It’s like Hardy didn’t turn up”. They are absolutely great together. Sometimes very, very, different, other times in moments they choose together they are exactly the same.
...I can see exactly where Moffatt is coming from... look at the interaction between the two of them on this video... awesome!... cheers.

...kxk you were saying that Peter Davison was your favourite Doctor a couple of pages back... I posted this clip waaaaaaay back in this thread a while ago so you may have possibly missed it... this clip was done for the 'Doctor Who - Children In Need Special'... it's called 'Time Crash' and came out in 2007... there are so many funny parts in it... too numerous to repeat... watch and enjoy... a truly wonderful skit indeed!... the fun starts at the 38 seconds mark... cheers.

...speaking of Peter Davison... here is an interview with him and Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee just after he had become the new Doctor... it was done as part of the 20th year celebrations at the time believe it or not lol!... there is also an interview with Verity Lambert who was one of the originators of the show... she was one of the people that helped Dr Who come to the screen in the first place...
...one interesting thing that I noticed... the female interviewer at that particular time asked them when a woman was going to become the next Doctor... something that was asked 30 years later when Peter Capaldi got the role... times never change do they?... lol!... cheers.

...here is the video... it was only done just yesterday!...there is a reference in it as to why an Australian writer of the show decided to use a Police Box as the Tardis... wouldn't it be great if this works out and they do an episode in Australia?... cheers.

the Federal Member for Dawson, George Christensen, presents a motion in the Australian Parliament, acknowledging the strong links between Australia and the television series. the motion calls for support to encourage producers to film a special episode in Australia to mark the 50th anniversary of the first screening in Australia.

An Australian MP obsessed with Doctor Who has brought a Dalek to parliament and moved a motion urging the BBC to film the show in Australia.
George Christensen, a member of the ruling Coalition, wore one of actor Tom Baker's trademark scarves in the House of Representatives as he used the fiftieth anniversary of the show to insist it is an "Australian institution".
He said the theme song was composed by an Australian, Ron Grainer, but resisted calls from across the chamber to sing it because "we have only got ten minutes".
"Australia is pretty similar to the UK in terms of its settings but I have got to say, imagine the Tardis landing near the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, in the Australian outback, Uluru, Ayers Rock," he told Parliament. "Think of all the exotic locations we could have."
The motion was supported by MPs and Doctor Who fans on both sides of the chamber, who were later photographed with a blow-up Dalek in the halls of Parliament. The motion has bipartisan support and is not expected to be put to a vote.
Mr Christensen's office told The Telegraph the MP attempted to bring a "real" Dalek – a movable replica – into Parliament House but security would not allow it. Instead, he flew his own blow-up Dalek to Canberra from the state of Queensland.
"In the lead-up to this 50th anniversary of Doctor Who there are so many connections between this show and this nation that I think Doctor Who is as much an Australian institution as it has been a British institution," Mr Christensen said.
"In the lead-up to this debate there have been lots of MPs who have approached me telling me the same thing over and over, that when they were a kid they used to hide behind the couch and build cushion fortresses to protect themselves from whatever was on the screen, and they loved the show."
Mr Christensen said the show has been filmed abroad before and urged Australia's public broadcaster, the ABC, and other entertainment and tourism agencies to support the move.
"It is great to have the Australian connection with it, but I think a greater Australian connection could come if a series were actually filmed down under," he said.

...quite a few weeks ago a group of young fellas were given permission to film a music video on the set of the Tardis... understandably so they were a tad bit excited about it... this video is a 'behind-the-scenes' look at the making of the video... I would be like a little kid again if I had access to it believe me lol!... here is the blurb from the YouTube video itself...

...this 'minisode'... (as they are calling them)... was done way back in 2009 when a guy named 'Tim' had won a lifelong dream to star in his own Dr Who scene... John Barrowman puts him through the hoops of what to do until a special guest turns up on set... what I found interesting is how the Tardis of the time looked for filming and seeing around the outer shell of the set too... here is the comment on YouTube...
...it looks to me that when they had finished the Dr Who filming that they must have had heaps of fun making these little side eipisodes to perhaps unwind eh?... here is the video... cheers.

...if you have 'Google Earth' on your computer or even just use the maps on the webpage yourself if you wish... there is an actual Tardis Police Box outside Earls Court Railway Station...

...if you are above it in 'Google Maps' you will see the 3d image of the Tardis... click on it and you suddenly appear inside the Tardis!... if you go to 'Google Earth street view' just go up to the genuine Police Box and scroll towards it and you will end up the same way... inside Matt Smiths Tardis... you can actually walk around in it and look at all of the dials and knobs of the Tardis console if you wish... look up and down to see it in all of it's glory... this is what it looks like...

...apparently it was put there as an added bonus 'easter egg' as a bit of fun by the people from Google itself... here is a direct link to it if you want to explore the Tardis...

stickyfingers it's going to take me all day to catch up with all the latest goodies you posted
And OMG it's Doctor heaven, he's everywhere, so much stuff - I went to facebook, oh good lord, more stuff...........
It's only 4 more days!, Well 5 if you count today.
Hide was so awesome.
Re-watching some episodes, I missed a lot.
I have been ill and the medications - well I drifted off more than I realised watching stuff over the past 12 months.
That guy trying to get DW to film in Oz is an idiot, producers have already said it's way too costly to fly everything here for no real gain - they have an avid fanbase here, have done forever.
So they do USA to promote the show, that needs no promotion here at all - fanbase is solid, huge and still growing.
Ooo you know what would be cool? They should get a royal to do a cameo, Harry!
Or the Queen she could knight the doctor - and she has already done a Bond thing so.............
I can't wait for the weekend, I especially want to see how/who plays Verity. And I do hope we get the specials on each doctor they are producing, and that afterparty.

Moffat: Axe Doctor Who at your peril
Steven Moffat has taken the BBC to task over its decision to take Doctor Who off the air back in 1989.
Moffat told the Radio Times: “Ah, 50 years. What can one say about 50 years of Doctor Who? Well, first of all, one can be pedantic. Doctor Who hasn’t been on for 50 years – owing to the outright stupidity and unforgiveable blindness of the BBC (sorry guys, it needs to be said), there was a 16-year gap.”
“While the BBC folded its arms and shook its head, there were books by the likes of Russell T Davies, Mark Gatiss and Paul Cornell. There were audio adventures, starring all the old Doctors. There was an action-packed American tele-film, and endless rumours of Hollywood movies. Doctor Who Magazine, whose purpose was to document the making of the TV show, carried on perfectly happily without the TV show being made.”
Bravo Moffat, bravo.

...I've never seen his work before but I can understand the comparisons... as you can see I do like to have lots of things happening in my images... it tends to make people look at them for perhaps a few minutes rather than just glance at them for a few seconds... (now you know my secret lol!)... I just feel that people remember them and think that they are perhaps a tad bit more special because they tend to look at them longer so that it embeds into their minds lol!... cheers.

...I've opened an account on 'Deviant Art' just a little while ago and am slowly sussing out the selling of artwork side of it before I jump in feet first and flounder around in there... eventually I will most probably sell some of my stuff but I am quite happy to give it to people for free right now... I just love sharing my work for others to enjoy at the moment...

...I've always been a bit of a harsh critic of Moffatt in the past but after seeing snippets of this weeks 50th show and after reading that I'm slowly warming up to the man... well said Steve!... especially when the BBC destroyed all of those Dr Who episodes in the big purge a while back... they were so ungrateful for that workhorse called 'Dr who' at the time... cheers.
