Hi MEDUSA! Early hours Sunday morning then again Sunday night.

Thanks people for not spoilering, I don't think I'll be clicking anything else now.

OMG

Anyone here have foxtel UKTV?

You are getting the 11 Doctor specials, in an enormous lump. Surely these must be going to be offered free to air too? Or not fair, youtube???

Starts 5.30am Saturday, but the idiots have an episode on same time as the simulcast!!!

2days
1 until I stop cooking for a long time, and I must get provisions ready to last until next Tuesday.
Can't wait until Saturday night:)

Oh no not me, I don't want to be spoiled, I want to be hit by amazing, fabulous, surprises:):):)and just revel in it all - a few times.

I haven't had a chance to even peek at all the latest goodies you posted Sticky. Any spare time I have I try to watch some of the glut of DW stuff on the ABC that will vanish, I didn't realise until just recently all the old series they are putting on iview, and crap some of them are about to expire. The McGann movie is there now, 54 days left to watch that at least.

News item

David and Matt will appear together on Graeme Norton, squeeeeee. 22/11/13, that is just before the big day.
Emma Thompson is the other guest, and she had better shut up - no I do like her but she can wank on a bit, shit they should have had a companion.

This thing is so big, so exciting, I'm not kidding when I say I almost expect a cameo from a royal, or anyone could pop in.

...that stuff on iview sounds great kxk... wow!... David and Matt on Norton's show sounds awesome eh?... they might get Harry on the Dr Who show because every time the Doctors get regenerated as of late they always complain about not having a 'ginger' in the Tardis... sounds like a great opportunity for a royal appearance to me lol!...

... already locked and loaded and ready to record lol!... and the good thing about it?... I can record two channels at a time so no overlapping for me lol!... but guess what?... I will be watching live at what is it?... 6:50 Sunday morning... but I won't be able to comment on here as it unfolds!... bummer!...

...not long left now ... can't wait!... cheers.

...I couldn't resist an oldie but a goodie from 1988... 'THE TIMELORDS / KLF - Doctorin' The Tardis ' featuring Ford Timelord (1968 Ford Galaxy) and "Daleks"... lol!... I love it!... cheers.

...being that I've done an onslaught of the latest news and clips of the impending Dr Who 50th episode for the last few days I thought that I'd throw in a few older ones for a bit of a laugh... being the clip above as well as this one too... (maybe some others)... for a bit of a change...

...I strongly advise you to watch the entire 20 minutes of this Dr Who spoof that was done by Comic Relief for 'Red Nose Day' in 2011... it's a hoot!...it has quite a few stars in it... Jonathan Pryce steals the show as the Master... why?... I'll explain later lol!... I love it!... it's absolutely fabulous!... cheers.

...this looks pretty interesting... it's called... 'The birth of the Dalek - The Culture Show: Me, You and Doctor Who'... it's about how the Dalek came to be designed... I sure hope that we get to see this in Australia... cheers.

...this interview is really great...'John Hurt and Jenna Coleman on The Day of the Doctor - The One Show'... there are no spoilers in this and I've discovered that John Hurt has quite a sense of humour... we get a mention about 'people in Australia are going to be watching it in their pajamas!'... lol!... I enjoyed watching this one... cheers.

...my final one for the night... towards the end of the interview in the clip above you see two old-fashioned Cybermen dancing... in this clip a bit later on in the show you see those hosts interviewing somebody else and the Cyberman on the left in the above clip faints behind them... amazing!... the poor bugger must have been too hot in the Cyberman outfit methinks!... cheers.

Oh no stickyfingers, social real life interruptions to the Doctor's 50th are banned in my home - or I will exterminate with dalek spray (actually a cool idea, I could wrap flyspray or maybe just water inside a big peppergrinder thingy, hmm)

2 more sleeps until the big dawn of WHO BIRTHDAY!
1 more sleep until good stuff starts.

And back to my old avatar to celebrate. Fools that resist DW are missing the sexiest thing on TV.

Favourite DW moments??? So many.

Mine for today, the Donna/Doctor mime scene in the windows, when she finally finds him again, sometimes I want to kiss donna I love her so much.
OMG I want to see Catherine Tate with the AbFab ladies:)

Before this thread, there was another DW thread here that was started by Steve, and mainly chatting was myself, Meglos, Lord Blackmule, Clean Sanchez, Burn and other regulars like Medusa and kxk. So glad you are still here Meglos, kxk and Medusa; it would be lovely to see the others turn up in this big DW week as we had such fun. But I've got to say that you current posters are just incredible. This thread is like Candy Land for DW fans. Having you all here with your wealth of knowledge, talent, memories and opinions makes me really feel a part of the 50th anniversary. Thankyou. And how incredibly lucky are we all that our favourite show lasts 50 years, and counting. Crazy.

kxk, yes I have my tickets - 10.30am Sunday. CAN'T WAIT. Will still watch the morning simulcast. Will be so much fun. I just watched The Name of the Doctor (well coordinated ABC2), so am totally ready.

What a ride it has been. My first DW episode was Robot with Tom Baker. Watched it with my dad and we were transfixed and have watched ever since. We still talk DW, and I have loved being able to share it with him for all these years. I guess it is a family tradition by now.

I've seen lots of the pre-Tom doctors, mostly John Pertwee. Caught up on William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton when ABC ran the whole remaining classic series from go to woe about ten years ago. I have read a lot of the old Target books too so I feel like I have watched heaps more of the first two doctors' episodes than I probably have.

Peter Davison was interviewed on Ch 10 this morning on that Ita Buttrose show. He seemed so happy to be celebrating the 50th anniversary after having been involved in the 20th (except for the ageing bit, but he still looks good). He is the only Doctor I had a crush on (I was at that age, and he was adorable afterall) but I love them all. I always say that my favourite Doctor is the current Doctor, they have all been good enough to win me over. (DW really has been the gift that keeps giving for DW actors - a gig for life)

So I will be very sad to see Matt Smith go. He has done an amazing job, better than CE and DT I think. But no doubt I will be here this time next year gushing about how great Peter Capaldi is.

Sorry for this long self-indulgent post, but it is a sentimental week for all of us fans, so am hoping you'll understand.

Bring on Sunday.

Oh and don't forget to check out Google today

Don't you love it, the Doctor is everywhere, all mixed up with Christmas - oh what a good idea, how can I make DW decorations?
Are you going to the movie screening tickytoc or any other fans?

LOL fishfingers and custard, erk.

Google made me giggle, it's awesome. What a great surprise when I got home tonight.
Oh crap still haven't got the food arranged, spent most of the day looking for teenager's pimple stuff.
Not long now.............

Oh and don't forget to check out Google today

...hahaha!... I love those links to the cookies and stuff tickytoc... so well done... I'm on a self-imposed Google blackout as far as wanting to find out anything else about the 50th show because I don't want to accidentally stumble upon any spoilers so close to to the shows screening...

...instead I'll put up some Dr Who stuff that I've done in this past year for a bit of fun in an act of pure self indulgence on my part for you... I can't remember if I've posted any of these before and I haven't got the time to go back in this thread to see if I have done so or not so here goes...

...first the 'Timelords Time Tunnel'...

...'Rose sees The Beatles'...

...Leonardos lost tardis manuscript...

...sorry about my self indulgence but I really am resisting the temptation of Googling more info on the 50th episode lol!... anyhow all... have a great time watching the 50th on Sunday morning... I won't be back on here until sometime Sunday afternoon when I get back from up the coast... have fun... and enjoy the whole Dr Who experience fellow Whovians... cheers.

Firstly, nutmeg - no apologising for indulging and utterly gorging yourself on doctor who weekend, it's so much fun.

OOO glad to hear you got tickets, you must have been quick, I only managed a Monday session, and I was constantly checking.
Hoyts has it on in the weirdest places.
And I adore Peter Davison too, he's a sweetheart & a wonderful and funny actor, so cute that circle he and DT have formed.

See you later stickyfingers, oh the Beatles one they should so do, and Leonardo is very cool.
Tonight it begins:)

And OMG, I just realised the TARDIS in 3D, that could feel like the next best thing to the ride of your life-time, :O

It is just one of a number of celebrations going on to mark the 50 year anniversary show, which airs on BBC One on Saturday night.
