Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

lol... you are a bit late to the party.
Welcome anyway!

Thank you. Very late. Google brought this up when I went searching for news about interviews today. There's next year. Which is hopefully as entertaining as this year.

Love how Jade is genuinely happy for Tim :)

He´s drunk. Definitely  And yeah he´s so diplomatic, something that I don´t like.
I don't know if he was drunk or just woke up hung over. I mean, he's a marble mouth at the best of times, so it wasn't that bad...for him.

I have no idea what this AFL training that everyone keeps referring to is all about, but one would think that at some point, Ed would get tired of taking shit about his non answers and just answer a bloody question. At the same time, do we really want him revealing intimate details of their relationship should their relationship ever crawl to that point? If he was, indeed, just using Jade in the house, then I think it's a credit to him that he didn't take physical advantage of her feelings while sharing her bed. I can tell you, having watched a man use a woman like that on BBUS, it's disgusting!

I'm not gonna lie, I was crying by this stage last night.

I know this may not go over well, but I have to say, of the 3 men Jade was close to in the house, I prefer her the most with Drew. Not romantically (though if Tully was nowhere around then, maybe) but I think Drew is the one who most appreciates Jade's affectionate and emotional nature and can naturally mimic it without needing it. I think with Ed, he is drawn to that, but it also scares the crap out of him, because he doesn't know how to be naturally affectionate and emotionally open. Jade ends up going overboard because she's trying to get a response out of him, which I think he both wants but fears at the same time. With Tim, to me (and I know many won't agree), I think he needs her too much. He needs her to center him, to fill an emotional neediness that I don't know if he realizes he has. The problem is, with Jade's giving nature, he seems to need more and more from her, to the point where I was uncomfortable a few times. I don't think it's a complete coincidence that Drew and Tim started out the time right after Ed's eviction working as a pair to reach out to Jade, but soon Tim separated Jade and himself from Drew and the others. He really wants Jade's undivided attention.

WTF where was that post about Ed telling Jade to go into his bed and that we weren't really shown this? Does anybody remember it? If you know where it is then plz link it!!!!

Oh gosh, you're so insightful. This is how I saw a lot of it too but I couldn't seem to express it. Particularly the part about Ed being unable to be emotionally responsive and Jade pushing him to get it. I know that's not Ed's fault, but it hasn't been good for Jade because her always being the "emotionally open" one gives the impression that she's in love where he's disinterested. I don't think it's simply a case of Ed not caring at all, but more an inability to express himself point blank. Does that make him a bad person? No. But does that mean that I think he's good for Jade? Absolutely not. She's such an affectionate person with such a big heart, she needs someone that has the ability to love her in the same way. It seems from today's twitter/instagram updates that they're still being like a couple, but I really don't think it will last beyond their BB commitments to be honest.

I don't know about a post, but in Tuesday night's reminiscing episode, they showed Ed asking Jade to sleep on his bed that first Friday night party. We never saw him ask her, that I remember, it was always said that she pursued him.

Man this is really insightful, I really wish other posters would use their brains like this.

Tim adores her, the way he was looking at her when they were both waiting for the announcement.
People can say what they like about Jade but a lot of the housemates had nothing bad to say about her, Heidi and Jaz are quite obviously jealous of the attention Jade received.
I don't actually believe Tully has it in for Jade, if Jade turned around and said 'Tully I'm secretly in love with you' she'd be as besotted as the boys.
