Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

It's actually a pretty common way of psyching yourself up not to get something.
For instance with Ed she tells herself it probably won't work outside, for BB she says she probably won't win.
That way if something does happen that's great but if it doesn't at least you have that bit of protection upon your vulnerability that you didn't expect it anyway.
'Prepare for the worst, hope for the best'..
I seriously don't know why people find it so surprising.

That's my family motto....Hope for the best, expect the worst. That way you are never disappointed and sometimes you are pleasantly surprised.

I seriously, seriously, seriously hope she wouldn't do something stupid like volunteer to leave if Ed is evicted over her. I mean, I don't think she would, but with Nathan's "example" and her own belief that she can't win, I can almost see her doing something so insane.

There's not a chance she would in my opinion.
She said that she wouldn't do anything like that anyway.
And, if by some insane reason she did, then I would be on top of the list wanting my money back lol.

I totally agree with everything you said Jane. It is pissing me off (and I don't use that term lightly) that we are getting everyone else's view of the relationship except Ed's and it has been to the detriment of Jade and her reputation. Surely people are waking up to fact that we never hear Ed's opinion. Boog went in there as a fan and has asked a lot of questions that the average viewer would want to know. She has obviously seen the one-sided relationship storyline but seen something different on the inside and has questioned Ed about it. So why aren't we seeing this? Instead they show her talking to Tim in the bedroom about it for the tenth time. We're meant to be watching a reality show but unfortunately it's become a highly edited one. I'm beginning to wonder if they're even going to let Ed speak about Jade on his eviction show.

You may have noticed that the straight face that Ed was pulling after Jade's Jaz comment was editied in there as well because the scene before and after had him and everyone else laughing.

I would have to think that if she had even considered it, had ever broached the subject to BB, they would be promoting the hell out of the possibility. "And for the 2nd time in BB history, a housemate MAY make THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE!"

But as I've said before, sometimes Jade zigs when I think she'll will zag. And that kitchen conversation is made all the odder by the fact that it didn't match the text, which seemed to be a different conversation entirely.

It's because they don't show the whole of the conversation, which sets up context.
Taking a little portion of something always makes it more inflammatory and open to interpretation, no matter who is talking.
 
I don't want to be nervous about this! I want to be able to sleep tonight without wondering what's happening in a house on the other side of the world from me. Damn you, Jade, for making me care what happens to you!!

I'm really interested to see how Drew does tonight. He hasn't been very popular of late due to the Tully thing and I think he could be easily forgotten in the Tim, Ed and Jade sagas. I was actually hoping he might go but from the looks of these odds it's unlikely.

Sorry to barge in, and not even be on topic, but I just wanted to comment about this.

I want drew to stay over ed. but I don't think he will get the votes. I say this because even though I prefer him and many do out there, I'm also indifferent about him like many. So I won't care to vote or help him stay. He lost the magic to him a long time ago, so while I'll like him one moment it just isn't the same.

This is exactly the way I feel about Drew now. I went from loving him at the start, to hating him with the Drully stuff, to pretty much forgetting he's there half the time.

I still think Jade will go, but I'm not sure why Drew's odds are as high as they are. The week Ben was the shock eviction over Ed, Drew was only 0.1% higher than Ed. I think having a few weeks off though will help him (and all the other boys) survive over Jade. I just hope people keep voting so it's not like she got annihilated.
