Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

Exactly right.Ed is a gutless prick for manipulating her emotions by using her as a body shield against Tim's attack.

Can you explain this more? What attack from Tim is Ed holding off with Jade's body? They are up for nomination and there's no more nominations after this.

I'm seriously trying to understand the logic and reasoning, I'm not just asking to be onery.

I don't know if Tim is manipulating Jade in this instance, but I don't think it's a coincidence that this has come up the day after he got Boog, Tahan and Ed all offside after his argument with Boog either. I do think Tim misses Jade and wants to make amends, but I'm doubtful he would have brought it up if he hadn't had an argument and subsequent cry last night.

I said in the LF thread that it's times like this I really wish Jade had someone like the Sisters or Ben still in the house to talk over this stuff with. She was obviously feeling bad after her talk with Tim but the only person she could really debrief about it with was Ed who of course went crazy with it.

I love how easily Tim manipulates all the live feed viewers.
Tim actively campaigned against the Sugar Sisters, Mikkayla and Jade and as soon as he tells Jade he cried and he misses her and them, the LF posters are all....she better pick him over Ed. Tim is completely trying to manipulate Jade, acting like he cares about her and blaming her for the distance between them. It's not the fact that he's been talking shit about her, it's not that he thinks she's boring, stupid, bland and all the other shit he's said about her while hanging out with his "fun" group. Nope, it's all because she spends time with Ed. And because the live feed group blames Ed for everything, they are furious that Jade didn't just accept Tim's sudden about face and dump Ed.

Tim has deliberately and repeatedly tried to get to Ed through Jade. Every time I think about how he planned with Justynne to get to Ed by calling Jade stupid, I just shudder. That was such a vile, personal attack on Jade that I will never be able to see Tim's friendship as a good thing for Jade.

The adoration and glorification of Tim in that thread is beyond belief...it could be just incorporated into the Tim Appreciation thread! Tim is, and rightly should be concerned that these 2 HM's are a threat to him winning. He will stoop lower than any of them and then deny it or convince himself it was done with all good intentions. It's becoming pathetic to watch.

This is when I don't like Tim. Why is he making Jade choose between him and Ed? He is making the friendship conditional, it is so not fair to her. This emotional black mail crap is just down right cruel. He has done this when he forced her to go in the PS with him and now this.

He had this game in the bag, he is over thinking everything so much that he is going to loss it because of it. So similar to what happened to Michael last year. I didn't mind him winning it until he started toying with Estelle's emotions too.

I guess I didn't see that he was trying to make her choose, I thought he was just wanting her not to spend ALL her time with Ed. Do you think that he was genuine at all, or do you feel it was all to get at Ed? Because that's why I was so mad at Ed , because I thought he was making it all about him instead of believing that Tim could genuinely miss Jade's company. Either way, Jade can't win in the eyes of people right now, she' s caught in the middle and that makes it her fault to a lotof people who already use any reason to have a go...

You know what ,despite all this conniving, ruthless game playing around Jade, she maintains her integrity and true self. That is why she deserves to be in the final .

I agree and its one thing I love about her. I sure as hell would have gone all Carrie at prom on them lol

I haven't see any indication that Tim misses Jade herself. He certainly hasn't spoken about her or acted in any way which would indicate he values her as an individual or a friend. I do think he would love to have her unconditional loyalty the way Ed has it, but he lost it because of his own actions, not because of anything Ed did.

If Tim was really interested in reconnecting with Jade, he could have easily taken this time to do that. Instead, he started by blaming her (and Ed) for the separation, then dumped a load of guilt on her, knowing that Jade's kind heart would hurt for him. I have to agree with Ed that it was emotional manipulation from the start and, because of who Jade is, it partly worked.

I do agree with you that Jade needs someone besides Ed to talk about these things, because Ed doesn't do emotions. Jade needed a hug and a shoulder to cry on, and Ed gave her anger and frustration. The sisters would have been a great source of comfort and even Madaline could have helped, but I think Mikkayla would have lost it even worse than Ed!

I have a bad feeling Jade may go this week, last week I would see quite a bit of 'Save Jade' on twitter/facebook but this week is really quiet, lots of Save Tim, Drew and even Ed has more support than expected. Either Jade fans have run out of money or the supporters are just assuming shes safe due to the 52% last week. I really hope she stays, especially over Ed and Drew. I grew back to liking Drew but kinda going off him again lately, a little bit spiteful it seems.

I don't think it was genuine because if he really missed her, he could have spent this task time with her enjoying her company. He easily could have had a good time and then, at the end, said, Hey, Jade, I really miss spending time with you. I'm sorry about our distance. Can we set some time to spend together?

Also, while Jade may be spending time with Ed, Tim hasn't been alone. It was too easy for him to blame her and Ed for the separation, but we see Tim constantly with his little group, talking horribly about Jade. The fact that Tim went so quickly into blame mode, and particularly targeted Ed (when she spent a lot of time before this with Mikkayla and Madaline) seemed way too manipulative to be honest.

im not having a go at jade but i just realised something. She got annoyed when tim and drew nominated her and said something along the lines of that she would never nominate a friend. She had in the passed nominated ben and swapped him into the firing line for eviction. Does this mean that he wasnt a friend of hers all along?

I do believe Tim really misses her. Tim loves to have fun and do stupid crazy things, but I think he has realized that now has no one in the house as a real and sentimental "support" I honestly see frankness in the conversation , but at the same time I see that Jade is right about his lack of confidence with Tim.

I agree.

Sound slike I need to catch up on live feeds.

She was friendly with Ben, they weren't that close though

This is how I saw it.
I think, regardless of motives of Ed and Tim, my support is where it always is, with Jade .

She liked Ben but Ben was never in her group of people who wont nominate. He was not in on the alliance and back when she swapped him she hardly knew him at all. With the nom when he went home she did it because she thought he would be safe and that it would make the chances of Tahan going home higher. (who she also nomed that week). She was not the only one to do that, Drew was thinking the same thing that same week when he nomed Ben, and Drew WAS friends with him.

oh okay :) but drew never said he wouldnt nom friends

And I agree, I think he does miss her. And even Mik and the SS. I think he made the choice to play the game in a different way, which meant turning away from the people he had grown to care about. I am far from ok with it though, its been hard for me to keep liking Tim to be honest and although I want him to win (if Jade cant of course) Its mainly because he has kinda made the year, not because of who he is which was how I felt a few weeks ago.

And I hate that they keep targeting Jade because they see her as a weakness of Ed's. I think they are pretty surprised she is hanging in there, both in lines of evictions and in her emotional stability. People dont get her the credit she deserves, she is a lot stronger they they think.
