They are questioning whether she just likes him for his looks, Drew was implying the she could just be shallow. Have they ever consider other characteristics of Ed that might attract Jade over Drew. Maturity level for example, light years a part. They say that Ed is boring because he doesn't do all this childish stuff that they do. Ed just acts a lot more mature than they do and maybe Jade prefer that. Stability is another thing that I think Jade value as well, Tim 29 but still studying and Drew 24 still studying while Ed few year older than Drew already had an AFL career and got a degree while doing it and has a STABLE job.

They might be fun to hang out with but maybe she needs more than that in a partner.

I'm defending Jade here not Ed. NOTE: I still don't like Ed :)
 
Jade still thinks that Drew is a good guy.
Just love how loyal and loving she is despite actually knowing now how horrible he has been behind her back.

I agree.The show is coming to the pointy end now,so it's knives been thrown back and front ,because the prize $250 000 is within reach.Any bit of dirt they can dig up is flung with intention to discredit their opponents(Jade and Ed).
While I think alot of Drew's verbal attack of Jade do stem from jealousy and bitterness, I don't think he will sidle up to her when Ed goes.Firstly,he'll be aware that Tully will be watching ,and secondly his codependency has already been met with the companionship with Boog and Tim.
The show is going to be very interesting if Ed leaves this week.Will Ed confess his affection for Jade as a parting shot to the others or not?How will the remaining HMs treat Jade?
You know what ,despite all this conniving,ruthless game playing around Jade, she maintains her integrity and true self.That is why she deserves to be in the final .
 
Boog's strident, irritating voice annoys me and I don't even have to live with it . She's so loud all I can hear is her in the videos .

Tim actively campaigned against the Sugar Sisters, Mikkayla and Jade and as soon as he tells Jade he cried and he misses her and them, the LF posters are all....she better pick him over Ed. Tim is completely trying to manipulate Jade, acting like he cares about her and blaming her for the distance between them. It's not the fact that he's been talking shit about her, it's not that he thinks she's boring, stupid, bland and all the other shit he's said about her while hanging out with his "fun" group. Nope, it's all because she spends time with Ed. And because the live feed group blames Ed for everything, they are furious that Jade didn't just accept Tim's sudden about face and dump Ed.

Tim has deliberately and repeatedly tried to get to Ed through Jade. Every time I think about how he planned with Justynne to get to Ed by calling Jade stupid, I just shudder. That was such a vile, personal attack on Jade that I will never be able to see Tim's friendship as a good thing for Jade.

I see what you're saying, but I think Ed is also using Jade to get at Tim, and to me this is worse because Jade trusts him with her heart. That's why I'm so upset, because I can see that Jade is going to bear the brunt. I hurt for her.

I think Ed wants Jade on his side against Tim but I can't think of a time that he used Jade to dig at Tim. Of course, just the fact that he "has" Jade I guess could be considered a dig.

And I can't post in the LF. Those people scare me.

I think there is much less deliberate action of Ed using Jade against Tim. I think Ed is using Jade for comfort and as an ally, but I don't think he tries to manipulate Jade emotionally. He could have easily told Jade, I can't get close to you as long as you're friends with Tim because I don't trust him. He did draw her closer to him, but if Tim hadn't decided she was a "bore" and had nothing to offer, Jade would have continued to be friends with Tim. Now she doesn't trust Tim because of what he did to Mikkayla, his calling his group the "fun" group, and his stupid bug nomination of her (and remember he coldly told her he wanted her to go, just like he wanted everyone to go) so why should she believe this is anything but a manipulation, which it is.

Edited to add: I think Ed is an arrogant prick who can't feel an emotion unless it kicks a football at his head so he therefore isn't able to manipulate Jade emotionally against others. He had no luck getting her to turn against Tim and Drew until they both shut her out of their friendship. I still can hear Ed questioning Jade's hope that she and Drew would get closer after Tully's eviction. I think he instinctively began to pull her closer to him after that, but I don't know that it was a conscious decision. In some ways you could think Jade was manipulating him to draw him in closer to her with that talk, letting him know she might move away from him if he didn't give her more. It's right after that that he moved into her bed permanently, which she had already told the girls she wanted.

Exactly right.Ed is a gutless prick for manipulating her emotions by using her as a body shield against Tim's attack.
