Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

Drew doesn't seem flighty to me. He's just extremely suggestible and codependent. If she needs stability, a chemical engineer in the booming power industry would be a safe bet.

His parents like her and even vote for her! Bet they're frothing about Tully.

**still a Drade tragic**

She said that before she really knew him, I think based in conversations in that first week. I still think they would have gravitated towards each other if he didn't have Tully attached, and would have shared affection and comfort if nothing else.

Oh hang on, I'm watching the repeat and Jade's talking about how Ed has told her so many times that he's not interested and doesn't want a relationship etc So she hears it, she knows and understands but keeps at him despite that. Much as I honestly like Jade, she needs to quit it.

Yes its starting to get very creepy. I'm embarressed for her. I like the way this is progressing.

Wow, Jade's dad is so handsome and talented!

Love that Drew's parents like Jade and vote for Jade.

i like Jade, but am a bit frustrated by how DELUDED she is when it comes to Ed... and she _knows_ that he doesnt want a relationship with her, she's said it many times, yet still keeps pursuing. Head in the clouds, and things usually eventually come crashing down from that height.

When Drew put up Matt and Ed and Matt were in the kitchen. I can't remember what Matt said but Ed answered with something along the lines - not me she loves Drew. A tad annoyed with her maybe...............
Jade had said in another convo that she likes Drew as a friend, but, as he reminded her too much of her ex, she didn't want to go there.
It is about time the show stopped focusing on her negatives and paid a little attention to her positives.

I agree, so obviously Ed is quite aware of this, probably more so than Drew because from Drew's perspective it's just like Jade is chasing Ed all the time. That's why back when Jade revealed that she didn't want to go there with Drew cause he reminded her of her ex, who was the one who contributed to her insecurities, I really wanted the people who overheard this to tell Drew because he's obviously a little bit bitter still as we could tell from his comment when he nominated Jade the other week. He's not aware that it was more complicated than that and that Jade likes the idea of Ed but the idea of her & Drew worried her.

I was surprised that Jade suggested to Drew that he can come sleep in her bed now, I thought that surely she wouldn't want Ed to misunderstand - which was something that she was scared of with Tim, when he chose her to go to the PS with her. But clearly when it comes to Drew all that matters to her is having Drew there with her. & Ed confirmed that Jade's loyalty is still with Drew.

If Tully went, thus setting free Drew, would Jade really gravitate toward Drew? If not, then surely she needs some rewiring done in her pretty head 😵‍💫

That was a confusing scenario - with Drew. Come on Chicken....................
Looks like Ed is marking his territory - back in bed with Jade. He maybe thinking that if Tully goes, that Drew will aim for Jades affection, and he will with the help of Tim, to upset Ed.

Yeah, it was funny. Which is why I'm 110% sure Jade and Drew has talked about him sleeping in her bed before she had gone into the toilet. The fact the he was waiting there for her and said "yep" more or less confirms that. They only showed the last part though of Drew hopping in his normal bed with Tully and Jade watching on because they want to push the whole love triangle thing. I have no doubt in my mind that Jade only offered as a friend. Which is why it wouldn't have stressed her out with Ed.

She still obviously has a lot of loyalty to Drew and even Tully. When Tim and Ed were sitting there bitching about Drully during the carwash task Jade defended them telling Tim and Ed that they were playing the game with their hearts instead of their heads. Surprisingly she's one of the only ones who is willing to accept Drew and Tully's relationship. I think she misses her friendship Drew (hence nominating Tully), but I still don't think she has any interest romantically.

That's the other question... would Drew really open himself up for Jade - or would he drift toward a more familiar, safer environment i.e. Tim?

Yeah, she certainly seems more understanding of it but it's sort of become a 'given' now. There's no Tully without Drew or Drew without Tully- they come as a package and everyone's grown accustomed to it. I'm not sure if she has an interest romantically either, so it's not a definite yes/no situation but her loyalty to Drew over Ed has always surprised me. They also had way more chemistry, she kind of doesn't let loose with Ed. I don't know if it's a case of say one thing but mean something else with her? She keeps saying that she likes the idea of Ed, that he's the stability he needs in her life etc. but does that just mean she likes what he represents? I can't see that same chemistry between them.

Not sure where it's all going to go now but I think those intruders will definitely shake things up :D

I think he would but it also depends on whether Ed is in the picture. That is why Ed has to go asap!

I think this is a very interesting question. Drew knows what Tim's game plan is. Tim doesn't want to go to the final with Drew. He sees him as too much competition. When Drew can sense that Tim is trying to "remove" him it will be interesting to see if he stays close to him or backs off completely.

Oh yeah, definitely! Not sure how it would all play out if both Tully and Ed left but the picture would certainly change
U r right kitty1tully then Ed must go.I'm so peeved off that she has lost support over this Ed fiasco.Honestly who amongst us haven't made a mistake bcos emotions clouded our judgement. To err is human to forgive is divine.

She does have more chemistry with Drew bcos he's like her ex so familiar territory. She has experienced financial hardship when she was young(16yrs old)working 2jobs so to give money to her single parent mum.So I think Ed represents the stability she never had in her life.Sad but true.

Yeah but I think emotional stability matters to her more cause her ex hurt her so much, Drew and Tim seem a bit more unpredictable to her in terms of their personalities, and she's said that what she likes about Ed is that he's the kind of guy who's ready to settle down and wants to start a family. She said Ed is completely different from the guys she's dated, who were more like Drew and Tim so I think she's expecting him to be more straightforward and committed.

Friday's episode made her STINK of DESPERATION. It's very unattractive, why can't she just get over him or put it on hold until they're both out.
