Let's pick it to bits,
All too dark - brighter background and clothes would have helped.

He's made her face round and it's not, he's made her cheeck bones drop- they are way too low.
Fucked up the neck - look at that mess, smudged fat looking. She has a graceful lovely neck. The smudge ads to the aging.
He hasn't a clue how do do her nose - totally bungled nose here looks like paddle pop lion.
And I think the hair is shit too, captured none of the shine.

In short he's made her look old and tired and botoxed. He made a lot of shitty mistakes and choices.
She should look young and vibrant. And I think her first official portrait should have been full length to capture her youthfullness better, whilst she is young and slender.
And it should have been romantic in alight lovely gown, light colours flatter the face.

I totally agree, kxk. She is a beautiful young woman with a vibrant face. He's made her look 10 years older, harder and with a mean mouth. The painting looks like her stunt double.
 
There aren't too many portraits of royalty I do like. They usually show them much less attractive than they really are.

Blimey, Grace isn't around to see whatall round failures her kids turned out to be. Circus freak youngest, tragic eldest with her 3 husbands, 2 awful one dead.
And that lump of a son..............the wife doesn't need to breed he's got a half dozen hasn't? Maybe just 2 or 3?
