Not reading the spoilers, so am sorry not to join in - but how sad about Romana's husband, I had no idea.

I guess they'll all be dropping off one by one from now on - sad for us old timers.

Romana 1 was all class.

What do you mean?

It's awesome ABC are giving us DW real fast, less than a week after UK freaking AWESOME.
(Remember UK is behind time wise, they get it our Sept 2, so we are getting it 6 days later - and we used to wait for MONTHS)

And they are going to do repeats on Tuesday nights.

Yeah I have no complaints about being less than a week behind, it takes away my need to find an alternative source.
Way back in the final years of the original series they were often more than a YEAR behind.

Yeah and until only recently we had to usually wait for the xmas special tacked onto the new series, ABC are being very lovely now, xxxxx ABC, loving repeats each night and all round they get the impatience much better now:)
Doc Who used to be the reason I got good net services - and it's awesome just using tellie

ABC have just announced that the first episode of the new series will go up on iView this Sunday morning, as soon as it's gone to air in the UK. That's... interesting? I suppose it's to try and grab people who would otherwise be planning to download it. Cool idea.

LOL

Far out that is so funny, it's exactly when you used to find all DW fans.....Sunday a.m using OTHER METHODS
I love you ABC.

Who will be watching it on iview? I've just checked it out & I think I'll be doing it, it's good quality & with no lag. So should we talk about in here after Sunday without spoiler tags, or wait another week to give TV people a chance to catch up?

I will be watching on iView for sure :)

Tonight is the night! Well, tomorrow morning by the time it gets online, & for people who sleep.

Wynter... There are 5 mini episodes (available on youtube), the 5th was posted today. They go for about one minute each & they are a prelude to the new series which starts in the UK today.

The first episode (Daleks!) will be online in Australia after about 5am tonight. Presumably you'll be able to watch it at your convenience for about a week.

Thanks. They'll be watching it tomorrow, I'm sure. I will too..lol. They started watching over the past year or so and have now managed to see all of the episodes from the most recent series (since 2005) and were totally gobsmacked to find out their teacher was a closet Whovian. He gave himself away because he kept laughing at their Doctor references. Now they have half of the kids in their class watching the repeats on ABC every week. It's become the new water cooler conversation for their class....and now I keep getting emails sent to me with links to things like this...

I think that's fantastic, that it's reaching a new generation, because I've liked it since I was that age myself.
