LOVE the period costumes, Jenna-Louise looks fantastic and it really suits Matt too.

Very exciting.
 
New companion looks so cute...........I love Rigg, she's such an awesome actress, such an amazing voice and her Emma in the Avengers is classic, so smart& sexy.
Apparently her daughter is in this Doc Who too with her.

I love watching her in those old episodes, in the suit with the white stripes down her side - she must be one of the first ever cool, cool, feisty women on TV.
And - she starred in the only Bond movie where Bond gets married - to her of course, then she karks it, that was the Bond with the Aussie guy. So she's uber cool as the only ever Mrs Bond.

Interesting..This Madam Vastra character (at least I think it was this character..yes?) was in the Devils Run episodes and I could never work out who she was, I assumed I'd missed an episode somewhere but I wonder if we are going to find out next season...even though she appeared last season..

This is news to me! It's also the other part of a puzzle, because it was announced that Jenny will be returning (Jenny being Madame Vastra's human companion), but no mention of Madame Vastra before now.

As for her back-story - no you didn't miss anything, she & Jenny appeared as old friends of the Doctor whose adventures we hadn't seen yet. She's clearly a Silurian/Earth Reptile though.
 
Yes - don't just ignore the Doc's daughter is floating around out there somewhere, she could even have her own show :)
 
Well who is the other Jenny? I know Jenny as in Generated Anomaly Jenny (his daughter on the show, wife in real life)..but who is the other one. I know the character because she was in Devils Run but I don't know where she came from originally...or haven't we seen that yet, like Madam Vastra?.

I watched the Demons Run episode before I'd seen some of the others so there were a few characters that I couldn't work out at the time. Most I've worked out..like Dorian and Danny Boy but I never knew who she was...I still haven't been able to figure out the Sontaran nurse who was being punished either..maybe that is another story that is coming too.
