Frocks, Frolics and Fotos

I've been wondering if we may have a generation of cripples coming along soon - with all the torture shoes around, there must be stacks of them falling off those things.
And you see them staggering around looking like newborn giraffes trying to find their sea legs, or a lot like toddlers actually, anyway - so not a sexy walk the stagger, stumble, grab hold of anything and fall on my face.

Kxk each generation has their own special type of crippling shoes lol.

even the men have bought into it in the past.

Speaking of crippling shoes.

Lady Gaga arrives at Narita Airport wearing Chanel on top.

These shoes were manufactured here in Australia (back when we had a manufacturing industry) by the Paragon Shoe company. Proudly worn by aussie ladies circa 1970.

The Paragon Shoe Collection comprises 88 objects, largely shoes, as well as advertising and point-of-sale material. The collection dates from circa 1916 to circa 1993. It was donated by Diana Gaze; additional shoes have been donated by Linda Bennett.

Paragon Shoes Pty Ltd was one of the most significant 20th century Australian shoe retailers, and at one time was the largest manufacturer of high quality of women's shoes in Australia. Its factory was located in Melbourne, and its shoes were sold throughout Australia and New Zealand. A London agent was used at one stage, and the shoes possibly sold in Europe (based on the information supplied with the shoes).

LOL...the memories!
My first boyfriend thought I was really tall because I had platforms on with long pants when we met.
He got a shock when he met me in a skirt.

I even had platform thongs...now they are hard to walk in!

Emma, why did you let her wear pantyhose with seamed toes actually why did you let her wear panyhose at all, apart from that she looks lovely.

you can get stockings for open toe shoes now, that have two holes at the end, one for big toe and one for the rest, and they sit right at the base of your toes but leave them bare, I love mine. You'd think their stylist would know that, if I do lol?

I haven't worn a pair of stocking since the last time I wore nursing culottes to work which was in about 1998. I think thick tights are in though , my daughter has a load of 50 & 70 Denier tights she wears with skirts and dresses but she doesn't wear normal stocking. Back in the day when I was going to Discos I wore stocking but these days when they go to clubs they spray tan lol.

I haven't worn stockings since I worked at Kmart circa 1996 but I've seen them with the toes out for sale in Target.
