Interesting Documentaries

Time Team is my FAVOURITE show! And since reading Eliza's post I think I might start stalking Tony Robinson.....

lol, I so understand that. I have been having fun watching him change. His hair is darker, or he has an earing or grows a goaty. I would love to have Tony and the welsh guy at my dinner table, I bet it would be one hell of a good night.

I love Grand Designs....... like that round house a week or two ago. It didn't look like much as they were building it being all grey and concrete. but when it was done, and they'd moved in it looked great.

Yeah, I've watched the very first episode and it took me a second to realise it was Tony, he had long hair and glasses and looked like an old school teacher of mine.

oo I've seen that guy. I didn't know that was his name though..and he looks older now. The kids have been watching a series called Blitz Street and he's on that. They built a WW11 street and have been blowing it up with german bombs from the Blitz to see what damage each bomb does. Last episode is on this week sometime, I think. It's quite interesting. Funny though, they put a bottle of milk by the door of one of the houses and after 3 or 4 bombs, everything is pretty much destroyed but the bottle of milk is still standing there untouched. It's really odd.

Tony did a show back in the day which was narrating a kids book (I think) - hmmm back in a tic I need to ask Mr Google before I shoot my mouth off.

Back! It was called 'Tales from Fat Tulips Garden' and he was two frogs. Brilliant stuff.

I also loved him in Diary of a Teenage Health Freak and Maid Marian and her Merry Men :)

Great doco on ABC2 last night about Glastonbury. I taped the September Issue on ABC1.

Saw a semi interesting one on SBS Saturday arvo called 'How to Make a Book with Steidl' about some super fancy pants publisher in France.

I watched a doco last night taped the other week off SBS "Whose afraid of the big black hole" about black holes in our galaxy and how they might affect the movement of the galaxies

Glastonbury was awesome and I saw the September Issue a while back and really enjoyed it.

Glastonbury made me want to go but glad I don't have to try all at the same time :)

So many questions: where do you park, if no car how do you get there, how do you find your tent, how do you wee for 3 days, do people steal everything?

And I must say the guy that runs it has committment to a beard :)

Just watched this one about the Berlin Wall and the stories of the people whose lives were entwined with it - the concrete workers, the artists who painted on it, the people who buy and sell parts of it, the demolitionists and the fetishist woman who "married" it.

lol. thanks pecan. When I first saw that shot I thought it was the guy from the Kylie Mole/Uncle Arthur series. He is now in the Heritage Bank ads (if you get them?)

I love watching Deadly Women on CI. Especially if Mr Tay is in the room. He realises life could be worse ;) :p

What's CI? and just how many deadly women are out there?

CI is the Crime and Investigation channel on Foxtel/Austar.

Re the deadly women, I am guessing not as many as there are men considering the Men's Prisons are always 10 times bigger than Women's Prisons. :D

I thought there was something in this thread about the Louis Theroux docos on Westboro? Oh well, I'll post it here anyway, has anyone seen them? I've heard people comment elsewhere that they're just lawyers on a money-making scheme, that they're not for real, but seeing those docos, they seemed genuinely cuckoo.
