Interesting Documentaries

Author: The JT Leroy Story.

A really interesting doco about a recent literary hoax that exposes celebrity hipster culture and how mindlessly celebs will jump on a bandwagon and exploit other people to get themselves some publicity and street cred. The irony is that the actual author would never have gotten this level of acclaim if she had published the books as herself. Her backstory was just not ''edgy'' enough. But at the same time she scammed all these people in some pretty thoughtless and sometimes disturbing ways herself. Or did she? .... :wacky: It's a good one!

Graceful Girls. Inside the weird world of competitive calisthenics. I thought calisthenics was just an exercise class but apparently it's an entire subculture that mum's pass on to their daughters and share together. It's a bit cheesy and dated but the girls are very talented and passionate. Even the older ladies have still got it. One mum who appears to be in her 50's effortlessly does the splits in her tracky dacks. :wideyed:
