Nova 106.9 Brisbane has pulled presenter Camilla Severi from its breakfast programme effective immediately.

Severi was set to return to the airwaves alongside Ash Bradnam, David "Luttsy" Lutteral and Kip Wightman yesterday - the second day of survey one and the official 2012 ratings calendar - but she didn't show.

Nova was forced to release a statement this morning, when Severi wasn't on air again today.

"Nova 106.9 and Camilla Severi have made the mutual decision to move her out of the breakfast show," the statement read, according to The Courier Mail.

"We would sincerely like to thank Camilla for her hard work and dedication in the breakfast show and an announcement will be made in the coming weeks about her next role on the network."

Severi jumped from rival B105 in August last year, where she presented the breakfast shift alongside Jason "Labby" Hawkins and Stewart "Stav" Davidson.

Nova isn't excepted to appoint a replacement, with its website already promoting Ash, Kip and Luttsy.

Severi will remain with the station, but in a role yet-to-be determined.

What the hell is with all these lame nicknames? Something we don't really have here in Canada I guess.

I know they just sound so lame ass.

I wonder what she did to get booted?

Probably just being herself. It could be that the station didn't feel she fit with the shows dynamics. The article says she is still with the station although they were unsure were she would be moved to. If that's the case then it couldn't have been anything major.

Camilla Severi takes to Facebook to blame listener backlash for her axing from Nova

DUMPED Nova host Camilla Severi has blamed a listener backlash for her axing as she faces the likely end of her primetime radio career.

Severi said she was told she wasn't succeeding in the tough breakfast slot after defecting from rival B105.

"There was just too much negativity around me to do well this year. Not that I mind too much what people think - but sadly that's how ratings are formed," she said on Facebook.

Alluding to the fierce backlash from Nova fans, she thanked her supporters and vowed to be back.

"Wow. And I was told there was more hate than love for me," she posted.

Severis axing from the on-air team was so abrupt, a Nova spokeswoman confirmed she starred in promotional breakfast team photographs that were taken just last week.

But Severi's options for a return to primetime seem limited in Brisbane. Austereo general manager Richard Barker quashed any suggestions of a comeback at B105, telling mX the station wasn't interested.

"We've moved on - we have a great female replacement in Abby Coleman at B105 and to be honest there's been no talk of her around the office," he said.

"When someone makes a decision like Camilla did, we wouldn't entertain the idea of having her back."

Severi abruptly left the station in August last year to take up the short-lived breakfast position with Nova.

Barker said Nova's decision to retain an all-male line up of Ash, Kip and Luttsy was "risky".

"An all-male team is a risky path to take and certainly something we've never tried," Barker said. "We know you need a balance - will listeners switch over?"

But a Nova spokeswoman this morning told mX the line up would remain.

"We believe in the boys and their success and this will remain as it is for some time now," she said.

Veteran radio host Ian Skippen wrote to Severi this morning on Facebook, saying: "Everything happens for a reason... there's something bigger, brighter and better around the corner."

The photo is airbrushed to all hell.

Sounds like she burned her bridges at B105. They could hold her back at other places too, not just that one station depending on who has influence over who.

What did she actually do though? was it something she said or did?
