Where Are They Now?

I LOVED Jonny, he and Zac are my favourite gay contestants.

I allways thought it was ironic he was labelled jonny rotten - for hugging eliminated people, so for being nice to people he's labelled rotten.

It was the nominating them and then hugging them thing... he was being portrayed as being two faced. However, being in the BB house means -- at least eventually -- nominating people you like or get along with, it's not like you have a choice. Was he being fake? Or just nice/polite? It must have been awful not knowing what the show was like having never seen it before, to come out of the house to that reaction.

I read it. It wasn't the best I'd read on that religion re its background I think he had ever questioned why they did things the way they did therefore couldn't explain it in his book. Being outside was a terrifying time for him.

Chrissie Swan in the Mix after radio shake-up

GOLD Logie nominee Chrissie Swan is swapping TV for radio, having landed the role as host of Mix FM's breakfast show.

Swan will take over from Brigitte Duclos and Anthony Lehmann, starting on air on February 6, with her co-host still to be announced.

In a major shake-up for the ARN-owned stations, Duclos and Lehmann will shift into the Gold FM breakfast shift, replacing Peter "Grubby" Stubbs and Diane "Dee Dee" Dunleavy.

Swan now hosts Mix's 3pm Pick Up show.

Duclos and Lehmann will stay true to Gold's on-air promise of good times and great classic hits.

Australian Radio Network national content director Duncan Campbell said: "These are obviously major changes for ARN. I've made no secret of the fact that we are determined to be more competitive in Melbourne next year and we need breakfast to work on both stations for that to happen.

"Breakfast is the most important day-part for any radio station, and we have decided to launch with our strongest breakfast proposition yet. It's an exciting time for ARN as we move into 2012; we believe the new appointments will offer a fresh level of creativity and energy to breakfast as we face a very challenging year ahead.''

In the final radio ratings survey for the year, released this week, Gold breakfast rated 5.3 compared with 4.7 for Mix.

Duclos said she and Lehmann were aware of the challenge of stepping into the Gold role held for the past 12 years by Stubbs and Dunleavy.

"They are very big shoes to fill but we are super excited to be bringing our lives to Gold 104.3,'' said Duclos.

"I'm looking forward to again waking up Melbourne with Lehmo - but this time on Gold whilst listening to most of my favourite songs.''

Duclos and Lehmann will start on air with Gold on January 16.

"Lehmo" used to be an Adelaide radio personality, I didn't like him much.

I'd listen to Chrissie though.

I used to love listening to the Chrissie Dave and Dicko podcasts.
Chrissie has such a warmth on radio.

One thing's for sure, The Circle will go down hill now.

Saw last week on Ten News I think it was, Ben from BB03 is now a lawyer. He spoke to a reporter in regard to a case that he has a client in.

God I love listening to her voice. You're right. Her voice is very soothing.

Well doesn't he look adorable still. It's always nice to see what housemates are doing once they finish their 'stint' (which is really what it has become now) in the house. But David was always one of my favorites. This was refreshing to see. :)

Good luck to his client, then.

Big Brother's Farmer Dave is getting married!

Former Big Brother housemate David Graham has a busy year ahead, as he'll be filming a documentary for the ABC about dingoes and planning his wedding at the same time!

David says he and fiance Michael Cauchi will be getting married in October, "definitely in Australia".

He's hoping same-sex marriage laws will have been passed by Federal Parliament by then so that he and Michael can tie the knot "like every other monogamous, devoted couple in this country". If not, he says they'll settle for a same-sex civil union, which his home state of Queensland recently legislated for.

Either way, the wedding plans are well underway.

"It's the highlight of your life, pretty much, so we've been putting a fair bit of thought into it," David tells TV WEEK.

David and Michael were originally friends, but that changed after David had an accident while training search and rescue dogs. He spent three months in a wheelchair and Michael cared for him.

"That's when I realised this was definitely the bloke I was going to spend the rest of my life with," David reveals.

A farmer when he went on Big Brother in 2006, David still has his sheep, but has been concentrating more on working with dogs recently — an interest that led to him being asked to host the ABC doco about the dingo's place in the Aussie environment. He's already six months into filming, with another six to go.

"It's really opened up my mind," he enthuses. "It's awesome."

Congrats to Dave. Would love to see the Federal law passed by the time they get hitched too. Somehow, I won't be holding my breath. Jules really shows FA interest in making it happen.

Fitzy's boy is absolutely adorable. :)

What exactly do you expect her to do?

1. She's a bloody politician and therefore only interested in herself and keeping her office and votes. If she passed that law it would be political suicide because of the right wing voters and religious nutjobs ..... Both of those groups are in the same category.. IMHO

2. See #1

No? Really?
Do you think that might be why I stated that I wouldn't be holding my breath?

Well it aint up to her anyway. It's up to Abbott allowing a conscience vote, and that is not gonna happen so it's a dead duck. Next.

Well people like Abbott with the closed shop mentality are also part of the problem in progressive society.

Do you guys have the concept of party solidarity? That's honestly the ONLY way our law was getting passed here. But I guess that only works if the leader of the party gives a shit otherwise I think the gays are SOL.

A gay marriage law is never going to pass democratically in Australia.

Nova Brisbane pulls Camilla Severi from breakfast

Nova 106.9 Brisbane has pulled presenter Camilla Severi from its breakfast programme effective immediately.

Severi was set to return to the airwaves alongside Ash Bradnam, David "Luttsy" Lutteral and Kip Wightman yesterday - the second day of survey one and the official 2012 ratings calendar - but she didn't show.

Nova was forced to release a statement this morning, when Severi wasn't on air again today.

"Nova 106.9 and Camilla Severi have made the mutual decision to move her out of the breakfast show," the statement read, according to The Courier Mail.

"We would sincerely like to thank Camilla for her hard work and dedication in the breakfast show and an announcement will be made in the coming weeks about her next role on the network."

Severi jumped from rival B105 in August last year, where she presented the breakfast shift alongside Jason "Labby" Hawkins and Stewart "Stav" Davidson.

Nova isn't excepted to appoint a replacement, with its website already promoting Ash, Kip and Luttsy.

Severi will remain with the station, but in a role yet-to-be determined.
