What's the Twist?

Noooo. Having all housemates in with a friend or family member would be the worst idea ever. It could be entertaining for the first few weeks with the twist but that is not an idea I am keen on for a whole series.

well if the games only go for 4 weeks, maybe after the 4 weeks we pick which of the pair we want to keep in the house and other goes?

if some are in and some are halfway, and if they will be in out shaken all about, then some pairs might end up united in the actual house while others get separated. so presumably we'll end up with a mix of pairs and singles.

I suggested the couples/teams thing in another post earlier too... I think it's actually a possibility...

Assuming we're correct, I wonder if the 12 housemates actually know their sidekicks/partners are also going in? Would be hard for them to keep that a secret. Maybe they'll get a huge surprise when they appear on the other side of the glass ?

How would that have even worked during the selection process? 😵‍💫 Impossible...

Pretty sure they always ask about partners, friends, family as part of the process, that's how they came up with Mr X Billy

I thought about that too and I reckon it would be impossible if partners went in and neither knew the other was going to be there. I can't see how they could keep that a secret from each other.

Say one partner auditioned and the other got recruited. the latter is sworn to secrecy. the former can tell the latter as that would be normal, so only one is keeping the secret

I feel like it would make it too much of an easy ride for housemates to have a family member also on the show. However I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one or two relationships/couples in the house. However this thing has been done before, based on some of the cues there could potentially be a mother/daughter/parentxchild combo (BBAU 2006, BBUK 2013), brothers/twin brothers/twins (BBAU 2005, BBUK 2013), married couple etc.

So pairs (probably married ones) will be separated.... hmmmm...

I always like the room where HM could watch the others without them knowing... that was awesome... that was "Game on, Moll!"

lol

Hmm I am not sure every Housemate will be paired with a friend or family member or spouse or GF/BF but 3 or 4 of them definitely could be.

I suspect they all will. There'll be more hms than ever before, yeah? Doesn't the record stand at 24 for 2007, including all the extras and intruders?

I have a feeling when they say "more housemates than ever before" they are only referring to Launch Night which would be 16-18 housemates. I have said this all along. I could be wrong though.

I really, really hope they aren't all pairs. That would be a twist I would enjoy for a few weeks and than get really bored of later in the series having so many housemates that already know each other.

Which confuses me, because isn't it now supposedly "confirmed" only 12 will go in on Sunday/Monday... or do we still think that's a ruse?

Yeah 12 on Launch Night and than 3 or 4 of the Housemates paired up which would be be a total of 16/18. Plus there are two new housemates entering on Tuesday night with an impossible task.
