YAY! That's what I wanted for Bigbrother 2.0. The fact that there was not one MA rated show or live stream was a travesty! I want some bat shit crazy house mates like UK but #sorryboutit auditioned this year and anyone unusual, coocoo, strange or crazy in a lovely way were out on the street Including myself, a good escape for a coffee though

I think it is very likely that Australia will do the peoples puppet twist, for a majority of Australian's who havent watched the UK show it would be a big twist to have Australia control a housemate, however, they do say "The Biggest Twist in the History of Big Brother" and Alex has said 2013 will be unlucky for some.

For all we know this series could incorporate alot of the UK's Big Twists:
* The Bed Sit/Safe House Scenario - Where two housemates watch the housemates every move - They might evict two housemates on launch night to watch the housemates??

* The Basement - Where half the house gets send down to the dirt and grime of the basement whilst the other half lives in luxury

* The Big Brother mole - Where they select a housemate as a mole and he/she has to dress up as a mole

* Face to face nominations - All series perhaps?


Whatever the twist is I think it will have been something that has been done off our shores and not necessarily original but there is still that slight hope
 
Having a regular housemate become the mole may backfire on them - as in 2006 we had "the insider" (Michael) which aside from the costume was pretty much the same as UK's mole from a few years ago.

Face to face nominations might be fine as a single week twist but I wouldn't want to see it all series, IMO.

I'd like to see something never been done before (at least on English BB's) but I think you may be right that it could have been done on one or more international BB's.

Maybe we could see all the housemates having to earn their status' this year? Maybe none of them will walk into the house with housemate status like BB10UK? Its one twist we havent done yet, and I think with the luxury which was shown on BB9 last year, it would be a rude shock to the BB10 Housemates.

Interestingly I took to Secret Story, the French Version of BB and they had this twist where they built a "Secret Box" equipped with a seating area and beds, with a hatch, in the living room, they sent three housemates into the Secret Box, and their first instruction was the other housemates weren't allowed to know they were there, and they carried out secret missions to cause havoc in the house to earn their spot as a housemate. That could be interesting?

Having a secret box might make them think its a punishment room?

How about a house committee, elected by the housemates in the first week(once they get to know each other a bit) and used to break deadlocks on decisions ( shopping, challenge tactics etc) as well as call out bad behaviour, BB can still set punishment or offer a few suggestions for punishment to then be decided by the committee.
Would help to divide the house as well as give us an insight into what we now deem punishable behaviour from a social interaction standpoint.....does that make sense? the cricket is killing my sleeping habits!!?!?
 
I would like to see a house divide to be honest. Sonia's dress in the ad was black and white split through the middle so this gives me the hint that it may be 2 sides to the house. Whether it's rich vs poor or heaven and hell I don't know but i'm thinking that's what this BB will be like. "Unlucky for some" tells me that one half of the house will be poor or hell while the others have an easier time. Just my thoughts :)

Yeah its a pretty safe bet that the twist will be something similar to that I think.

The Secret Story (French BB) Have some good ideas, it is full of twits, and they keep you to want more.
I like SS 2011 where the twin brothers were in a tunnel underground and nobody else knew about it. They could listen to conversation from there. There was so much happening in the house, you could never know what to expect.


Not because I am French but Secret Story has the best twists. I would like for BBAU to take their ideas.
 
The twist is they will claim that this year the cast will be the most interesting and diverse cast yet, then on launch night we find out they are all promo models in their early 20s who think southern cross tattoos are the epitome of class.... you know, the exact same cast from 2004 onwards

New promo states that there'll be "more Housemates than ever before".

With the number of most HM's in a single Australian season of Big Brother being 23, do you reckon they mean more than the amount of HM's that have ever entered at the time of Launch or more than the amount during the course of a whole season? 😵‍💫
 
I think that the house will be split into two with the normal amount of housemates in each half (so double the housemates) and maybe have 1 side rich and 1 side poor like the netherlands version.
