Do you, does anyone, get random friend requests from the opposite sex on facebook????

Lately happening, and they always have suss barely there accounts, no friends, no anything just a name and some photos.
WTF is this about?
Do people go on random hunts for dates or something?
I respond with a who the hell are you, and why contact me?
 
that does sound strange, kxk. i can't recall it ever happening to me on any social media platform i've ever been on.

Just two or three over the years, and they were all women from Africa.
