What damned song can't you get out of your head today?

Anyone else but you by The Moldy Peaches

Such a catchy song...I love the line "we sure are cute for two ugly people"

Part 2 makes me melt, but part 3 is a bit melodramatic for my tastes, although I can understand the emotion of it all!

But part 1, well... buttrock.gif

Ha! That's cute. There's an ad in there somewhere, not that Ebay needs advertising.

Great...now that'll be stuck in my head all day!

Except, I always seem to sing Moonbaby's version which is...

"Ebay Ebay Ebay let ya hair hang down!":D

Hehe I love it.

I have a friend who never gets lyrics right (she's not a kiddie so no excuses lol) it took me ages to convince her that Pearl Jam were not singing about "a glorified version of a pelican" ("a glorified version of a pellet gun"), that Green Day's 'American Idiot' does not contain the lyrics "all across the pale neon nation" ("all across the alien nation"), and that System of a Down definately did not sing "every time you drop the bomb, you kill the dog your child sh*ts on" ("and every time you drop the bomb you kill the god your child has born") lol

There's heaps more, but those stick in my mind the most.

"Dream Weaver" by (Gary?) Wright

:D

I'm actually old enough to remember liking this as a kid (ulp).

Ravs post reminds me of my girlfriend...terrible with lyrics, but the one I most remember is back in our bogan pub crawling days...We were mad Angels fans and she always used to ask me to play 'the tequila song'.

I never knew what she was on about til she started singing "I ate the worm, I ate the worm..." It's actually "I aint the one, I aint the one, I aint the one to judge!"...

Also says something about what we were drinking at the time - Mezcal - and lots of it!:D

Is that the song that has this melodic "dreeeam weaver" kind of vocal to it?

I'm just barely old enough to remember it being played often
in the very early days of FM here.

ROFLMAO Ravenau, they're classic.
Both my daughter and i have a pretty good memory and ear for song lyrics. Pretty much knowing most of the words to songs by the third or fourth listen to.
My mum however, does not. One classic that sticks in my mind all the time is Genesis's "Invisible Touch". Mum would (and still does) sing "She seems to have an in visible dustbin" The only reason i found this out was one day my mum asked me what was significant about an invisible dustbin.

Music of the Night from 'The Phantom of the Opera'. Saw the show again last night for the first preview in Brisbane, and Anthony Warlow totally did that song justice as it's supposed to be done. Spine tingling... and it reminded me why I've loved the show nearly my whole life. Been singing the song around the house all day while I prepare to join my own show again in a couple of weeks - really stretched the vocal chords, but in a good way.

Oh yeah, and just about every darn song from Xanadu and the additional songs for the Broadway production have been annoying me something chronic as of late. Can't go half an hour without breaking out into 'Suddenly, the wheels are in motion; and I-I-I-I, I'm ready to sail any ocean'. Gosh it's too much!! ;)

I like that too.....

But is that the video where she's covered in glitter. I hate the video.

I like "you will only break my heart" and "one day"

I agree. It's shit. I hate it when Delta Goodrem does the 'fairytale princess' thing in her music videos. Like in 'Not Me, Not I' and 'Mistaken Identity'. Why can't she wear jeans and a t-shirt instead of some ridiculous outfit?
I swear I'm not a Delta fan... honestly :p

I always get old songs stuck in my head. By old i mean 80's and 90's stuff. They're heaps better than the crap thats out now. It's really random how i could just be busy doing something then all of a sudden a song i haven't heard for 10 years just pops into my head.

I'm loving All Saints song Pure Shores at the moment. I had trouble falling asleep last night because that song is in my head.
