I dunno, maybe he hates Eric that much that he never passes up an opportunity to stick a knife into him. lol

I don't know, you're doing your best to give the writers an out here but I think they just wanted to bring back as many old characters as they can whether it made sense or not. They did better with Terry, Hoyt, Ginger, Alcide's dad and his Mrs. Those made sense.

Yeah you're probably right. In my defence I'm not holding TB to the same high standards of previous seasons, I just want it to be over and done with. lol :)

I'm really only posting this for the photo. :shamefully:

For years, Swedish dreamboat Alexander Skarsgård has made a name for himself as the lusty, Nordic vampire Eric Northman on HBO's True Blood. But with the series drawing to a close in its seventh season, Skarsgård is looking to film for his next great adventure. And coming soon, he'll be a wild thing in the David Yates-directed Tarzan, which has now rolled into production.

Hey U Guys reveals that Warner Bros. Tarzan is officially in full swing as filming has begun. With this news, the studio behind such spectacular tent poles as Godzilla andThe LEGO Movie is revealing Tarzan official plot synopsis:
"It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Margot Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash."
It's interesting that Warner Bros hasn't gone the expected origin story route with theirTarzan. Instead of establishing the iconic action hero as a feral boy turned man of the jungle, the screenplay by Stuart Beattie, Craig Brewer, John Collee and Adam Cozad, will start with a "gentrified" Tarzan, tamed by civil society, renamed John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke. He's an aristocrat and a married man. But when he's invited back to the Congo, we expect Lord Greystroke will be quick to get his kit off and swing through the trees. And hopefully, we'll see a live-action version of this:

Swoon!
Aside from Alexander Skarsgård, the plot synopsis also teases the casting of two-time Academy Award-winner Christoph Waltz and Margot Robbie, who earned loads of notice off of last year's Wolf of Wall Street. Also on board is West African actor Djimon Hounsou, who recently lent his voice to the villainous Drago of How to Train Your Dragon 2, and Samuel L. Jackson, who is fresh off the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is shooting not far from Tarzan. While Avengers: Age of Ultron shoots at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England, Tarzan is shooting on stages at Leavesden, before branching out into location shoots in England and Wales.

Tarzan is poised to swing into theaters in the U.S. and Sweden on July 1st.

In a barely related note, Disney's Tarzan is now streaming on Netflix.

This episode:
- Loved Nicole's rant about how they were having a party after the vamps had killed so many people and taken others hostage 2 days ago
- Bloody Jess ruining Lafayette/James. Boo!
- Pam and Eric are hilarious
- Yakuza. Did that scene remind anyone else of Oberyn's death scene

It's pretty sad how far this show has fallen, glad there are only 5 eps left to put us out of our misery.

Damn I get why Luke Grimes opted out of this show, that was some 'intense' scene they had his character lined up to do. I would never have guessed Laffy was a top, he screamed bottom to me. *shrugs*

I get that the finished product of that scene looked "intense" but to actually film it would not of been that hard. Lets be serious here, both actors would of been clothed and the actor that plays Laffy would of just had to simulate the thrusting and the other actor I guess just had to have a look on his face to matched what was going on.
But who knows there may be more sex scenes in future episodes, that could possibly be harder to film for a straight man.

The day a woman's opinion about how men should feel about a scene request is relevant the same day an actress who objects to nudity is slammed by male critics for being a prude but the misogynist sexist pig card is miraculously not played. Deal? :whistling:

Nobody can tell someone else what they should be comfortable or uncomfortable with. Actors are no different, they're not slaves to the whims of directors and producers and are completely within their human rights to decline any acting request they feel lies outside their comfort zone. Anyone that believes anything to the contrary is a fascist who has a picture of the Fuhrer on their pillow cover. ;-P

*just kidding*

If he was gay and objected to doing straight sex scenes would this be portrayed in the same way?

I remember a story about Portia De Rossi supposedly refusing to kiss men in any of her future scenes. Someone thought she had kissed a guy in a recent show, but couldn't really remember and I have not seen anything of hers since Better Off Ted. What was interesting was that she and Ted had a casual sex relationship but they never showed them kissing or touching. But I think that story was in the wake of her refusing to be interviewed by men when she was promoting her book, so it may have been a piling on story.

Who is this would you're talking about? I certainly woludn't be losing any sleep over it. Someone doesn't wanna do something for their own personal reasons it is none of my goddamn business.

I'm actually loving this season of True Blood. It's back to being hilarious. Oh, Pammy. You are the bomb, not a repulicunt!
Unfortunately for me the odd funny repartee between characters doesn't make up for the lack of an engaging story line the show has ceased to have about 2 to 3 seasons ago. :(

I don't know how I'd feel to be honest having to kiss another woman. But then again I don't know how I'd feel having to reach into someone's face and pull their jaw out either..
That said, I'm not an actress who chose to be in True Blood - where, let's face it - people get it on with anything and everything with great regularity and you're more than likely be called upon to portray many depraved, violent, and other acts generally considered quite offensive.
That I feel is the beauty of the show - that campy quality it has whilst carrying on extremely outrageous acts for our entertainment makes it extremely watchable. The fact it's SO over the top makes it seem like they're taking the piss at themselves and I love that.
I agree that I find this season a lot better than last because there is some of that humour back in it.
I think if you chose to be an actor, and you chose to be on a show like that, you should be comfortable enough in your own skin to separate acting from personal feelings. In fact I think he's weak as piss IF that's his reason for not being in it. Surely he knew it wasn't Disney..

If he was gay and objected to doing straight sex scenes would this be portrayed in the same way?

Probably not because let's face it there are way more straight roles out there than gay so he probably wouldn't even be around to pose the question if he'd refused straight roles. Same thing applies though - I'd think he was a bad actor if he couldn't separate acting from personal preference. I can see why others might have different opinions, that's just how I see it.

Pretty much all of the A listers have clauses in their contracts specifying things they don't want to do and they can do that because their presence can make or break a movie. Whereas on the other hand I'd say many actors at the bottom of the barrell have no qualms doing what they're 'requested' (so far as to sleep with directors etc) because they want a foot in the door and 'progress' in their careers and not because they're 'faithful/devoted' to their craft. It is just a job after all, let's not romanticize 'acting' as if some sort of higher calling or something.

Umm.. you're kind of straying way off the point here. Nobody's talking about sleeping with directors, they're talking about acting in a role.
Fact is, we're talking about True Blood. Nobody forced him to be honest and I seriously doubt people have such clauses within contracts for this show (let's be serious now).
It's also got absolutely nothing to do with romanticising acting as if it's a higher calling. You're right, it's a job. A job you know what it's likely to entail going in. So do it.
Thanks for proving my point :)
