Tim Dormer back in the House

Nah, they pick and choose who's bad & who isn't ....
Jason is norteeee for the watch (he's obviously not in the loop)
Lawson has access to his circus & whatever stationary he wants whenever he wants (so he's in BB's good books)
??

I was referring more to the email that was posted a few pages back. I meant ramifications from Nine, BB, etc.

I guess the over 30's (I bloody hope you are all over 30) are the ones that were with Bb from day dot. We were adults when it started and know exactly how the show works and what it's all about. We are the worse audience they could have. From their point of view I can understand why they want half brained 20 year olds being their biggest audience.

I'm sad that this might be the last season of bb Australia. I am passionate about the show and what it's (supposed) to be about.

The last time they pulled silly stunts like this was season 8 with Corey worthington and that was where it ended :(
21 years old and I've watched it from the beginning. I don't want it to end either.

So was I...

I was just suggesting that BB has some people who can do what they want which is why I included this at the bottom of my post
More likely than not Tim was told to release it to make out likes he's a free spirit not on a contract or anyfing :p

I may have asked this before, but if BBAU does get cancelled, can we take Leon Murray with us? We need an actual Big Brother in America.

Why not try for Nick Colquhoun?

Not sure what he does these days, but he was the main voice of Bb after Peter Abbott. Then Leon came on as main voice when Nick left.

Leon doesn't need Big Brother as he does do other work too.

tim is in with a mission, BB wants gemma to go. and she rightfully deserves it. what silly game play was she doing? the new love triangle will keep the girls in, then Tim strongly hinted to dave, that he wanted to see someone like him to stay, and to achieve that he needs to shave off the beard, dave initially was adamant the beard is to stay. but he clued on pretty quickly. travis and cat were never in the danger to leave first. so there, bye bye gemma

I think he'll take any job he can get. Don't be seduced by his velvety tones, he's only a voice over guy who in reality looks a dweeb in the vein of this year's Jake.
hes not just a velvety tone, he has a great way with repartee. there have been countless times that he has made quick-witted and biting responses to a housemates comment.

Haha, I don't know he's a pretty busy guy; between him and Samuel Johnson they voice just about every single ad on our TV screen.
which is funny, because i only became aware of either of them via bigbrother. 'secret life of us' was promoted heavily during bb, and an ep1 viewing was shown in the house itself (in a reward room?).

SBS should do Big Brother
that would be pretty epic. imagine bb losing the bubblegum and going all the experiment on us.

Love seeing Tim in the house.

It needed livening up,

Me, too. And he delivered on his promise to give some encouragement to the Beard, and fulfilled our request that he get the Beard to shave the beard. Plus shook up the house - because he favoured their whipping-boy. Good times.

It was squick-making viewing with all that talk of who fancied who, and every dipstick in the house taking that as a cue to form a showmance, neow. On the spot! The idiots. With a bit of luck, that will have cooked a couple of gooses, and it is just possible they will use their brains and vote out Travis, if given the opportunity.

I just enjoyed hearing his voice. Liked the unmasked boredom he displayed listening to Gemma. Loved the David in the Sanctuary scenes. Just loved seeing David come alive like that, and his new place in the house pecking order, also. Enjoyed seeing the Timmy on-stage last night giving Sonia a rundown/analysis. I was hoping for more to be shown, but Nine this year, more so than previously, can't seem to work out if they are broadcasting for families or making some low-rent porno slash soapie aimed at not very bright tweens.

On this last point, Alex can probably still say that honestly. Those Ambi Pur ads were filmed in lockdown, no? This is not the first year that HMs are used in sponsor ads. However that part is clearly a sponsor ad, it's not used as a story device in the daily shows.

Product placement doesn't really bother me anyway, ads pay the bills.

I honestly don't know how people can enjoy Tim going into the house.

It is pretty much everything the original BB format is not about.

True, but we left the original concept behind a very long time ago. If we aren't going to get a pure BB we may as well enjoy the entertaining bits when they come.
Disagree. There may have been more stunts and gimmicks with Channel 9's version, but the main premise of the show was still very much about the social interaction between the housemates.

This season has taken a big turn. I don't blame anyone for deciding to stop watching the show. Why would you? When you can get better stunt content watching Wipeout....

Not sure I agree. I think the original concept has been eroding slowly over a long time. Lots of stunts and gimmicks for many seasons now. BUT I do agree this season has been a huge jump. They didn't even let them settle into the house for a day before they started with the tom foolery. And I'm not talking about the pairs. That could have provided some great insights into the housemate's social interaction.

The biggest thing is that this first eviction seems so goddamn drawn out, yet I still don't know any of the housemates that well.

You're right. We don't know them at all. It seems there has been no time of just sitting back and eavesdropping on regular getting to know you conversations. It's all been contrived stuff from day one.
Oh well. I'll take what I can get.

Read the last few pages back yesterday afternoon when I read on another forum about Tim's private message to @DigitalCorp

Interesting insight into Channel 9 and Big Brother. Proves like I thought that they don't care about fans opinions. But am curious like @Rison suggested maybe Channel 9 is purposely trying to kill the show off after the 3 year contract runs out. It wouldn't really make sense though because they over estimated the ratings numbers and now owe the advertisers money. And why have the show just to kill it? Much better off not to have renewed it this year. Surely Nine are smart to do a year by year contract with the contract meaning first option to renew?

This definitely feels like the last year. So many issues are pointing out that makes this clear (later time slot, 80 days, ratings bad and Sonia pregnant - probably would leave hosting duties and she understandably would want time off to be with baby).

Really hope it gets picked up again by Channel 10 to air in 2016. Don't know if they would though if ratings are so dire with this season. But I really think the show would be much better off with them. This show never suited conservative Channel 9 and I'm not sure why they even wanted the program in the first place. Channel 10 were very close to having it too. I guess it would be up to them to revive it if the show ends on Channel 9 this year.

There is definitely light left in this show if done properly. It would be a risk but it could pay off. Endemol would have to make the format cost lower though so 10 can take a chance and incentive to go with the risk.

Everybody pray and send out good vibes for Big Brother to come back to Channel 10 next year or 2016...
