Yeah sorry. Sci Fi and action movies do not I terest me even in the slightest
Lol! This happens quite often.People working in shops who cannot make change
Today at a local IGA my purchase was $5.25 ... i handed over $20 then said I have the 25c ... the young woman took the 25c then stared at it like it was totally alien to her and then said "I have to work out what to give you" and I waited ... and she looked anxious and stressed and could not work it out for herself ... I ended up saying "give me back the 25c and just give me the change then ... it wasnt rocket science .. i didnt give her 30c and expect here to make change in both $ and c ...
Back in nineteen-dickettytwo when i worked in the local fruit & vege store I had to calculate the total of a whole order with pen and paper ... no calculator ... and make change without the cash register telling me what to hand over
We seem to have people now so reliant on calculators that they can't work out basic addition or subtraction in their heads
Yes yes i know ... first world problems ... just surprises me everytime something like this happens and makes me wonder just how far they'll go jn the dumbing down of our education system and o ver-reliance on calculators etc

It's (mainly) just laziness I reckon. From the would be/should be change-makers but also somehow embedded in our education system. I know we shouldn't force people to be who they aren't (eg mathematicians) but being able to actively function within society and having fundamental skills for every day tasks is pretty helpful. Brain development is generally speaking a good thing??!OMG when I worked at McDonald's I used to love when people did that! It's quite sad as I was one of the onto workers who could actually count the change in my head, I never got into trouble with being over or under my float. That actually really annoys me when they can't figure it out!

People who park in front of my rubbish bins after I have taken them out so my rubbish isn't taken away!
...simple... take the effort to go out and lift your bin onto either the bonnet or even the roof of their car and leave it there until it's picked up... if you're lucky the rubbish pick-up guy might be able to leave a dent in it when he places the bin back down... I bet that they wouldn't park there again... problem solved!... cheers.
speaking of garbage bins I hate it when they collect your bins and leave mess and they fling your bins and they leave the wrong bins in front of the wrong houses...simple... take the effort to go out and lift your bin onto either the bonnet or even the roof of their car and leave it there until it's picked up... if you're lucky the rubbish pick-up guy might be able to leave a dent in it when he places the bin back down... Oh that is a big fat No-No..my birthday is on the 6th December and it is not allowed..no ways!! I think come Jan 18...you must give yourself a present, something you really want to do...treat yourself!!!!!The Stuff I hate .......
and it has been going on since I was very young - from when I can remember
It is a bit Material - But not so ......
I have always been given a Christmas Present and Birthday Present as one. Just because they are sooo close together. Not sure when dec 25 and jan 18 became so close - but they are in my Mums eyes - and I have expressed my dislike for this to her - but it has never changedAt least I get a card in Jan
I get really angry at this and will have to let go of it
Suppose it is just about having a special day - just for myself -![]()
I cant stand that, not everyone wants children and some parents think that because they are parents everyone should be subjected to their little darlings...uhhm monstersKids that have tantrums and are little shites in a shop and the mother does nothing to discipline the bad behaviour... witnesssed a kid screaming, yelling "get out of my way" and pushing and hitting his mum for a good 2-3 mins whilst in supermarket queue. There was no telling off, or teaching the child hitting a woman when you are mad is wrong. Instead in the end she picks him up and hugs him... fabulous way to reinforce that behaviour to get affection mum!
Ouch!when you hit your head on a glass shelf and get a big dent in your head

How dare you be in the childs way! lol I can imagine that would hurt. The young man serving actually tried to talk the the kid and get him to smile, but the mum didn't even say thanks to him for that - just rude.I was at Woolies one day and a kid about 5 kept running along with a trolley. Anyway, eventually, he ran the trolley into my side at speed. It hurt. The child started crying and his mum gave him a hug and me a death glare.
Too late, doesnt bode well for today I usually hurt myself in three'sOh dear! I hope you don't get a bruise!
