THE VIRUS 2020 - the good, the bad, and the ugly

What were you suggesting, professor beach?

I think you sometimes comment on things you don't understand and then deflect into a 'it's real/true to me' attitude when challenged. Just because something is something to you, doesn't mean it's the reality.

I am not that aware of Kayleigh but I looked at her Wikipedia page She seems to be very accomplished for her age!

What happened to Kellyanne Conway? Is she still doing the same thing?
Yes, she is still around, though she doesn't appear to be too much in the lime light of late. I don't know if she is still cunselor but she definitely is still one of us deplorables 😁

We all have different realities. Different perceptions.

And if I deflect because I'm lazy.

I am not a political beast in fact, some call me apathetic when it comes to politics because no matter what party, be it state or federal, has been in government, it has never impacted my life at all over many, many years. BUT this is something different...it HAS impacted on my life! I live in country Vic but my children live in Melbourne and I haven't seen them for months! I am "privileged" to still be able to work because it is deemed an essential service but I actually don't need to work...I do it to help others out but I'd rather not be in this position. I guess, like millions of other people, I'm just angry at what has been allowed to happen in Vic.

Well well well, the elephant in the room is stirring and will soon no longer be ignored. This is all about Andrews' socialist obsessions with multiculturalism and equality. Do we all remember the 'African street gangs'? Where were (are) most of them and were have they created most chaos and crimes? (It's not a trick question).

It will be interesting to see where this lands, if anywhere. As far as I can tell, the social inclusion may not have been dictated by the state government. Maybe that one company was hired. We'll have to see.

African street gangs have been a problem for 20+ years in Victoria. Not a Dan Andrews created issue. Go back and blame John Howard for that.

New Zealand has reached 100 days with no community transmission! It gives hope it can be done

That may be so... I hardly remember John Howard (except for his draconian reaction to the BB show) and only began to take a vague interest in Australian politics when I saw how the Rock Star Kevin 07 appeared to be preparing the country for a bloodless coup and turn Australia into a socialist state.
It was only two or three years ago that I heard the term 'African Street Gangs' for the first time. I remember fact-checking because I thought I must have misheard and discovered to my great surprise that there was a huge presence of Sudanese in Melbourne.
My bad perhaps... or was it due to the MSM not being very particular in reporting such 'incidents'? -- You decide.
In my defence, Andrews hasn't done anything to solve the problem and surely I don't have to explain why he hasn't got the guts to even make an attempt..

There is a lot of throwing around of the term "social inclusion" here. How do you all define it?

I think in the context of hiring security guards, it's just finding jobs for international students and immigrants that are low skilled, find it hard to find work. Which really means, cheap disposable labour. Social inclusion is an excuse.

The state Gov didn't hire these guards, so how much they can be blamed for it is anyone's guess.

When Howard started bringing in migrants from certain parts of Africa, there was discussions and warnings about integration which was ignored. Which in doing so all but ensures you have issues with it. It isn't doing what is best for the immigrants or the wider community. Which directly leads to so many disaffected youths in these communities today that don't feel part of the wider community. Governments were warned there would be issues but did nothing.

Well before the recent reports of the last few years, Victoria had been covering up the statistics of crime related to these communities. Christine Nixon, the Vic Police Chief Commissioner in the 2000s worked to hide and even mislead the public on crime rates within certain communities to not stigmatise them.

Once again, denial of what happening helps no one. You can't help communities if you deny there are problems. PC politics, which comes from both sides of the political parties on these issues, just ignore these issues because they use immigration to falsely boost economic numbers. The argument for this starts to fall apart when you actually look at any other issues around it.

I am going to comment on the curfew.

So there’s a curfew for everyone except for those needing safe injection rooms? Ridiculous if you ask me.
