THE VIRUS 2020 - the good, the bad, and the ugly

Well, it was relatively calm in Woolies this morning. No police lines, queues etc etc etc.
Most people doing the right thing, a few morons not following the arrows and trying to barge through.
One man lost it at a Woolies worker demanding to know if there were toilet rolls stored out the back as he'd been in there everyday for the last 3 weeks and was still unable to buy any. The shelves were still stripped bare. The employee was pleasantly apologetic, but the man looked like he was going to have a seizure.

I managed to get some hand sanitizer for the first time today from Priceline, and a couple of masks.

We were booked to see Ben Elton next month in Newcastle, booking.com have given us a full refund from the hotel we'd booked for the night, and Ticketek told us to keep hold of the tickets as the show will rescheduled at a later date.

The next big one will be having to cancel our trip back to the UK in June, but we're hanging out for Emirates to email us saying it's cancelled so we can just get a voucher for a later date.

I'm already eyeing up a bottle of wine for this evening! At least I will wait for this evening!

My Coles was relatively stress-free at 9am today. One worker on the door, no line up. I asked if it was ok to go in and he said "Yep, you're #63" (of the 100 people limit).

...February... just out of pure curiosity... do you live near Newcastle?... as I live in Swansea not far from Newcastle... you don’t have to tell me if you prefer to keep it private... as I said... I’m just curious... cheers.

I agree!

I have also been listening to this. Songs like this are making me feel energetic too.

Love that song, poor girl not really a fan of her in general though

And @Mr Stickyfingers ....the behaviour towards our medical heroes is as you say unfathomable
Are these freaks even human?

The disparity between the low life creatures v our medical heroes!?!?
Makes you sick
And sometimes I do wonder if we are really all one species
We have such beautiful generous kind souls v utterly animalistic turds
I just do not understand

And it is great that the government is organising hotels for the medics, and restaurants are delivering real meals

Anyone interested in joining online pub trivia nights???

Do they ask questions about pop culture?

Some people taking it to ridiculous extremes.

Do they ask questions about pop culture?
Yes.......plenty of music, movies entertainment stuff
And general stuff some stuff about countries (not very strong for me, often guessing, ) stuff in the news etc
Online they do quite a lot multiple choice style, more opportunities for guessing and no typing needed

Do you have to speak?
No, not at all, no speaking required.......thankfully that would be weird
However, the host also runs a live hosting thing.....I didn’t bother with that, not the guy we usually have
It is fast, 30sec to answer, to stop cheating.....I missed the 2nd question not realising how quick it would be
Great fun, and good for our brains

A gallery of some great photos of Adelaide during this time

Hate movies. Think I would be good at the music and countries questions though.

Come to think of it, not a lot on movies, more TV and music, and stuff about celebs
Not ever much about sport thankfully
They will throw in some odd categories - well odd to me as I don't drink really , so one week there was an alcohol category
(fitting tho as it is pub trivia)
Actually I have a a bottle of Italian prosseco I might pretend I am at the pub tonight
I got about half right last week
