The Traitors

I actually preferred how the US version handled the secret traitor, keeping the identities of the main traitors secret from the secret one. It was genuinely a shock that they managed to banish the secret traitor, though I do wish that the other traitors hadn't just jumped on the same bandwagon and tried to target someone else.

I'm loving watching both the UK and the US seasons, but what I hate is that the episodes are a carbon copy of each other. Both the UK and the US did the cage mission with the skulls and the chariot to the castle. I know they're the same production company but put in some effort, you can still have them just not in the same order. (didn't see that thought was already mentioned)
As someone probably more interested in production than the personalities it's quite interesting seeing two versions of the same show and the slight differences in how they did the secret traitor and cage tasks slightly differently.

…I’ve just finished the end of The Traitors UK Season 2… it was good but not as great as Season 1 was… I found it a tad bit harder at first to shine towards most players but about halfway through I had finally binded with a few of them… as opposed to Season 1 where I got the outcome that I wanted… at the end of Season 2… it was the outcome that I didn’t want… oh well… you win some… you lose some I suppose?…

…what I love about the two Seasons is that it’s not repeating the same old same old… the quality of both Seasons is of the highest quality in scenes / sets / expense of production… the ‘quality at no expense’ attitude of the Producers is phenomenal… every single camera shot is pure class… I’m so loving this show!… as I said before… this is my favourite’Reality’ show now…

…I’m starting to watch Episode 1 of Season 3 of UK Traitors as I type right now… I’ve already shined towards at least 6 of them just on sight alone with the potential of liking even more as we find out about them… I already dislike at least 5 of them at first sight lol!… I think that I’m going to like this Season better than Season 2 already methinks!…

…I was a bit worried that the Production quality would go down but the quality went higher which was a great relief… I hope that it always will continue to be at this quality… it’s sad when a great show after a few Seasons goes downhill in Production values… I guess that we should enjoy it while we can eh?… what a great show… I love who dunnit murder mysteries type of shows… even though you know who the traitors are straight up… cheers.

…some things that I meant to say above… another couple of elements of the show I like… there isn’t much room for Producers to manipulate outcomes or steer things their way or produce ‘narratives’ or ‘storylines” of fake ‘showmances’ that always kills shows… so please Producers do not interfere with the genuine interactions of the players and kill a great show…

…and… the background music and singing perfectly suits each situation as they happen… so kudos to you all for that (as usually myself am the biggest whingey whiney bitch about music on shows lol!)… but not this time guys… you’re nailing it… cheers.

I think the UK is so good because they take the carbon copy route. The US show always films first each year, then they look at how things worked and then the UK show gets slight revisions to make things a little better/cut what didn't work.

The carbon copy route also means they aren't going to run out of ideas as fast by producing two (now three because of Celebrity Traitors being such a success) completely unique shows each year.

Quite surprised the US haven't had some of the celeb missions too, although many were just rehashes of previous ones. Interesting again seeing another slight variation with the Fountain of the Faithful mission - on paper the US twist of no murder if nobody takes a shield is better but the UK format ended up being more revealing.

As for both shows - an explosive first 20 minutes of the UK show this week which then quietened down a bit. Our faithful are now beginning to rival the second Aussie season and think we're heading for a similar conclusion.

The US show is what it is - thankful the cast put basic human decency above suspicion with the latest vote. Enjoyed the input from the two Love Islanders in that round table - Rob saying what we were all thinking watching and Maura putting the final boot in.
