"Strategy Dave" reveals the shave was a sham!
Australia's favourite strategist reveals the much talked-about beard-shave was planned long before entering the Big Brother House!
In this exclusive post-Eviction interview, this year’s most Nominated Housemate chats uncensored about his “Shavid” transformation, his love/hate relationship with Priya, and his devastation that “Chloe from Chippendale” was a hoax!

On his first strategic move: I did say I’d never shave my beard off, but that was maybe strategy move number one… The people and the public will always want what they can’t have. If you were to ever speak to my friends or family before coming into Big Brother, they knew that the beard was coming off at some point during the game. I never thought it would be as early as it was.
On who made the decision to shave: Tim opened my mind to shaving it, but he had to work for an hour and I still believe that it wasn’t Tim that made me shave my beard; something clicked in my mind… My beard came off for my survival, and the survival of Sandra at the time, who I felt somewhat responsible for.
On what Leo whispered to him on Leo’s Eviction night: Australia, get ready because I’m about to tell you what Leo told me, and it is that… ‘Take this to your grave David,’ so I’m not going to say… It was in relation to something that happened in the House recently.
On who should’ve gone tonight: Priya. Priya needs to go. It’s all game talk; there’s nothing else. She doesn’t go to the gym, she doesn’t go for a swim, she doesn’t go in the sauna, she doesn’t jump in the spa; it’s just yack yack yack, game game game, talk talk talk, whinge whinge whinge. Enough of it!
On butting heads with Lisa, Priya, Skye and Lina: It’s not a bad thing; if you can do it in the right way it can bring you closer together… I believe I don’t have girls like them in my circle of friends; they’re not the type of girls I would like to befriend… They’re not compatible characters with mine.
On an important lesson learnt: I learnt one of my biggest life lessons in this game from Lisa, and that is that it’s ok to wipe the slate clean, start again, and go for it… I can’t wait to see her again, and that’s not the truth for a few of the other Housemates.
On discovering “Chloe from Chippendale” was a hoax: That’s one of the biggest stitch-ups I’ve ever been a part of! That is hysterical. I can’t wait to see Lawson, Sam, Rysy… I tip my hat to you boys; you’ve done yourselves proud and you’ve definitely got one up on me.
On what the real “Chloes” can do to win his heart: Be yourself, be funny, don’t take yourself too seriously… And be willing to take things slowly and to give me my space when I need it! Being single for 31 years, you’re going to need your space.
On who he’d HATE to see win Big Brother: Skye. I myself am a massive fan of Big Brother and, for me, the winner of Big Brother is an advocate for the people of Australia; that’s who they represent. If Skye’s representing Australia, then we’re in trouble team.
