Women have come a long way since Bryan Ferry was a hit.
There has never been a better time than now to be a woman in this country. I am 44 and I get to go to bed each night with a delicious man who is 35. He makes me feel loved, he makes me laugh and he is easily the nicest man I have ever met in my whole life. People say I am "lucky" to have someone like him, but quite frankly I would never have settled for anything less. We are coming up to 14 years of sordid bliss, and as long as we are happy, we will continue. I am not a great believer of "soulmates" and happily ever after. I think a relationship should only last as long as the love does.
Personally I can appreciate men of all ages. While I am very happy with the man I ensnared, I can still at times be attracted to men of all ages. Age really is a number to me. A man who is in his 60's and is confident, physically fit, intelligent and smells good is far more attractive to me than a man in his 20's, who abuses his health, lacks in basic hygiene etiquette and has no direction or confidence.
I usually like what you have to say, but in this instant I think it is a shame you are ageist when it comes to companionship.

Yeah I'm a cougar or I much prefer puma these days. However I basically went for older dudes when I was younger (before 23-that's when I met my husband).
When I was 17/18 I dated a fella in his 30s, and then my serious boyfriend when I was 19/20 was late 20s. Obviously that all didn't work out lol. I think it was more of a savior kind of thing? Unlike the guys my age, they had careers, own place, cars etc.
Back to the topic, I think it's quite possible these fellas are quite deluded in thinking they are superstars and the girls were just objects in their power fantasies. It's a shame old mate is dead.

I'm older than my hubby too but only by a few months. I have no complaints. Like they say, get 'em young, teach 'em tricks.
...not only these days Shell... my beautiful sweet darling wife and I have been together for 35 years... when we met I was 24 and she was 34... (I'm now 59 and she is the magic 69)... I didn't realise that she had 6 kids from her first marriage when I first asked her out... it was quite an eye-opening experience when she told me lol!... we now have 19 grand kids!...
...I always tell my wife that she was one of the original cougars from the 1970's before Hollywood made it a popular idea... I have to say... I've never regretted a single moment in the whole of our 35 years together... she's a hell of a woman!... and... I still love her to this day!... cheers.

I HATE HATE HATE the term cougar. It originally meant older chicks that went out JUST to pick up younger guys and now we all get lumped under the same term

...when she had her 6th child she had her fallopian tubes (is that right?) cut and tied... she asked me if I wanted a child after being together for a year or so and I said a 'yeah why don't we' type of statement... she went into hospital to have it reversed but they were too far gone unfortunately...
...she was devastated and even gave me an option to break up our relationship so I could meet another woman so as to be able to have a child of my own (that's how beautiful a person that she really is God love her)... obviously she was more important to me than having my own child...
...IV wasn't something that was readily available at that time as an option... so therefore I never had one of my own... sometimes you have to accept what is dealt to you in life eh?...

Welcome to the off-season where my chosen typical role is, among other things, to write what the majority would rather not read and by doing so, typically inspire (ok, more like provoke) a thread to go in less than boring directions ... when not utterly killing it, that is.
Another thing I like doing is fishing out old members who return and post under a new name or two. That I do for free and regardless of as to who else might notice.
Anyhoo, in continuing with the "grab a granny" vs "no need to consider older women when there is so much young hotness around" thang, I don't mind saying that I'm not just "ageist" but I'm also "heightist" too.
IE, them hot young things have to be shorter than me if they wanna hang on my arm or attract a welcome bottom pinch from me.
Like, what man would want to have to look UP to see his woman's eyes ?

It was common knowledge in the celebrity world in the UK very early on that Saville & his buddies preyed on young girls. He was also a procurer of very young children for people in very, very high places. I won't go into too much detail on here as it will probably get removed but there was 'allegedy' a procurer of very young children who was 'let go' by certain people as he was becoming too dangerous & sloppy. This procurer went on to do a mass killing in Scotland. All of this is on the internet if you look for it. All written by 'victims' who have never been believed. It keeps getting taken down but it keeps reappearing.
Very sordid stuff if it is true & once you realise the extent & how deep this goes, then you understand why it hasn't been investigated until now. 'They' haven't allowed it. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

What you have to remember about deviants is that they put themselves in positions in society where they have access to what they want. Deviants all congregate together & help each other. That's why people in powerful positions are usually quite well protected. They have a whole wall of fellow deviants surrounding them.

You mention how "they" won't allow certain investigations. I assume you are meaning a certain secret club well known all over he world with lots of members in very high places who all protect each other, yes?
I read an interview a while back from a woman who was in hospital as a child during one of Jimmy Saville's visits once. She was quite sick and in a wheelchair when she met him. He asked her if he could give her a kiss and she said yes, expecting a kiss on the cheek or forehead, the type of kiss that she, as a child, was used to receiving from adults and she was horrified when he stuck his tongue down her throat and went the grope. And no-one believed her. She was about 12. I"ve seen in several news articles that the reason JS spent so much time at childrens hospitals was because that's where the sick children were. I guess healthy ones fought too hard. It's sick all of these men preying on children. I hope they take down the whole lot of them as well as anyone who helped them or covered up for them.

Yeah pretty much. According to those sources, it wasn't just the children who were alive either. The Police seem to be moving very slowly on all this but because of the people involved, they will have to make sure they have 100% hard physical facts. This is where trash rags such as the Daily Mail etc are dangerous. They nearly crossed the line with Rolf Harris & he was released without charge. The victims of these horrendous crimes need to have a fair chance at least of these people going to trial. They need to have a gag order on things like this. They don't care about victims. All they care about is profit.
When you look back & see how JS was with the young kids around him on his show, it just makes you want to weep.
