I'm currently watching Severance (Apple TV). It's from 2022 but I'm always late. It's a bit of a slow burn, but quirky and interesting premise. S1 has just nine episodes, and S2 just started airing last week.

Are you watching Season 2 timmy? (I am)

Until this weeks episode.
Oh come on, there was a massive information dump in this episode. But I see a lot of people seems to have missed that? Or were just bored by the setting and disconnect from the usual scenery? I'm gonna watch it again.

It just wasn't enough to justify a full episode. So it was drawn out, slowly placed with lots of shots of actors standing there saying or doing nothing. It's just drawing out the run time and delaying the continuation of plotlines we are desperate to see what happens.

I disagree. Watched it again last night and it suited being a self-contained episode focused on Cobel's background. There was a lot in there despite the quiet and slow pace.

Finished my first rewatch of Firefly since I got it on DVD 20 or so years ago. Watched the Blu-ray. The Picture quality isn't the best, but still fine. The show is still fantastic. Really enjoyed the rewatch and was sad to finish it. I'll watch the movie (Serentiy) in the coming days.

This week I'll finish the Sabaody Archipelago Arc in One Piece, which has been very enjoyable so far.

There also wasn't a lot.
Telling backstory, while also alluding to a lot of things that the show will never explore. Glad you enjoyed it though. I feel like it's the kind of episode that would sit better when you're watching the entire season. As opposed to waiting to find out about whats happening to Mark. Also it followed the previous weeks episode which was a huge one.

In NZ the UK version seem a popular viewing option with the elderly, along with the chase.
funny you should say that because that is where i first saw it (while overnighting in Auckland before flying home after a Scouts camp).

I love the TIPPING POINT end footage where the cameraman points the camera at the machine moving back and forth/ dramatic background music.

Season 2 of Severence is over. The show remained good despite a few weaker episodes stretching out the length of the season. The ending was good. I don't really like the obviously directions the next seasons could go. My girlfriend thinks they shouldn't make any more and the show should end where it ended at the end of s2. Which has merit.

Been watching a show called Paradise. It's really good. Will watch the season finale tonight. It's a show that'd be best to go in blind to the larger premise. The basics is a secret Service agent investigating a murder, then political dramas and mysteries.

Mark's reintegration has barely begun. Will Gemma make it to freedom? Still a lot of potential here. I believe it's Apple's biggest show ever so they weren't likely to cancel it.

Season 3 is going ahead. Just as well, because I really want to see Irving's back story.

I don't know how to feel about the end of Severance season 2, because I'm not 100% sure that was Helly rather than Helena in the final scene. I'd be a little pissed if it's Helena, but that cold stare she gives Gemma in the stairwell feels more like a Helena thing.

I was quite into it before the larger premise dropped. Now I'm wondering how I feel about it.
