Oh and don't you love the randomness of Dr Chris getting a surprise phone call to go fix a snake - while off-duty & driving home for the weekend? With a full camera crew already filming, of course.
 
And the voiceover guy does the MC Allie" thing, one of the pets was called Ellie, it was written on the screen, & they continually called it Allie.
 
What was in that snake I only saw the adds?

What's cracking me up......the previews for some bridezilla show, ......"everything was fine, until".....& then gollum comes leaping out with the ring, lots of "my precious" and "murderer"....freaked out wedding guests.
It's hilarious
 
I think thats the new series of "Four Weddings". I have seen that ad too, and its ridiculous. The show is great though. Real bitchy train wreck television.

It had swallowed a marble egg, that the farmers put in the chook house to encourage the hens to lay, or something. Dr Chris operated & removed it, and gave it back to the family (yuck).
 
Did anyone watch Hamish & Andy on thursday? I totally forgot it was even on - did I miss much?
 
To tell the truth and be flamed I think Hamish & Andy's gap year is the bottom of the TV barrell. I don't find them funny at the best of times....
 
Did anyone watch My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding on pay tv? It was pretty interesting. I watched the last ep today where they were saying about racism against gypsies and it kinda made me stop and think. Over the years I've seen plenty of people from the UK post their opinions on gypsies and they aren't nice at all. They tar them all with the same brush. I think most towns in the UK are unwelcoming to gypsies. Would people get away with their blatant display of hatred with Muslims? I bet the haters don't even realise they're racist. Don't like gypsies? Just don't get them to tar your drive or retile your roof.
 
I haven't seen the show but you are right that gypsies (whatever that covers) have an extremely hard life throughout Europe.

I think it continues because they are powerless and outcasts in every country.

Yeah I saw it and loved it.

I've seen a lot of Gypsies over the years but in Ireland not England and yes they are not popular at all. They have a reputation as dole bludging thieves. I do have to wonder where on earth they get the money for those extravagant Weddings, though I guess if you have a job but no mortgage then you'd have a bit of spare cash.

The Gypsies I'm familiar with in Ireland were true travelers, they had their wagons and caravans and set up camp on the side of the road, until they were eventually moved on by the Police.

I think the show really gave us an insight into their lives and I have certainly changed my opinions somewhat.

you missed nothing, because it hasnt started yet.

Im not totally against Handa, But I'm not quite sure the show will prove to be a success. we shall see.


Ill be too busy watching Crownies. Terrific australian drama, though figures don't seem to agree.
