That was such a fantastic end. They all did so well and they all deserved it. Really happy with the winners. YAY!! :D
 
What are our opinions on The Shire now that the promo ads have started?

I am totally uninterested but suspect there are some fans lurking already juding by these comments (I am Goonies)

@ Darcey09 – I am not watching, I am being bombarded with promo ads whilst trying to watch things like Offspring, Neighbours and Masterchef.
My opinion is just as valid as anyone elses whether you agree with it or not and I absoutely stand by my comment that they are not pretty girls.
@ niccky – you called someone an ‘absolute clown’! There are differing degrees of insults in your mind are there?

I did not see any pretty girls in the promo at all, I saw overcooked, over made-up, overdone ‘chicks’ who should be heading down to the Snog, Marry, Avoid set.
As annoying as Lara can be she is a far prettier girl than anyone on the Shire ads.

I have to agree with goonies comments shown in ichi's post. Not into bogan tv myself. (exception being Kath and Kim..but they're not real bogans) Each to their own but I won't be watching.

The Shire appears to be a copy of The Only Way is Essex. In TOWIE there is a girl who works in a beauty salon, In The Shire the is a girl who works in a beauty salon. In TOWIE there was a girl who was a singer and in The Shire pretty sure one of the girls has musical aspirations.
 
Yeah I don't know why it was originally billed as being like Jersey Shore because it seems to be much more Laguna Beach / The Hills style of reality tv.

British drama llamas are immediately more interesting than Aussie ones any day :)
 
Haha at Goonies mentioning Snog Marry Avoid, my nine year old loves that show. I probably shouldn't let her watch it but it is teaching her that she will not need a mountain of makeup to make her pretty.

The Only Way Is Essex is filmed/produced a particular way, while The Hills etc are scripted it's not that obvious that it is whereas with The Only Way Is Essex there is very much a staged feel about it and I think it's meant to be like that.

I ended up loving TOWIE though, pretty much because it was hilarious! Not sure it deserved a friggin BAFTA though!!
 
God saturday night TV sucks.

And I'm loving 11 fridays, it's all girly trash, the whole night, fab..........starting with Snog/m/a, then Next Top Model, then Fashion Star, great trashy night, perfect for friday slugging out with a glass of wine in my PJs.

Yes shhhh I quite like it too, they were clever in casting the characters, they have the girl most clueless girls would aspire too, Amy the good looking scoundrel Mark the bitch girl (forget her name) and the list goes on.
 
Fridays are fab, think I might drop them a congrats.

News - yeah Chrissie Swan is the new host of Can of Worms, and i think she can make this thing work, she is great at cutting through bullshit and keeping things fun and lively. Now 10 put Amina on the Circle rotation - your really missing that Chrissie warmth, and Amina has that quality.
 
I've not really watched COW much, my 12yo loves it but I sure will watch it now with chrissie. Not that I didnt like dicko or the show.
 
I never watched it either, I would see about 5mins of the beginning or end. Pretty shallow light entertainment - but I don't care what the vehicle is I just love Chrissie Swan and she can make just about anything fun

And what's this other shit show "Don't Tell The Bride?" the ad looks terrible as in bad? People actually want to be on such shows I find that most amazing.

Oh one ad I do love. Anyone like the ad for Farmer Wants A Wife with all these brides doing olympic events? I just love that. It should be made into a real sport...... Pity the show is shit.
