I like Drew and Richie - so far, and I really like Sam as a really natural lady

HE wanted to cut in - but knew it broke the bro code - so he wanted others to do it so they'd be the ones breaking it ...
he wasn't thinking about anyone else but himself
whilst I hate the constant referral to the bro code ... its just common decency to allow Sam time with whoever she chooses for however long she needs with them ... he needed to realise he was NOT the one in control here - Sam is. She decides.

It’s a bit surreal watching a bunch of dudes in my house.
I wanted to tell them, “Can you make sure you do the dishes before you go? I know you’ve got to go on a date or whatever and you’ve got to get ready and make sure your pants match your shirt but can you put the towels through the wash before you leave? That’d be really great.”
I didn’t predict that Sam would pick Plumber Dave for the first date but I did have a feeling she’d pick someone a little more obscure. Throw a bit of a curve ball, keep everyone guessing.
Because if she picked Sasha then we’d all know that she’d picked Sasha — I don’t know if she HAS picked Sasha, I’ve just decided that she will. Obviously my intuition means nothing because I got dumped but I’m telling you, she picks Sasha.
Also, I’m getting a little nervous for Richie. He’s one of my favourites and I was hoping she’d give him the first date and get him off the bench — I’m using sports analogies here because the boys all constantly use them. If Richie doesn’t get off the bench before half time I think he’s going to find himself with a red card and get booted out.

But Plumber Dave and Sam had a fantastic date. Nice helicopter ride, straight to the SCG for some cricket, she didn’t have to bowl or pitch which I am totally for (because I am not a sports person) and so she could just sit on the sidelines and look hot in her black pants.

Sam Frost’s no fool — when at the cricket she knows it’s more fun from the sidelines. (Pic: Channel 10)
I’d tell Frosty to watch her language though because it could come back to bite her on the arse. Saying things like, “Blow him away on the first date” right before you go into a locker room and watch him get changed? (Although I am okay with that because any moment we have to watch the guys get changed is a beautiful thing.)
I want to talk about the group date now. When the girls went on a group date on The Bachelor, we felt the need to step up to the plate. We had to follow through because we felt like if we didn’t people would say we’re too girly, or we’re too scared or a princess.
The boys, on the other hand? They all stood back on that group date where they had to jump off a cliff and said, “Prove our love? Fat chance! If I want to jump, I’ll jump and if I don’t want to jump, I won’t jump.”
I was quite impressed that they all found their own way to do it though. In the end they realised, “Well she’s kind of hot, she’s kind of worth it.”
So they all stripped down — again, I love that she found another way to get the boys naked, thank you Sam Fro-Fro — and they all went for it.
Well, all of them except for Drew. But you know what? Harry Potter shouldn’t have to jump into a river to prove his love for her.

And it got him some one-on-one time. Very well played, Drew. And she even took him to the set of Hogwarts for it which showed she cared, she wanted him to feel at home.
I’m going to call it, but I think Harry Potter has a good chance of getting into top four. I think she may end up meeting the family and seeing, “This is my room under the stairs”. Insert your own Harry Potter jokes here.
Now onto the cocktail party and the rose ceremony. You know how Beyoncé has her alter ego Sasha Fierce? Sam has Fro-Fro Fierce. That moment she gave it to Blue Steel David after he had a go about why he thought she liked Michael was just amazing.
I totally get why she had a go at him. I would have probably given him both barrels and a little bit more.
Fro-Fro Fierce really did all the talking for us. She fronted up and said all of the things us girls watching at home wanted her to say. She was not afraid to say, “I don’t give a flying eff what you think.”
Hats off to her, I say.
He should have turned around then and there and said, “You know what, I really effed that up. I’m going to go. Sorry about that. Good luck with everything.”
I hope all the episodes get as intense as this one because that was just the best thing I’ve ever seen.
Osher is so much harder on the boys. He was kind of gentle with us girls.
With the guys he’s like, “You didn’t receive a rose — get out”. He’s so hardcore. “Don’t mess with my girl Sam, get out.” I’m going to start calling him Uncle Osher.
There is just one other thing I want to add before I sign off.
I want to sit Will down and explain to him about the zones.
I feel like I’ve got a little bit more understanding about how the zones work since having been on The Bachelor. And Will is not in the love zone, he is 100 per cent friend-zoned.
I want to start a hashtag for him which is #findWillahome. I feel like we can find him somewhere he belongs because he’s a beautiful man.
Fan favourite of The Bachelor 2015, Heather Maltman, will be recapping The Bachelorette every Thursday night at RendezView
To play Devil's advocate, Sam does have a football player dating history. Ben Stratton and Dane Rampe and likely many more, and attends events dressed in hello boys WAG-in-training attire.
True...and Michael's career is fringe and overstated apparently, but enough to fuel David's jealousy. Are soccer players' other halves even accepted into WAG-dom in Australia? lol

International model David did not hit it off with Sam.
HE DIDN’T get off to the best start on The Bachelorette when he told Sam he “didn’t ask to be a model”, but he certainly upped the ante by storming out of the cocktail party and telling her where she could stick her rose.
Thirty-one-year-old model David was the latest dude to be kicked off The Bachelorette on Thursday night, after a heated exchange with Sam in which he told her he was “actually reasonably happy not to receive a rose”. Ouch.

The ousting followed a tense conversation earlier in the night in which he suggested she was looking for a rich “baby daddy” and was attracted to Michael because of his professional football career.
A clearly unimpressed Sam fired back, telling him: “I am the last person on this Earth who would date someone for their status. That is the most offensive thing anyone can say about me.”

While news.com.au was told David himself wasn’t available for interviews (he’s probably busy being an international model, internationally somewhere), serial nice guy and ex pro-footballer Michael made himself available to set the record straight for him.
Michael told news.com.au David was simply misunderstood and was actually a nice guy at heart, even though he didn’t quite handle himself with the utmost amount of class.
So why did he decide that storming out and telling Sam he was glad to leave was the best way to exit?
“I think he panicked a bit,” Michael said. “I don’t feel like he would get rejected a lot so it was new to him and he didn’t know how to handle it. He went into meltdown mode and he lost a bit of pride. He knew that he wasn’t going to get a rose and he said it. I don’t condone that behaviour but I can understand why he did it and I can see where he was coming from.”
Michael said he and David actually hit it off in the house and he was the first guy he struck up a friendship with.
“If I could have been his wing man, I would have given him other advice and said, ‘Mate, don’t dig yourself into a hole, leave the honourable way, thank Sam and say, “It’s a shame it didn’t work out”’. I definitely would have advised him to leave on different terms,” Michael said.
Michael said he could understand why viewers at home would think David was a bit narcissistic, but added that the audience only got to see one side of him.
“I think he was certainly has those traits, they’re not arrogant traits, they’re his quirkiness. He’s a nice, genuine guy as well, he’s got lots of great things going for him, hence why we were quite close when we met,” Michael said.

David offends Sam on the second night.
“In his industry he’s told all the time that he’s good looking and if you keep hearing it you start to believe it. I just think in that environment he didn’t handle himself the best way he could have.”
It all sounds pretty decent coming from a man who had his grass cut by him when he swooped in and interrupted his one-on-one conversation with Sam. So how did he feel about David breaking the “bro code”?
“To be honest, I think if he was to cut in on anyone, I would be the best person for him to do it to. I feel like I was quite accommodating and downplayed the situation. I actually have a lot of time for David and it was a surprise to me. I wasn’t angry but I was caught off guard,” Michael said.
Michael wants women to know that David’s not the “jackass” he was made out to be and wasn’t planted by producers simply to stir the pot.
“David is someone I think who is looking for acceptance and is motivated guy,” Michael said. “I think he’s a genuine guy when you cut through all the glitz and the glam and he wants what all the guys want, someone to love him for him.
“He was there of his own accord, what you saw was real reactions and real pressure. He wasn’t planted at all. I can say with 1000 per cent certainty that he was not put in there for ratings.”
David said he wasn’t surprised to be sent home.
“I don’t feel like I’m at fault in any way,” he said. “I think I’ll just stay single for a while. Hopefully there’s someone out there that will want me.”
Well Sam has form dating sports guys, but I wouldn't consider him a soccer player really....he's a back up and not at all high profile.Maybe it's because I don't follow soccer all that closely but is being a professional soccer player in Australia really the big deal they're making it out to be? I was always under the impression that as a soccer player you need to leave the country to make it big.
I think the bigger point is that Michael is an attractive soccer player with game and that's what intimidated David the most.
Think he hit a nerve with Sam because she almost took it as a slight, that's the difference...I think she might have got shit previously for being a wag and was a bit defensive.O-kay? In every episode of the Bachelor or the Bachelorette I have ever seen, people cut in politely at the cocktail parties. It is normal behaviour within the show.
