The Bachelor Australia 2015

lana is definitely crying now. She is being a bit too generous about Sam I think, saying that she thinks his feelings towards her were genuine in the moment. Surely Sam knew he wasn't going to pick her while on the final date.

it might be a necessary part of the show that other girls have to get pulled along to the end but why does he have to be leading them on so strongly ... if he wasn't giving them all the right signals they would KNOW themselves that its just not there between them ... but he's deliberately strung them along ... at least the final 4 ... so that they DID believe the fairy tale and believed they were 'the one'

the fact he could play that part so convincingly makes him the lowest of the low ... the last girls should be able to walk away with their dignity intact ... but instead he almosts forces the declarations of love out of them - they were all thinking if they didn't do it they would be gone next ... HE made them think that ... and then never gave anything back EXCEPT that stupid grin. a few platitudes and a kick to the kerb

I hated that they were humiliated - having bared their souls on national TV ... and all he can do now is say he never felt anything for any of them all along - it was always Snez. ROTTEN STINKER!!!!

and as for being oblivious as to which finger he was putting it on ... what sort of a moron gives a ring like that and if not intending it to be an engagement ring puts it on THAT finger!?!?!

That contradicts what you previously wrote in another post. I'm confused.

so this happened 2 months ago - I realise its been hard having to cover it up and lie to everyone and pretend everything is apples BUT now she's crying? I'm sorry - I don't buy what they are selling.

At the end of the day the bach had to pick one. It's the height of arrogance, not to mention stupidity for not preparing for the most likely outcome, to presume each of them were destined to be picked by him ahead of the others and be this 'devastated' because he jilted them.

Not surprised they were talking about sex on the Kyle and Jackie O show. Kyle is obsessed with it.

But still.. we all knew Sam would be going there as soon as possible but no way would I be saying it in public. Priorities I guess?

Still.. they seem really happy and I hope it works out for them. I don't think they fully realise what a drama it's going to be with both her family and her daughter's father yet though. Can't fault him for not choosing the easy root (*cought* route) in all this though.
I think its icky - have a bit of decorum people!

or is THIS the easy route :angelic: ;) :p because people will understand when it doesn't work out - there are so many excuses (cough) I mean reasons why it could circle the drain ... he'll be the guy who at least tried to make it work but all HER issues will be the reason it didn't ...

That's what gets to me. i know it's a TV show and you have to create some sort of illusion, but there's no need to lie when it comes to people's emotions. Right up til the end Sam was telling the camera, and both Snez & Lana, that he was, or could easily be, falling in love with both of them. That's just bullshit, you know who you're falling in love with, it doesn't come down to a decision, you just know.

Watching it back would have made things like it happened all over again for Lana. It would be so hard having to talk about it.
Plus with Sam saying that there was never the spark would just sink that boot in a little more.

I feel for Lana. She wasn't my favourite on the show, but it's clear now that she wasn't just doing it as a publicity exercise, she's really invested emotionally.
OR is she playing it this way to garner a lot of sympathy and NOT be the loser in people's minds?

She is no stranger to publicity and social media ... she would know how to work it to come out ahead of the game. If the majority on SM have been saying she couldn't feel it or shouldn't feel it maybe she wants to show people she DID so she can turn opinion about her around.

I know she was hurt - and I DO feel for her - but she's had 2 months to get over it - of course this parading her around in the past week and especially yesterday and today is pretty cruel ...

I guess we didn't get that last year because there was the immediate shut down on publicity because of the whole debacle.[DOUBLEPOST=1442535327][/DOUBLEPOST]

yes - thats a low bastard move right there!!!

I'm always contradicting myself - I try not to be totally one-eyed about people and I change my mind

how did I contradict myself? from thinking he was a decent bloke at the start to realising he's a player at the end

I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt by thinking production would be making him do things a certain way - that's fair enough but he doesn't need to go to the lengths he did AND he certainly doesn't need to sink the boot in after the fact and say he never felt strongly towards the others - the bullshit was coming freely out of his mouth

and the bullshit was what was leading those final 4 women to believe in their relationship with Sam ... maybe with Sarah because of the awkwardness she would have a fair idea .. but both Heather and Lana got played big time

Yep, contrived soap opera using reality wannabes instead of actors. Glad you can see though the fake tears and drama crimmy. Lana is an excellent actress, I'll give her that. She should try her hand at acting and who knows a new career may open up for her. :D
actually I was doubting what the magazine was spouting ... for that to be in print they would have had to do the interview a few days ago at least - unless its online? (don't know - don't care - don't buy the magazines)
but now she's been dragged around yesterday which was bad enough in retrospect ... but today? that's just cruelty and rubbing in the humiliation

yes I still have major doubts about her motives and the depth of her feelings

but she's a human being ... so I'd still feel some sympathy towards her nevertheless ...

I guess only time will tell

I think it would be wise to hold back on the assumptions, if one was a contestant on this show - but in their defence, they have only their own experience with him in this hotbed situation, in which is he gazing intensely into their eyes, or pashing them with his hand on their bum, and saying over and over how wonderful they are, gazing at bit more, complimenting their amazing eyes, and laughing at their inane pleasantries etc etc. They don't get to see the other footage to weigh things up and get a more balanced view. Their feelings are all fucked around with by the intensity of the situation. (Just as with Big Brother.) Normal thinking flies out the door. And the poor things have hope.

All that said, I wish they'd do a Seniors Bachelor version! or a Mature-Age Bach... The Widower, perhaps, or it'd be a pool of dried-up players and/or confirmed bachelors...

I reckon he's just downplaying the other connections in the media now so Snez doesn't get pissed off. I thought there was clearly a spark between him and Lana. I don't think their bond was a great as the media told us, but there was absolutely something there.

Still though hearing it would be crushing for Lana...as would his "I only ever saw her as a friend" be to Heather after he'd told her the complete opposite.

He's backtracking now, and hurting the other girls more in the process.

He should have just said he had great connections with the other girls but felt more strongly for Snez. That's it. That's the concept of the show. He doesn't need to humiliate them by publicly saying there was never anything there after they've poured their hearts out.

I think most of our opinions on everyone changed depending on what we learned, what we were shown and bits and pieces from the after-show interviews. It's natural for reality tv, we can only judge by what we know at any given time. It may or may not be the actual reality of the situation but we process it as best we can :p
