Very few men care about what a woman does for a living or how much she makes. Other than the blatant toy boys (i.e Madonna and her numerous boyfriends who could've passed for her sons) who are few and far between, it isn't a phenomenon to the same degree that it is observed in females.

I can't comment on the men that have been selected to woo the heart of the bachelorette as I have no idea what motivates them. But I think it's fair to assume that since the bachelorette isn't rolling in money, gold digging would probably not be among the chief reasons for trying their luck on the show.

Sam Frost is getting paid 50,000 (supposedly) just for appearing on the show....
 
I think people go on these shows for all sorts of reasons - one of them being, hey, maybe they will meet a wonderful person to spend the rest of their lives with. Trista and Ryan! It can be done.

I went on Wheel of Fortune years ago, not because I really needed a new kettle but because I enjoyed watching the show then, I found it relaxing, and I decided to apply. They didn't pay me to go on it.

Some of these women want a long somewhat paid holiday, and the fun of being on TV, and maybe they can leverage the exposure to do something else, or like Sam Wood they are wanting to promote their small business ventures; and if they are hoping the guy chooses them, or they fall into some kind of coma out of housebound boredom and decide they love him, then that's all part of the experience. I am glad they go on it, for whatever reason, as I find it a really fascinating genre.

It's not the norm and probably the only way they could get her to do Bachelorette. The truth is that 10 need her for the ratings. People were upset when she got dumped by Blake and now the same people want to see her find love. They will be more invested in her than some random woman.

I think I read Sam wood is only getting $500 and something a week.

lol, totally!! I'm the same... just when I think I might have it sussed, I think maybe they edited to make it look that way.

Didn't Sarah have a dream and she said that's why she entered the show, maybe you are channelling her dreams hah
 
It must legit suck being a rich dude as any woman you date or the like just gets labelled a gold digger. 100% these women exist but occasionally women like other attributes of a guy beyond his salary.

Full credit to them I guess. I dream of a sugar mama but no way could I be with someone if I didn't love them and wasn't attracted to them.

This article sums up my own feelings about the contestants who sign up for this show whether they be female suitors competing for the 1 guy or vice versa. No self respecting sheila will ever be caught dead been on it, that's for sure.

It's bizarre to me that 20 or so females are unequivocally instantly attracted to this 1 male suitor they never laid eyes on before much less know anything about him. There's a word (2 actually) for girls like this but I'll keep it to myself this time so as not not cause offence. :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: If that makes me a misogynist than so be it. :angelic:

The problem is that it seems like other options for peoples daughters don't seem a lot better - Tinder is hardly where I would want a daughter of mine, if I had one, to be regularly frequenting either.

They said that last year too, I think it was Lisa and she spook out and denied it... they just aim to get suckers like me clicking on the article lol :shamefully:
