The Bachelor Australia 2015

Heather on 96.1, the edge.

She is obviously amazing!

She said that lana is a sweet girl and so funny, she also said along the lines of that people shouldn't blame her for her not being there, it's not in her.

She can't say who won but said thatSarah is such a beautiful girl.

The rest was just heather handling mikey really well.
I don't think we can assume that just because the final 2 in the rose ceremony were Heather and Lana that Lana is bottom or top or middle in Sam's list ... the producers tell him the order - that must be why he has an earpiece in ... I think the producers are now throwing Lana to the lions (again - another Sydney girl ... easy pickings for the Daily Mail??)

Heather had no agenda for gaining SM followers, repping products, going to opening of anything ... she's attended one event that the media got photos of - and they were off someone's phone they were not posed shots ... she hasn't courted attention ... she's turned up for interviews when asked but gone about her life otherwise.

She put a "Gone Fishing" sign up on her instagram four weeks ago and didn't post any more photos - she DID post a few funny quips or nice messages on other contestant's photos. Last night she finally puts up a photo with her friends and reassures us she's doing ok ... 6000+ likes and 1470+ comments and still counting.

this morning on the photo she commented:
  • heather_maltmanWow!!! Guys... Staaaap it!!!! Oh my god. I'm so emotional now. Just... Honoured. Thank you. And yes Amy, I would be honoured to be like a big sis. I love mine so much so. Yeah. You rule. This is better than watching an episode of Family Ties.

Do YOU see maturity in Lana?

I see it in Sarah much more so. I see her as being his best bet out of the three at a decent relationship - I think the other two both have their own needs out of the relationship - and neither one's first need is Sam.
At least Sarah was honest and upfront enough to tell him my timeline for kids etc seems different to yours but please don't make that the reason to end this

If he doesn't choose Snez they have BOTH put Eve in the headlights of the public ... and dragged her father's past & present into the headlights along with her. Unfair. Unwarranted. I think that any children involved should NOT be included in the filming - YES do the introduction - YES explore that ... but not in front of cameras and not for public consumption.

If a grandparent is not allowed to take a photo of her grandchild at swimming pool on their first swimming lesson (happened to a co-worker - staff came over and told her NO photos allowed ) HOW is this exposure ok for Eve?
I honestly think people are mistaking Lana's guarding of her heart for her actual personality.
I mean, yeah she's a little rich girl so I get a slight entitled vibe but I think she's just not putting herself fulling into Sam and obviously, for good reason!
It means I might be able to watch the last 2, Sarah is going to be hard but again, I think Sarah has still kept herself guarded as well.

I think for me it's difficult to root for Lana over the other girls because she doesn't seem all that invested in Sam to me. I do think she's invested, but for me personally I'm getting a vibe that it's more a competitive thing and wanting to make up ground. I've yet to see any "real" moments there...and by real I mean the way we become flustered and put our foot in it or do or say something cringey when we really like someone. Now either she's absolutely perfect and can come up with the right things to say even when her feelings would be making anyone else lose it a bit, or it's a lot easier to remain composed and do and say all the right things because she doesn't have the weight of emotions and feelings there.

Now that's not Lana's fault at all, and of course the reduced time would be an impact on that, but I just can't bring myself to be happy seeing her come in and win over Sarah or Snez who will be genuinely heartbroken (as Heather was). Even though Sam is really the only "prize" here - I still don't want to see them crushed. Obviously one of them is going to get heart broken anyway, but I think it'll be even harder to watch if they both get beat out by someone that I don't think is all that invested in Sam as a person.

Ach...so how long does heartbreak take to get over?

I feel sad that Heather thinks that Sam dumped her because she doesn't have a traditional family.

I also read that she didn't feel comfortable being sexual/romantic in front of the cameras so that explains things a bit.

I think if Sam is going to choose the path of least resistance he will choose Sarah. She is the one that will slot into his life the easiest.

I can't warm to Lana. She is too much of a poser on social media for me. Although maybe that means her and Sam are a good match.

I can't see things working out long term if he chooses Snez. There are too many complications, although I am happy to be proven wrong on that one.

The producers totally tell Sam who they want as the last 2 girls standing.

I don't believe Heather DOES think that though - I think that's the angle the magazines are pushing but its bullshit.

Yep but the thing is. We have seen with other interactions and rose ceremonies that when he knows, he knows.

So he should have done it earlier and nicer.
But look I doubt he could control the Rose ceremony he may have insisted and they refused.
It was a bachelorette moment.
True, he should've done it earlier, but as he came across as having a more friendship with her than anyone else, it couldn't have been easy to say ciao for now.

The sting of her shock elimination hasn’t yet left Bachelor contestant Heather Maltman, who admits she fell in love with leading man Sam Wood.

The Sydney filmmaker was considered a favourite to win Wood’s heart from episode one, when she was given the coveted white rose for making a lasting impression on the personal trainer.

The couple’s chemistry was a key storyline of the season until Wood suddenly sent Maltman packing last night after the all-important hometown dates, just a week shy of the finale.

Despite glossy magazine reports suggesting Maltman was planted on the show as a paid actress, she toldAAA she had genuinely fallen for the hunk, together right, and was blindsided by her elimination.

“I definitely had real emotions there and it took me a bit of time after I left the mansion to let go of the hurt,” the 29-year-old admitted.

“I am not actually hurt any more, I am just sad.

“Watching it back, it reminds me how much I felt for him and how much I really liked him.”

Also a challenge for Maltman was reading media reports pinning her as the show’s winner after comments she made in passing were twisted to indicate she was still seeing Wood on the sly.

“There were moments where it has been really difficult because people have taken things I said out of context, which led people to think he would definitely pick me,” she said. “It was like a little heartbreak.”

Sam Wood and Heather Maltman on The Bachelor

Moving on from the reality TV experience, Maltman revealed she started dating a man soon after the series finished filming but the romance was now over.

"I think the show has made me realise how to tell whether a guy is really into me or not,” she said.

“I have learnt a lot about who I am, who I want in my world and who I can trust.

“I did have feelings for this guy for a brief period but I realised he wasn’t the right guy for me.”

As for who Maltman thinks will be the last woman standing on next week’s Bachelor finale, she said it was hard to pick between the three remaining contestants — WA mum Snezana Markoski, event manager Sarah Mackay and intruder Lana Jeavons-Fellows.

“The person who would challenge him in all the right ways and they would learn a lot from each other is probably Sarah,” she said

With regards to ANY of these girls being the next Bachelorette, I kind of think they have the timings wrong.

For instance, Sam Frost as bachelorette should have been done before this season of the Bachelor.

I don't know if any of these girls would even be available by the time the next Bachelorette comes around but I do think that another season of Bachelorette should be done before the next Bachelor - and then pick the next Bachelor from them as people are already invested in them.

I think they need to see how the first series ends up rating PLUS can't imagine Heather wanting to do it. She's laid herself bare and had her heart broken on national TV - why put herself through the angst - probably by then the furore would be long forgotten in the media only to have it whipped up again ... I don't want Heather remembered as "Poor Heather" ... I personally feel she's "Lucky Heather" ... time will tell how the end result relationship lasts ... something tells me that if Sam is too invested in his business and not willing to be arm candy out and about on the social whirl that Lana and Snez would lose interest ... I think Sarah would be his best bet if he's really wanting long term.

plus - imagine the field day Warwick would have ... fresh meat!! wooooohooooooooooooo ... starting to wish it WOULD happen lol

I think if she was, as least she would be the one calling the shots, but it is a risk for sure. There's no guarantee that someone right for her would be amongst the guys.

As far as Sam goes, I think that if he was with Snez it'd be a tough road ahead unless he decided to move there. I can't see it lasting if she was forced to pick up and move away from her family and Eve's father (even if she would like to herself).
I'm not sure that he and Lana really know each other enough at this point for him to make that decision, they don't know the little idiosyncrasies of each other and haven't had any really raw moments, everything is still in best behaviour wow your eyes are nice mode (if he did pick her obviously they've spoken since but it's not the same as being with someone)

So yeah I do agree that for it to last long term Sarah's probably best for him.

Haha everyone at work today is deadset depressed about the Bach.
I'm with them ... just feel so deflated seeing that happen to her
NOONE deserves to be blindsided on national tv though and I'm really not liking this final part ... its not as if I'm going to cheer if I see someone who I'm not that invested in now sent home ... I'll be feeling sad for all of them

just caught up...firstly I don't understand the outcry of Heather leaving, to me it was obvious that they were just going to be friends. Heather seemed to of handled the situation better than half of Australia! lol. She will be fine and I believe she will be the next bachelorette if willing to be.

Ok so from last nights episode I think Snez is the one, he seems so much more into her than the rest. I predict Snez and Lana final two.

The point is that it wasn't obvious to her and he should have made it obvious by sending her home earlier. Like he did with Jacinda and Bec. Don't bring a friendzoned person to final 4 when she thinks everything is going well (she made it obvious she was feeling safe and secure with him), that's just not right. Also he didn't say sweet things to Jacinda and Bec or kiss them, he shouldn't have done with Heather either if he truly wasn't feeling it - maybe give it a go to suss things out and confirm if there is something there, but no need to do it throughout the show.

It's just how they did it, or how Sam did it.
Meeting families, you'd know, you really would but I suppose this is a show and everyone knows what they sign up for.
Just think Sam could have been a bit more upfront with her and sent her home a more respectful way.

I think he and Snez look super cozy and like an established couple already whenever they're together, but the reality of the situation and its accompanying challenges may be too much for him, so then he may pick Sarah because she's in Melbourne and it's so easy and convenient (I think he's said that at least 3 times during the course of this show?) or he may go for Lana because she's more likely to move to Melbourne.

But then again Lana has said that she is closest to Sarah and Heather (not sure if this extends to outside of the mansion and after filming?) so maybe that means it's Snez after all...

It's the nature of the show and Heather will be fine, but she was blindsided so obviously she didn't see the just going to be friends thing, and Sam was definitely giving her the impression that there was more. People are upset because they like her and wanted her to be the last one standing and even if they didn't, to see her obviously hurting wasn't nice. She will be fine, of course, especially now she won't have people at her all the time assuming she's won.
