This instagram post from Sarah the other day had me thinking she might be the winner. I mean would you brag about getting 3 dates if you didn't win the man?
 
Sarah is really nice and Sam clearly likes her enough to give her 3 single dates. But for some reason the chemistry they have isn't speaking to me through the screen. Same with Lana. Doesn't mean that it isn't there, but I just get stronger vibes of closeness when he's with Snez or Heather. But things could change. Perhaps Sarah is the only one who confesses that she's falling in love and that could change everything?

I don't think Sam is the type of person to give three dates to a person for merely liking then enough. There must be something more than that.

Sarah really hasn't been given a winners edit though has she? I feel for her if she is the winner, because the producers haven't shown the audience her as much as some others to have built as much fanbase and approval. I do think she has some appealing characteristics for Sam - easy-going (doesn't bitch about the others really) yet sophisticated, lives in Melbourne, wants to travel, is career focused.... she is kind of a mix of the other three in the things he likes in them. Their last date did have some chemistry in the kiss.

I haven't seen the screen-cap talked about but observing when watching it will be interesting to see why Heather goes if she goes 4th. Sam's eyes often gravitate towards her at the cocktail evenings and group dates. I also think she is one of few that he really seems to have got past the small talk stage with. I know we don't see all the date but the conversations with Lana seem very superficial (not in depth on topics, very first date small talk) And Sarah not much more even after three dates!

My bias is towards Heather I guess because I think any decent relationship that is going to last requires a friendship as well and chemistry, and they do seem to have that. From what they have shown they make each other genuinely laugh.

I am being that typical over analyser aren't I! lol
 
I think people pay more attention to who they like.
I see a bond between Heather and Sam (which was established when they opened up to each other).
But whether that is love remains to be seen, compared to the other girls I don't think it's that special.

I take his eyes gravitating because Heather is insecure and has an emotive face and Sam does care about her regardless of the nature of their relationship.
Friendship is the basis to a lasting relationship but if you aren't attracted to somebody it won't change.
 
Of all the girls I think Sam wants it to work with Sarah the most. He's very against leaving Melbourne with his business and he knows their worlds have the best chances of meshing.

He's giving the relationship a lot of chances to get there. He said in Woman's Day that he feels she hasn't opened up enough for him to really get to know her yet but he's giving her a lot of opportunities to with the 3 single dates. Also I can see their chemistry improving.

The only thing I thought was going against him and Sarah was the 10 year age gap. Sarah said she wants to have her own business by the time she's 30 and wants to spend a few years travelling with her partner before considering kids while Sam originally seemed like he was thinking family much sooner in the future than her. His comments to Lana about wanting to travel the world change that a bit though I think. He and Sarah could be a much better match than I originally thought providing Sam was happy to put settling down on hold for a few years because Sarah clearly has a lot of ambitions that I wouldn't want to see her drop.

No. It is very good to analyze. Can help to clarify things and thoughts. Order and method. I just don't think Sam places that much importance on the friendship factor.

Seriously though I wonder if this time next year we will be discussing Sam and partner... The relationship shelf life for these shows is not good.

He seems happy with his choice so far...but its early days!! The stats from bachie in america is pretty bad! I think BBAU2014 has had more successful relationships than all of the Bachelors in the US!

You know what's funny? I thought this was always the case too, until the guy I ended up marrying, who I was friends with and had zero attraction to for a long time before we even started dating, crept the fuck up on me. We'd spent a lot of time together as friends and there came a time where the penny just dropped, I fully realised how amazing he was and he became so freaking attractive in my eyes I couldn't even think about anyone else.

Obviously that's not the case for Sam and Heather. Different people and don't have the time frame I did...Sam just has to make gut decisions based on attraction very quickly...but that comment made me laugh because I thought the exact same thing until I was blindsided lol.

would be easy to be happy at the moment - its all secrecy and whispers and long phone calls and remembering back on romantic dates ... eventually it will be day to day work/life balance and normality ...

if he DOES pick Sarah in the end I hope the convenience factor was NO factor at all - for her sake.

If it IS Sarah wow she's gotten off easy with no media trailing her. She's photographed with others all the time at the opening of an envelope but no stalker pics at all.

Apart from their kiss on the last date their interaction hasn't really been in depth so I too hope that if Sam picks her it's not for convenience.

Haha yeah I do understand it does happen (my girlfriend isnt my usual type!)
I think he was attracted to her from the beginning but whether the intensity is still there...
Then again maybe the friendzone edit is a load of crap:p
