Even before her shock departure on Wednesday night's episode of
The Bachelor Australia, Emily Simms has been doing her best to clear her 'villain' profile, claiming she has been unfavourably edited to look like a princess.
yeah we were shocked to know exactly what was going to happen at least 3 days BEFORE the show aired ... and yet Heather's date was a complete surprise to us
But Sam Wood disagrees, and speaking to
Fox FM's Fifi and Dave
on Friday, revealed he thinks the brunette is ‘living in denial’ if she believes she isn’t like her on screen persona.
Regardless, the 35-year-old added that he hopes she can ‘become a better person' for the experience.
No holding back: Sam Woods has hit back at Emily Simms, speaking with Fifi & Dave on FoxFM on Friday he revealed that he thinks Emily is ‘living in denial’ if she believes she isn’t like her on screen persona
‘I’m a massive believer that the way the girls are on the show is the way that they are and that comes out,’ he told the radio duo in the interview.
‘I believe Emily when she said that no one had ever said that to her,’ he continued, referring to the frosty exchange between himself and the brunette beauty in which he labelled her as ‘highly strung’ and ‘more glitz and glamour than the girl I would typically fall for.’
I didn't see that as an insult though - its just an observation and him being honest with her ... some guys might be intimidated by her ...
The personal trainer went on to say that he thought the advertising executive was ‘living in denial’ if she believed her portrayal on the show was in any way inaccurate.
‘I guess you could take that one way or another – you can learn from it and cop it on the chin or you can live in denial for the rest of your life and still believe that that’s not true,’ he expressed.
sing it Bachie!!!
‘I really do feel like she is the way she is portrayed on the show.’
Shock exit: Since her shock departure on Wednesday night Emily Simms has been doing her best to clear her name, claiming she has been unfavourably edited and made out to be the shows villain and princess
TV Week earlier this month that she believes she has been edited to appear the 'mean girl' on the reality series.
'I'm not like that at all!' she said, 'They've made me out to look like a b***h!'
'I copped a lot of bullying in high school, so I'm the last person to make others feel terrible,' Emily insisted, explaining that she moved schools three times due to physical and verbal abuse.
The now-reality TV starlet claims her comments have been taken out of context across the show and edited to make her 'sound really arrogant and I'm not like that at all'.
Emily later added on social media: 'Just because someone rubs you up the wrong way, doesn't make you nasty.'
Emily departed The Bachelor without pausing for a second glance as she stormed straight past Sam
'Not once did I have a cross word with anyone in that house. When asked, I would always say how I felt, but never would I ever be malicious or nasty to another person.'
She departed The Bachelor without pausing for a second glance as she stormed straight past Sam after being left beside her arch rival Nina Rolleston during Wednesday night’s rose ceremony.
Her final words said it all with the stunner, stained with tears, telling cameras: 'It actually makes me sick that I'm leaving before Nina, I'm actually sick about it'.
Having noticed that Emily and motoring enthusiast Nina weren't getting along on last week's go-karting challenge, Sam brought it up ahead of their rose ceremony.
'You're fixated on that stuff,' he told her much to her surprise and disagreement.
'You're very bothered, you let these things really get in your head and it doesn't let me see the Emily that I could fall in love with,' he confessed.
don't worry Sam - it wasn't there to find
Arch rivals: After being left beside Nina Rolleston during Wednesday night’s rose ceremony, Emily's final words said it all: 'It actually makes me sick that I'm leaving before Nina, I'm actually sick about it'
Repeating something he hinted to viewers last week, the personal trainer went on to inform Emily that his feelings for her have been yoyo-ing for quite some time.
'There are times when I just, I do have doubts,' he said.
'You are someone I can't work out, I do go up and down.'
Emily couldn't have been more shocked and appalled by his revelations, and turning away clearly unimpressed said: 'Ok...'
'I've never had anyone say this to me before, it's really baffling to me because I'm such an open book,' she said.
'You either like me as I am or you don't.'
Dramatic exit: Sam referred to Emily’s departure as ‘the most intense period of the whole show'
Not his type: Sam described Emily as ‘more glitz and glamour than the girl I would typically fall for'
While meaning to set the record straight, Sam dug the knife in further by adding: 'I'm not saying I don't like you, I'm just saying there are times when I don't know how well we're suited.
'I feel like you are a little bit highly strung and more so than I think that you think you are.
'I'm a bit of a goof, and I don't see you [as one]. I feel like sometimes you're a bit more glitz and glamour than the girl I would typically fall for.'
you can't fault Sam in this conversation for his honesty
'Honest when it’s needed': Sam - who hasn’t held back from being completely honest and upfront about his feelings on the show – told Fifi and Dave that he prides himself on his judge of character
