Talk to Timdormer (yes it's really me)

@Timdormer I know you have worked in media previously, do you think that appearing on Big Brother helped advance your career or do you worry that you'll always be known as 'Tim from Big Brother?' Also, do you think that winning Big Brother was more advantageous (if you take away the prize money) than, say, coming runner-up or even getting evicted earlier?
 
Hi, Tim. I'm an American, and that means our Big Brother isn't the same as your Big Brother. In fact, our BB could be best described as "modified Survivor in a house". It just pales in comparison to your country's version.


Mom and I enjoyed watching your season. Dad couldn't get into it, but he's too busy following Brigham Young University sports. We tried watching the 2004 season, but Mom couldn't get into it after the 2nd day. I tried watching the 2005 season, but there were too many casual conversations and not enough action. I thought that season would be exciting because of the "million-dollar drawing account" twist, and that didn't seem to do it. We both like the competitions on the US version, but hate the constant nom talk.

Here are a few questions:

1) Do you watch the American version on YouTube or elsewhere?
2) How well do you think you would do if you were a contestant on the American version? (two HMs put up for eviction by Head of Household, Power of Veto challenge, HMs evict)
3) Aside from your season, which seasons would you recommend for an American who wants to get into BBAU?
4) Do you think you could talk Leon Murray into coming to America to be our "Deputy Big Brother"? We really need one.

Hey @Timdormer you seem to be a producers best friend helping them with loads of content. I have a sneaky suspicion that you are involved in 2014 BB in more ways than one!

thanks! Yes I've met Michael a few times, we got on fine! but I have heard he was pretty horrid to me while I was on the show. I don't hold that against him.[DOUBLEPOST=1410165325][/DOUBLEPOST]

I went on Big Brother not only because it was my favourite TV show, but more so because I was being knocked back for jobs in radio and TV because I wasn't "household name". I knew big brother would give me a dirty tag, but I believe life is what you make it and I've done pretty good out of it. Hard work though! And no I don't believe in any winners curse, as long as the winner was the most entertaining in there.
 
...I have just spent hours upon hours of time reading the whole 46 pages of this thread from beginning to end ONLY because you are on it Tim!!!!... mate you're a legend!... you are my most favourite housemate ever to be 100% truthful... and I have to personally thank you for being such a great subject for me in last years 'Photoshop' thread!... I had the most fun with you as my prime housemate to Photoshop!... (don't worry... all of them that I did about you were good for you that I remember lol!)...

...have you had time to look at it yet?... if not... if you ever do... can you give myself and all the other 'Photoshoppers' some feed-back on what you think of any of them?... just asking... it just lets us know if what we're doing is good fun or not?... mind you... quite a few of them are not too complimentary for a few of the other housemates and maybe a couple of yourself by others lol!... so be prepared for a wild ride...

Ah Tim, I was a huge fan of yours and one of your biggest defenders during the season. Thrilled you won and thrilled I still occasionally get to see you and your luscious locks pop up randomly on the Sidebar of Shame while I hate-browse the Daily Mail. ;) I only hope there is someone this year who understands the game and the show as well as you did. We always speculated you must have been a member here, you just fit the BBB ideal of a perfect HM too well! A belated congrats on a great game, and I hope to see you around on the forums!

Thanks for answering my question, I do have another if you don't mind; Since coming out of Big Brother you have done quite a few media appearances, TV gigs etc. How have the people who work in media in a more traditional sense treated you? Has anyone looked down on you or have they treated you as an equal? By the way, I wish you all the best and can understand that working in media is no walk in the park (I work in media in China, so I know it's not all smiles and giggles.)
