Talk to Timdormer (yes it's really me)

i knew ben was the original intended winner (confirmed recently to me), what had gone wrong? had australia forgotten to vote because they thought he was safe? was there a cover up considering his fragility, i will never know. all i know is that night $250k went from bens hands into mine.
What do you mean it was "confirmed" he was the original winner?

I mean, in the reality shows of today we all understand that there is always that one person the producers very clearly push towards the end from the start, via means of how they edit or the amount of air time they give somebody (i.e. Harrison Craig on The Voice was highly featured in all promos of his season right from the get-go), and Ben was definitely very obviously shown very prominently last year on BB too (much like Bradley was in BB09). Obviously this is extremely unfair to other contestants and (in my opinion) something that should be highly highly avoided at all costs - especially when it comes to a show like Big Brother - but clearly it still happens.

Naturally, I feel that with a series like BB, the producers' favourite rarely sees the Finale (with Ben being an example of this) as it actually causes a backlash of sorts. What I believe goes (and went) wrong for Ben is that it becomes overkill. The public seem to start going against a certain character if they get too much air-time, simply because it gets annoying - and painfully obvious. That's the problem with the producers picking faves on a show like Big Brother. Given that we see you guys constantly and judge whether you stay or go based on how you act and what we are seeing of you, as soon as a HM does or says something wrong (even if it's the smallest thing) you may pay the price by being evicted solely due to one little mishap. The same goes for the way the crew edit you. Evidently, Ben and Bradley are both recent examples of this happening and working against the producers' favour.

So again, can I ask what you are referring to when you say that Ben indeed was the intended winner, by fact? The producers were willing to continue editing him in a positive light to get him to the end??

Exactly. I wish they wouldn't shove a "favourite" down our throats. Ultimately we decide who we like or not and the producer's favourites aren't going to win the show because we can see through it. :writing:;)

Damn it! :P Twice now I've missed out on having questions answered - and I was particularly curious about that first one, haha! (*cough* Page 11, Tim!)

That'll teach me for writing essay length posts!!

Livesteams (Not a live feed!), might help this.

HAHAAHA i know, i started typing then thought i deleted it. one of the guys had a really big penis. and one of the girls had a fat hamburger vagina. hahahaa.
I thought on an episode of LNF I heard one of the sugar sisters say something like "he has a really big..." the sound was kind of muffled out after that, all while drew was doing a nudie run, just sayin:-/

yeah great observation. i wasn't as sad the first time round because ben and i had had a bit of a disagreement. i had asked him to stick up for me in a fight because i knew he was on my side, but he refused. i questioned just how close we were and was he just a selfish player and not a friend. i decided for a short while i needed a break from him. when he was fake evicted i didn't cry until the next night when i started to realise i missed him. i dunno if this is hindsight, but i had a feeling something wasn't right. i laid on his bed and pretended he was still there for a few hours until i was interrupted by big brothers announcement that he was returning! the second (real) time he was evicted i was shattered. that was possibly the most genuine i have ever felt in my life. i knew ben was the original intended winner (confirmed recently to me), what had gone wrong? had australia forgotten to vote because they thought he was safe? was there a cover up considering his fragility, i will never know. all i know is that night $250k went from bens hands into mine. lucky we are best mates now. and i love him depsite his selfishness, and he does likewise to me.

Thanks for that reply. I was annoyed you and the others didn't get to see him when he returned during the Christmas task. It was good Drew saw him, but you were closer to Ben than Boog was.

Oh and yeah, the rage was everywhere basically when he left for real. Still stumped how it happened. Though I think it was a case of him having high saves previous weeks, and people just thought he was a big fave and he was least likely to go according to the bookies and so forth, that people just felt they didn't need to vote for him as he was safe for sure. Though that's why Drew and Jade nominated him too I think. Thinking he was a sure thing to stay, and if he was up someone else would more likely go. People who just didn't like you or Ben for whatever reason were completely shocked as well seeing you and him sitting on the eviction seat as it was pretty much assumed you'd both be at the end.

Oh and I just remembered. There was this little clip that made it to the big brother website (but not TV show) showing you and ed one night pretending to be bb ninjas, and telling the other housemates to get by the eviction doors. Drew looked really concerned too. How did that come about and how did it end? All we really saw was you and ed directing them to the doors, but don't know at what point they found out you weren't for real.

GRRRRRR!!! you have no idea how much i do and don't care at the same time. i don't take anything personally but why are people so quick to judge? why not just ask me! i LOVE a good heated debate/conflict...its all about resolution people!! the biggest problem with the world i believe is ignorance. and I'm not immune to it! I used to say it in the house all the time and i;ll say it to you all now... if you have a problem/question about something I've said or done ASK QUESTIONS. or just rack off. just don't judge without finding out the full story. I LOVE being proved wrong and apologising where appropriate.

Champion!

omg you never heard about the watermelon day?? we went through a stage of taking turns to host a sunday afternoon activity to pass time on the boring weekends in the house. it was totally our idea as housemates and we would ask big brother for any supplies we might need, sometimes he would agree, most of the time he wouldn't. one of the best was the watermelon day when we spent the afternoon doing a whole bunch of watermelon challenges, seed spitting comps, dress your watermelon, fastest eating, and helmet carving. Then one of my favourite memories happened! we all jumped in the pool wearing our watermelon helmets dancing when all of a sudden ben nearly died. we thought he was just awkwardly dancing at first, then we realised he was struggling. his giant watermelon helmet had fallen over his entire face so he was trapped and couldn't see or breath. we struggled for like a minute to try get it off his head laughing. i will never forget his face when we finally got it off, so scared with little bits of watermelon all over his head. hahahahaha.

in terms of ads recorded in the house? no all that jump in stuff was filmed during lockdown.[DOUBLEPOST=1408882087][/DOUBLEPOST]
that wasn't tactical. i would be happy to admit it if it was. i actually was cracking. boog would say some pretty mean stuff.

THIS IS SOOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!! I can not remember this being shown!
