Been thinking about the premier, and looking forward to the next episode.
On Brains, Liz, Peter and Neal were all shown as clever, but they all had a sort of negative aspect to them as well. Peter, from his first line, was conceited. Liz seemed competent, but very negative and a bit snarky. It wouldn't surprise me at all if her comment about Joe being medevaced foreshadows her own injury. And Neal, organises this Younger and Cuter alliance, talks about how no one would flip, but they don't show Aubry talking about it. They do, however, show Aubrey being comforted by Debbie, and Joe giving her fatherly advice - and she seems to offen be in the background of shots, with the older ones. As Joe says to her 'It's exciting when you get to the end,' I think Aubrey will go with the older ones over the younger. She had her meltdown, but Jeff made a point of saying she was great in the challenge, so it wasn't meant to be too negative. I'm guessing it is a girl winner this season, because Jeff hasn't mentioned anywhere how great this season is or what a satisfying winner or anything, and he only ever really likes the alpha males.
Beauty tribenhas the best alliance - the three girls, all of whom were shown to be good players. Michelle had a great first confessional and intro (with the guys talking about her,) even if she then sort of faded out. Anna, despite the boobs thing, came off well, and Anna was afforded a really good confessional too. These three will go far and be a dominant alliance, with one of the guys, possibly. And to be honest, the top Beauty contender is Beastmode. He was given a hero edit - the Big Brother legacy painted him as loyal, the girls talked about him well, his own confessionals were given heroic music; basically, nothing negative at all. Nick was shown to be a doofuss, and Tai was mixed - he started well, but messed up because of the idol. He may play himself out of this.
Over on Brawn, Jason had the best edit. He was shown to be strong, competitive, but also to be a loving family man, doing it for his kids. Scot, though, just values Brawn, and he may pay. Alecia has definite goat-ential. She got the classic 'first boot' edit, but didn't go home. I guess because if she did, then it would be Scot and Jason's pair vs Darnel and Cydney, with Jennifer able to chose sides. This way, Alecia is a pawn, and Jennifer has nowhere of strength to go except with the boys.
So, I predict the Beauty girls and Jason doing well, and Aubrey bringing down the Brains alliance.
