New season of Survivor starts September 18th (19th in Australia on GO! 8:30pm)

Survivor: Blood vs. Water is the upcoming twenty-seventh season of the American CBS competitive reality television series Survivor, which will premiere on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. The season will feature returning castaways and their family members competing against each other.

Anyone else as excited as I am? I'm hoping there are a few other fans around here so I have someone to discuss the season with :rolleyes:
 
Not a fan of most of the returning players but hopefully they exceed my expectations

From what I can see of the cast, speculating wildly, I can see a bro alliance in the newbies tribe, of Vytas, Mr Candice, Caleb, Hayden with maybe Tyson's cool girlfriend, and them being pretty unbeatable. I think the winner will be one of them. They will be too useful to get rid of early on, although they will be big targets after the merge. But not as big as the returnees. And I think the jury would favour a family member over a favourite.

Amungst the 'favourites' I can see Aras, Gervaisse, and Tyson getting together. Aras was blah on the show, but he is great in interviews etc. Check out his chat with Parvati from last season (on the CBS website) and, especially, his appearances on RHAP. Tyson is good value too. I hate Candice, and cannot understand why she has had 3 goes. Would not surprise me if she, or Colton, were the first to go. Colton, too, is much better in podcasts and things now than he was on his season, and he could surprise. He seems to have learnt his lesson in the most public way possible - like Jade and (hopefully) Tully are about to do. Rupert was cool enough on Pearl Islands, but too much otherwise. I don't like his chances. I think these three will go early, leaving bros and older women, and Kat, who was dumb, but I am intrigued by Hayden.

Judging from what's been spoiled re: elimination order & final 3, the returnees actually form the top few left. I was never a fan of Candice, I think Colton was a little bitch and I was glad to see him go (but hopefully he does surprise like you said), Rupert has already returned about 5 million times and I'm getting sick of seeing him. Most of the others are just blergh. I didn't like Tyson on Tocantins but I respect that he did bring a bit of attitude and mix-up to the show and I'm looking forward to seeing what he's like this season. Monica is probably one of my favourites as she was strong in her original season but drew the short straw when it came to forming alliances and was unfortunately eliminated too early :(
 
Love Survivor, but get tired of seeing the same people over and over again. :p Would rather watch a whole new cast. Definitely, will be rooting for the new blood.
 
Any early pics for a winner?

Pre-game, I will go with Aras, Vytas, Hayden and Rachel for final four. Maybe Rachel to win.
 
I'll be watching this. Will be interesting to see what twists the family connections bring.
 
Rachel or Vytas FTW. Hope that Kat annihilates herself at the beginning, I really don't want to see her go that far again.
 
Love Survivor.....and some wimpy BB watchers should view and get a reality grip, this is where you see real bastards and psychos and it's awesome.

But what a lot of shitty returnees, most never even registered.
I like Kat, colton is good to watch, and dickhead Rupert is fun to watch in the water. The rest, I can remember a couple Tina shouldn't have won, Candace, meh.

And any Americans in this thread remember NO SPOILERS, sweetie!

You have to wait until it's been screened here, mere hours apparently.
 
I'm looking forward to catching this!! As you say kxk, reading through the cast I don't know who half of them are - shows either how memorable they were(n't) the first time or how fucking old I am :)

Don't care, it'll add a different element to the game, a big loyalty thing will come into play - presumably.

I would also like to see a game with a bunch of never been, never watched, never been tested bunch of people as well.

I LOVE this show.

Nobody ever dare open their mouth when I'm watching :) :) I'm a little OTT with it.
 
I was never really a fan of Redemption Island I hope they've improved it for this season. I'm so excited this is on!!! I already feel like Colton is up to his dirty old tricks, he's totally going to screw over Monica again. If he was smart he wouldn't because she's strong
 
so many nobodies, I was hoping for a few more of my favourites. I'm sure it will still be good.
 
Colton & Kat are both good to watch

I only like RIsland when I wanted Boston rob to win
