So...Back In 2015?

Fighting over the status of Big Brother being renewed or not or the moving to another network is ridiculous.

Let people speculate whatever they want to.
Maybe Big Brother will be set in outer space next year? Who really cares about crazy speculation? I thought this place was somewhere where we could talk about anything and everything "Big Brother"? Unless one of the admins or moderators tell us to shut up we should be able to discuss what we want and not get dictated by one guy who passes his time trolling for lols.

But if Big Brother is going to be set up in outer space then how will it be possible for one of the housemates to be a bird? Caw caw!

I don't know they will probably put one of those monkeys on the show instead?
They have been known to space travel from time to time.

Oh yeah, a monkey could be a good housemate. What other animals do you think would make good housemates? Elephants? Tigers? I'm not just talking about if they put big brother in outer space, but if they just put big brother in its regular spot.

Simple..."celebrity big brother"...International guest, Michael Keaton

Problem solvered

Alternatively, as celebrity BB's have failed to rate as highly as traditional version, you have a

"past housemate BB", and ensure Reggie is there

Repeat, problem solvered.

So let me get this right.

Everyone is asking is Big Brother coming back or not.

Channel 9 had till the first week of February to sign the contract. Did they sign the contract or not ??
The latest information I have they did not sign. I have tried to get confirmation and my contacts aren't answering me.

Lots of Big Brother Crew are working on Pirates 5 and other movies. I'm a Celebrity UK has been signed on again and lots of crew will be working on that as well.

Where does that leave Big Brother Australia. You ask, well Channel 10 and Foxtel are currently looking at it, but there is also talk that it could become Internet based and not even on TV.

This is what I have heard as no one will confirm any details.

I wonder how much sponsorship they would have to work in to make that viable?

"Housemate name, you have five Ambi Pur Nomination points. Who do you nominate first and why?"
They could also host the Eviction shows inside a KFC restaurant so that the host can say: "It's time to go to KFC..."

Well channel 10 should know if they don't that it would get a lot of ratings, at least for launch I guess because it IS on channel 10 but they would have to do something like no other season before haha and make it good again

Even then I think the general population are just over BB... Channel 10 milked it dry the last time they had it and Nine's reboot pretty much stomped on any potential BB still had... Let's be honest here... What could Channel 10 do that hasn't been done a million times before? It's just a little too late as improved story telling and a revival of some form of live feed can really only do so much... The brand is tainted... Channel 10 are better off reformatting the show and marketing it under a new name... Especially if Peter Abbott is going to be involved... Ideally I'd like to see an element of strategy and game-play built in to the new format while still allowing the viewers to make an impact...

For those that haven't seen this here's a rundown of my modified BBUS format:

HM's compete each week for Head of Household
Head of Household nominates 3 HM's for possible eviction
The public vote to save one nominee
The remaining HM's vote to evict 1 of the remaining 2 nominees

Yeah but they can always do something new too, since hopefully they wont be copying the UK all the time.
It is tainted but you can always filter it out

and if you think its milked and blah blah why are you on these forums anyway? Well, the Australian ones
oh well do what you like I'm not going to go argue with anyone again I'm over that haha

...because he enjoys discussing the show?
Like, he does raise some very good points. The brand does have a pretty bad name.

The only issue I have with Kingston's suggestion of rebranding is that new reality tv concepts (which the show would be treated at, especially under a new name) have tanked in ratings lately in Australia. And I don't know if the new show (under a new name) would manage to stay afloat.

Ah, true I guess

Oh well, anyway I hope we get it back :) hopefully better then it was on 9 (not saying it was bad) but it can be even better

Dear @mistercat122 you want a smackdown here's a smackdown for you...

For one I'm not trying to argue with you... I actually only understood about 30% of your original post... And I was actually thought I was being "nice" in trying to engage you in conversation...

The "twists" however poorly executed they may have been during the Nine era have never really been its downfall... The fact that the 1st memory of BB prior to the Nine's revival was that the show lacked depth had a lot to do with it... Coupled with the fact that Nine's storytelling lacked the same thing... It was trash TV when Channel 10 dumped it and it became even worse when Nine revived it...

As I've said many times on these forums the excuse Alex and Nine gave regarding the live feed was nothing but a crock of shit... Hiring a content filter and putting the "live" feed on a slight delay would not have pushed the show's budget to extremes... Fans wouldn't have cared whether or not it was actually "live" or not... That is if content that was censored was actually "worth" censoring and not just holding content back for the sake of ratings... Any money that was actually saved was put towards things that really didn't matter such as remodeling the house year on year... Or other worthless stunts...

Also have you ever come to think that the reason BBUK was "copied" it might be because the ideas that come out of BBUK are actually worth repeating??? And your average Bogan (which makes up a HUGE portion of BB's average fan base) probably isn't exactly "up to date" with the goings on of BBUK either... That said BBUK's downfall in the past few years hasn't been for a lack of creative ideas either... I've never been one to give Alex praise but whenever he "copied" BBUK his take always put a unique favor on things... Jacob when have you EVER come up with an idea that has been at a level the show could actually use?

As someone who has posted here for over a decade and spent hours upon hours being discussing BB when I say that the show has reached its creative peak you better come back with something more than "they can always do something new"... If so... What??? If the general public aren't over BB then why have ratings declined so much? What reason do they have to tune in to a show to yet another revival?

The X Factor is essentially just a rebranding of Idol... And when it was relaunched on Seven the show didn't actually rate that well... However Seven gave it a chance and the show's audience has grown substantially... Let's be honest the way things are going at Channel 10 at the moment ratings are ratings...

In my opnion I think easily at least one million viewers would watch BB on TEN. Im nit here to fight with anyone and nor do I want to. Just stating my opnion. I think BB could still be succseful if its done right.

How and why do people use my name on these forums honestly :p

Ah well, I dunno. It's either back or not :) shrug

Ah well
