Interesting - I loved Tahan too! But Jade did my head in.. And while I can see moments of cuteness with Skye, she is mostly doing my head in too. It's all the talking in an exaggerated manner in her giant fluorescent pink lips and the overplayed innocent bambi/slightly retarded look she's going for. Real or not, it's kind of annoying (to me).
Jade did my head in but Skye doesn't. But who know how I will feel about her down the track. Her blonde skye moments are annoying, I admit, I also get frustrated with the bimbo act, but overall I think she has a good heart and I like the fact that she does have tantrums and is feisty and bites back. She has guts and she has her own opinions, not aimlessly following everyone else's. She kind of reminds me of tahan like that. I wonder if it wasn't for the baby talk and the fluorescent makeup, whether you could see the parts I do.

Quite likely actually!! It's the baby talk and the orange/pink look that make it verrry difficult for me to take her seriously. But I can definitely see where you're coming from and those are some of the things I appreciate about her too. But sheesh! She must have brought in a whole suitcase full of fake tan and makeup!
My initial thought of Skye, was that she reminded me of the sugar sisters. I did not like the sugar sisters btw. It was too much of am act to take them seriously and their lack of deep discussion confirmed it. But that's when I could differentiate Skye from that, because she could hold a conversation like that and was able to show more of herself other than just makeup. So I get why you can't look past that too. Haha I actually was joking around the other day that she always wears everyone's clothing so she mustn't have brought her own clothes and sacrificed them for her makeup.

It's hard to believe but make up makes her look older. She looks very fresh faced and naturally purdy without it, hopefully BB keeps it from her for a few days.
Make that a few weeks. Months. Such a good punishment, and she took it so well. My eyes thank BB.

God no! It actually horrified me that I come back one year later and while everyone elses fans have moved on, the Jade Appreciation Thread is still going strong with the usual suspects protectively nitternattering over her every desperate attempt to famewhore her 15 minutes in the house into a tv career and continue to chase men who want nothing to do with her past a one night stand, all the while calling everyone who may have a different (and more accurate) opinion of her a worthless troll.
Skye is awesome fun and entertaining, intentionally or not. Watching Jade was sheer eyeball ripping agony.

I like her, though. She may be putting on an act, but it's a good one. She's one of my favourite HMs and I didn't expect that at all. She just seems genuinely nice regardless of her actual persona - that part of her seems to shine through. I wouldn't compare her to Jade, either. Jade was unbearable and had 0 redeeming qualities to her (besides her body). Skye's personality is quite strong and she doesn't seem to want to conform or change it based on appeasing the HMs, which I love.
