Gwen - Wedding
pencils by Artgerm, fan colours by me
Ok, I know this is meant to be MJ and Spidey getting hitched in Amazing Spiderman: Renew Your Vows, but I did it as a "What if..?" - What if it were Gwen Stacey instead of MJ? So, here ya go...

I got the original lineart off Heritage Auctions (ha.com). Overall this picture took me 3 weeks to do as I first had to clean up the lineart and then... well doing Artgerm lineart is a bit more involved as you're up against the Master so you have to make it look good.
I'm also loving how the lace work of her bodice and gloves came out. Just a modified 'lace' brush off Deviantart there. I have no idea who made it now.

I was colouring this one the usual way, with Supergirl in her usual blue and red colours and flying in the clouds. Pretty boring really.
Then I saw an AI render of "Dark Supergirl" and went "A-ha!!..!" So I pinched the colour scheme and here we are.
So I guess AI is useful for *something* at least...

About 20 years ago, Steve Firchow sent me a big stash of highres lineart of Topcow covers and pinups to have fun with (Because he's that sort of nice guy!!) and for the most part I've just *sat* on them supposedly saving them for another day... Well I thought I'd better get to colouring some of them!!

Goblin Queen
Pencils by Brett Booth, inks by "MysticGM" on D/art, colours by me.
The inks were 'ok'... but BB's characteristic background cross hatching was done horribly so I removed it and substituted what you see here.

Colour test for this new character by Clay. He's in the same universe as that Delta Kash, Nebula and Vanguard but this is the big bad guy's right hand henchman that does all the dirty work.
Background:
Kaltok (Codename: Shadowstrike)
Role: Villain
Kaltok was once a high-ranking soldier in an elite military unit. His career was marked by a series of covert operations that showcased his exceptional skills in infiltration, stealth, and hand-to-hand combat. However, his life took a dark turn after a mission went disastrously wrong, leaving him betrayed by his own government and dishonorably discharged.
Transformation:
Embittered and seeking vengeance, Kaltok was approached by the enigmatic Dr. Nexus. Nexus, a shadowy figure with a penchant for manipulation, offered Kaltok a chance at redemption—or at least, a chance to wreak havoc on those who wronged him. Nexus equipped Kaltok with advanced armour and enhancements, making him faster, stronger, and more lethal than ever before. Reborn as Shadowstrike, Kaltok now serves as Nexus’s chief enforcer, carrying out missions that teeter on the edge of legality and morality.
Personality:
Kaltok is a complex character—a blend of relentless determination and seething anger. He’s highly intelligent and tactical, always planning several steps ahead of his enemies. Despite his villainous role, there remains a flicker of the disciplined soldier he once was, occasionally hinting at a code of honour buried deep within him.
Combat Skills:
Stealth and Infiltration: Shadowstrike is a master of moving unseen and undetected, making him a formidable adversary in covert operations.
Close-Quarters Combat: His enhancements give him superior strength and agility, making him deadly in hand-to-hand combat.
Advanced Weaponry:
He wields a variety of high-tech weapons, including energy blades and stealth gadgets, all designed to maximize his lethality while minimizing detection.
Adversaries:
Delta Kash: The main protagonist and his nemesis, Delta Kash, embodies everything Kaltok once believed in. Their battles are intense, fueled by a mix of professional rivalry and personal vendetta.
Nebula: A female ally of Delta Kash, Nebula’s quick thinking and technical prowess often counter Kaltok’s plans, making her a significant thorn in his side.
Vanguard: The male counterpart, Vanguard’s brute strength and resilience offer a physical challenge that tests Kaltok’s combat skills to their limits.
Allegiances:
Dr. Nexus: Rarely seen but always influential, Dr. Nexus is the puppet master behind Kaltok’s actions. Nexus’s motivations are shrouded in mystery, but his trust in Kaltok is implicit, relying on him to execute his most dangerous and clandestine schemes.

Sometimes you've just got to follow the already perfect original colour scheme (by Peter Steigerwald)
Though I am particularly chuffed with how the submerged rocks came out in the bottom third of the picture. Those are just a 'chalk' brush and the partially erased using a 'snow' splatter brush.

This was posted on Grok Comics Universe --> https://www.facebook.com/groups/325787905056864 so I thought I'd give it a quick colour up.
