Ryan: What does he actually bring to the show?

I don't dislike him, but thats cos he's not really done anything to get under my skin.

Having said that, I don't particularly like him either, cos he's just flying under the radar. He was offensive to Travis once, but other than that, he's done nothing.

Just something about that Travis episode which you probably haven't heard, and the message was mucked up by Big Brothers editing this year. In Mike Goldmans' podcast interview with Sam, Sam explained that situation. The night before that encounter, him and Ryan where standing underneath the treehouse when Trav was in there with Aisha or something, and Trav was asking them what they where doing there. Anyway Trav threw a comment about fisting Ryan's aunty.

The next day when they where playing the bowling game, Ryan made a joke that it was better than fisting Trav's aunty, to which Travis replied that it was better than fisting his sister.. Now that comes off differently.

So actually, when you think about it, that missing information that BB didn't present to us got the wrong story out about their attitudes, we where not given context. Sorry to say but major BB fail this year.

I think Ryan is one of the more layered housemates and is much more interesting than what Big Brother is showing. I think he would've brought much more in a Channel 10 season where we see more content, which would have allowed us to get a deeper understanding of who he is. Channel 9's version only seems to want one dimensional type characters like Skye, Travis and Jason.

I wish I could understand his sense of humour. Haven't laughed yet, besides a bit of internal amusement at the frozen chicken on the first run. I'll assume that we're seeing 'sufficient' footage of Ryan if you are able to understand this humour, as some evicted housemates have said that Ryan is the most funny in the house but I haven't been able to understand that from what I've seen, and I haven't seen him make jokes and the other housemates laugh.

His humor isn't exactly G-rated. That's why we don't see any of it.

I didn't know this, thanks for the info. I wonder if Sam is really telling it how it actually went.

I know a lot of people on here are fans, but I would like to know why?

What does he bring to the the show, besides people thinking he is hot?

Thoughts :)

I think he brought with him a cloak of invisibility that he wore for about the first 30 days. We he took the cloak off and you actually noticed his existence it was like having the novelty of a whole new HM show up, without the stigma of being an intruder!

He's not my type for me to think he is hot, but I guess he did have an aura of mystery for a couple of weeks - maybe that was enough to get the votes the first week he was up, as people wanted to get to know more?

At times I do get the feeling he would be interesting to have an in depth and intelligent conversation with, but other times I wonder if he would be condescending if your opinion differed to his. A lot of evicted housemates in interviews seem to think highly of him, and thinks he has a great sense of humour, which I think must say something about him. While he isn't my favorite to win, I really didn't think much of him in the beginning, but I feel I may have unfairly judged him based on limited info, so have been giving him the benefit of the doubt.

My opinon: I think, he is boring and does bring enough content for the show, he might be nice and all the housemates want him to win, but I think he has played the game poorly - coasting on others!

Thoughts :)
My thoughts are that he is as boring as batshit and has done nothing remotely interesting to have lasted this long in the show.

What, in the name of Hermes Thrice Greatest is 'fisting'?

I think he would actually make a great winner.

2014 has overall been a shit season and I think out of the horrible cast Ryan and David have been the most unique and have played the best game.

RYANS manipulation was well thought and he knew very well when to not talk and when to talk.
He started showing himself right when everyone else went down hill.

What has Skye done that makes her a deserving winner?? All she has done is talk like a 7 year old girl who jumped from guy to guy and cried when she realised things were NOT going her way.

What has Travis done except pash aisha and show a true uneducated classless bloke with NO wit what so ever?

The rest are intruders...leaving 3 deserving contenders, Priya, David and Ryan.
Why?
1. Because neither saw showmances, cheating and immaturity as the way to win
2. They played with their heads
3. They knew who to talk to, when to do it and how to go unnoticed by the housemates.
To me Ryan has done that better than the other two and since everyone who has come out of there has even said Ryan is a great guy and a great player means WE are the ones that have seen nothing from him.
It's not his fault the stupid BB producers decided to focus the season on skyes tantrums, lawsons cheating ways and trasha being trashy.

Screw those who think being entertaining is acting like a dumb 7 year old girl or those who think kissing your way to top 5 is the way to be a deserving winner.

Seriously, I think Ryan has played a faultless game.
He did the right amount of pot stirring and the right amount of entertainment, without having to cheat on his girlfriend, act like a teenage boy with raging hormones and a dumb blonde.

Well done to Ryan, and if he doesnt win he was robbed of what he deserved.
Same goes for David and priya if they lose this game to likes of skye, penny and travis.

Travis doesn't have absolutely no wit, he has managed to woo most of the women that have been in the house, he has an iota of something.

I've decided that my vote is pretty much with Priya or Ryan at this stage as my favourite for winning. Dave lost it for me when he didn't make sure that all 4 intruders where on the eviction list during his powerplay. That should have been the next thing he did after checking that he was safe, he's a little too clumsy with this shit for my liking.

But David's plan during his deadly dozen powerplay was to get Skye and Priya up in the red zone. He didn't care about the intruders.

It would have been more sensible to work on nominating the intruders in my opinion, since they have just waltzed onto the show and they have a huge shot at $200,000 for doing nothing. It is almost criminal that Lina is not on the role.

But why? David was only concerned about nominating threats to him winning Big Brother. David was never going to nominate the intruders. He had no time to do what was 'sensible'.

I'm glad such a talented and hard working person like Lina is not up for eviction this week.

But if BB had shown that incident truthfully to the viewers it would've made their golden boy Travis appear in a bad light & we can't have that now, can we? Travis & Skye are being given a ride on Alex's magic rug all the way to the Final 3.
