Far out!
One specific person is really intimidated by Ryan.
I'm not even going to bother responding in their thread and as this is an appreciation thread I'll go on to explain why I want ryan to win.
Lets start from the very beginning of the season, he went in there with Travis but disappeared completely in the stupid story line surrounding Aisha and Travis, Lawson and Cat and David and Lisa (unfortunately )
But, in week 3-4 we finally saw him in the hotel task and fans who like Ryan purely based on his personality would have jumped on the ryan train then (Like myself).
I enjoyed seeing how well he coped with the task and how he tried to see the plus side to a horrible task, he made witty jokes and he was not a glass half empty kind of guy during it. When majority of the housemates started to turn into a broken record and completely cliche Ryan kept together and never stooped low.
He fixed his problems with housemates that clearly annoyed him and never dragged it out like many in there did (priya and skye).
I see him as extremely clever , I read what the user Brent had to say in that thread and I agree with parts of it and thats why I like Ryan however, I see how ryan has played the game as positive compared to the negative malicious game so many left have played. He's played the game with his mind 100% switched on, he was nice to all the housemates so they wouldn't talk crap about him on the outside once evicted and at the same time he made no enemies on the inside and escaped nominations for 5 weeks.
He has played a sneaky game and for me, to stand out you don't need to always be the attention seeker or the clown. He's managed to get everyone to like him and he's done this by not being fake but 100% himself and that just reflects that he's a great person who didn't use bitchy tactics to make others look bad so he could win.
He definitely has played a strategic game and the beauty about it is so many don't actually realise how well Ryans played. He has not once fell into the trap of losing his cool/revealing a bad or weak side and in those instances with Skye and Travis, he only managed to expose who they were.
I think people underestimate Ryan's contribution because they don't realise how well he managed to go in there. He doesn't get any hate from 100% of the housemates ! To me thats how to win. They all adore him and wished they had played like him (eg what lawson said)
He never tried to steal the spotlight, he never gossiped to the point the viewers said SHUT UP is that all you can do all day? he never relied on a showmance to get him to where he is and he never had to be the class clown to win votes.
All he did was be 100% himself and use his wits to never stoop low, never cross the line and be on everyone's good side.
Why is it so hard for people to realise just being nice and patient is sometimes enough to win? you don't need to go in there and smack people down but just play a good non-malicious game.
It is so unfair that for the public to see you as a deserving winner of BB you have to be someone who is cruel, dumb, have a god complex , class clown or the gossip.
I'm sorry but why is that the the people who play an honest game and never try hard are always seen as pathetic? He has been 100% entertaining but his method of getting to where he is did not need him to be mean or play dumb, but just be an honest genuine guy.
There's so much about his personality that I love to have myself. I think he's extremely intelligent, tough (mentally) and very well composed and to me those are characteristics essential be a respectable and likeable person, and the great thing about it is that he isn't faking it, that's just him.
Also a lot of my liking stems from how his family have represented him on the outside. They are such great people and it only reflects on him and he has so much love for his family and that only shows how amazing he is.
I mean what is there to hate?
If you don't like Ryan, you clearly have a problem with nice people.
And those who say he is arrogant? ...well in response to you, not once has he ever said "I am the winner of BIG BROTHER" or showed confidence that he has any chance to win.
And we all know that's true arrogance.
This was all typed on my phone so sorry for any weird typos.
