Ryan appreciation thread

Apologies to Estelle but aside from his regular snide remarks there doesn't appear to be much more to him that piques my interest.

He's given some insight and advice which has been decent. I think we've seen more of this from Travis, but he just speaks like a bogan. Ryan sits back and observes more.

In the Hotel task from the get go he started the snarky attitude behind the backs of the guests, which then infected everyone but Jason and Priya. He ruined the task for them because he never embraced the 'living with the task, accepting it' he did his part around the guests, possibly for the 5 grand only, but the second the guests were away, he was never anything but negative.

I think Ryan says what the other housemates want to hear which means he is good at avoiding nominations but is often missing from the Daily shows.

He doesn't like most of them. Close with a few and so his circle of bitching trust is solid.

Lol Priya was talking behind the quest's back too. I think I would have been negative too because the quests were horrible. This was a task for all of them. Yes, they had to be in the role of 5 star quests but not all 5 star quests act the way they did. If they wanted to win the task why on earth weren't they thinking that maybe they should make it possible for the staff to actually keep up with since they're working together. It could have been a fun task, but It's the quests who made it terrible.

What were they doing that the staff couldn't keep up with?

What were the examples.

You could have gotten a bottle of water yourself. Well atually if they got up and walked to the fridge, the staff would have to jump up and get it for them anyway. Or risk failing.

Hot water and lemon. OMG such an imposition.

Aisha asking for her food to be put in the microwave to be warmed up. I really don't see what is so massive about that. It's the fact the staff had to do anything that is the issue with them.

As for the whole, 'we wouldn't have done that' well their actions in the task show that not to be the case. They took every opportunity to be shitty to the guests they could. Taking advantage of their position as food staff to deliberately mess with their food. Flipping their raft into the water. Sam abusing Aisha in the day spa. If they were taking advantage and pushing their staff role where they could, surely they'd have done the same as guests. Yet there is nothing actually outside of what would normally be expected for the role that was pointed to.

They jumped on everything.

What highlighted the absurdity was Sandra nominating Travis for saying his burger was soggy. When we saw the clip it was him saying that, laughing and then complimenting the food. Not so bad. When BB pressed Sandra on what Travis should have done. She actually said something like he should have politely sent it back to be remade. Can you imagine the furor if he had done that. As it is way above what any of their complaints were.

The staffs negativity ruined the task. It was all completely lost when that passive aggressive nature came out with Sam and Priya abusing Aisha. Then it spiraled more because they all knew they lost and they were shitty because they had done work and it was over and they still had to continue the task.

I hope he goes far, I think if the clawson thing would just go already then bb might start focusing on the other hms for once. He gets the least coverage but when I do see him on the screen, he actually cracks me up the most

Here's to hoping he goes far.

He is starting to come out of his shell a bit more. Everything about him is just so wonderful.

I feel like I've seen a total of no more than 5 minutes of footage of Ryan, but I quite like him from what we've been shown. He's funny. I keep thinking about when he said "He's an odd character, Laws. How does he know how to hoola?... I like it." :roflmao::hilarious::roflmao::hilarious::roflmao:

Of all the housemates I think I relate to Ryan the most. I grew up in a communal (culty) background. IThere were tons of emotional backstabbing and I would sit back and watch the drama unfold, butting in, mostly to make caustic observations of people. He is one of those people that fly under the radar, but when he does speak, people tend to listen.

He really seems like a lovely guy.

He seems to get overlooked in the edit of the daily show, and I am stoked we got to know him a bit better through the motel challenge.

While I think he has buckleys of winning, I think he adds a great flavour to the house.

That was hilarious! I can see why the hms think he is one of the funniest... Damn it, I want to see it too!
